  1. There are a lot of really good fan-made games, like My Little Foundation: Containment is Magic and My Little Investigations. Both of these are really BIG projects that took months or years to complete. Thinking of them made me wonder: Why isn't there a Rainbow Factory game? The story presents the perfect storyline for a horror game. The way I see it, it could be like this: You, the player, are Scootaloo escaping from the Rainbow Factory. You have to navigate through the facility without being caught by any of the guards. If a guard sees you, he or she will chase you and you have to either hide or (later in the game when you find a weapon) fight back. It's your basic horror game, except instead of blood splattered everywhere there's puddles of rainbows. To escape, you have to go through every floor until you find the exit. As well as the guards, there's Rainbow Dash herself, who pops up when you're near the end of the floor and tries to stop you. Since you can't beat her in combat or hide from her, your only chance of survival is to get to the exit before she catches you. Once you see the exit, you'll only have a few seconds to react before she spots you. But once you get into the elevator, you're safe until the next floor. There are also a lot of imprisoned foals all over the facility. You don't HAVE to rescue them, but the more foals you rescue the higher chance you have of getting the good ending. The good ending is where you escape and destroys the Rainbow Factory in the process. The bad ending is where you are just about to escape, but Rainbow Dash grabs you at the last minute and you get a cut scene of Scootaloo being killed. Unfortunately, I have absolutely no idea how to make a game like this, but hopefully some people in the fandom realize the potential. So, what do you guys think of my premise? Anything you want to add? Would you play a game like this?
  2. I'm probably going to get a little backlash for this, but don't judge until you read the entire paragraph... A lot of people, both inside and outside the fandom, talk about how male Bronies are basically defying gender roles. They're watching a show about colorful ponies, after all, in a society where men are expected to like violence, blood, and boobs. It's a good point, of course. But what I've noticed is that male Bronies (most of them) aren't really defying gender roles at all. Let me elaborate: Yes, they watch a show full of colorful ponies, something thought to be for females only. But I've seen Bronies trying to defend their love for the show by pointing out how manly it supposedly is underneath the girly stuff. Remember that Twilight vs. Tirek battle from the season 4 finale? Half the comments on YouTube were something along the lines of "If it has an epic battle in it, there's no way it's for little girls", heavily implying that anything with a cool battle scene in it is automatically masculine and "proves" that the show can be for men as well. The same thing happens with all battle scenes in MLP that are posted on YouTube. At least half of the comments are male Bronies trying to use the battle scene as proof that the show can be enjoyed by men. In other words, they're just aiding the traditional idea that men are supposed to like violence and explosions, rather than pointing to the show at large and saying "This show is well-written". I know not all Bronies are like this, but there are a decent few. My main point is that not all Bronies are defying gender roles. Quite a large number of them are just trying to make the show fit into their gender role. Your thoughts?
  3. Do what I've been doing ever since I joined the fandom: Write fan fiction, watch reruns, enjoy the music, etc. With a fandom this big, it could take months or years for it to completely die. And even then, there'd be plenty of super-dedicated fans who'd cling to the fandom no matter how many of them left en masse and even if the show ends. I don't think the fandom would collapse without the show. The fandom has nearly become totally separate from the show to begin with. A lot of Brony musicians have started to expand their music beyond ponies, for example. We can survive without the show.
  4. And please, no pointing out how a creature with hooves won't be able to use a keyboard -.- My question is basically: If the Internet came to Ponyvile (along with computers, of course), what would each of the Mane Six primarily use it for?
  5. I'd probably stop being friends with them. This might seem shallow, but I just can't bring myself to be friends with anyone whose against a whole group of people. This extends to people who are homophobic, racist, sexist, biphobic, transphobic, etc. Hating one person is one thing, but THOUSANDS of people you've never even met? Even if it rarely came up in conversation, it would still put me off knowing they literally want an entire group of people to disappear off the face of the Earth for something they can't help and/or isn't hurting anyone.
  6. I'm pretty sure these videos are carefully scripted and staged. The way the teenagers were acting was too stereotypical to be real (I know some teens are like that in real life, but the teens in the video felt like they were from one of those cheesy high school movies). In addition, they were only shown the theme song and given a tiny, insignificant portion of what our fandom actually does. Either it's all staged and scripted or the FineBros were intentionally giving the teens a narrow view of the show because they wanted a bad response for the sake of popularity (in other words, they were trying to use hatred of Bronies to get more views. And it worked).
  7. Since you want to read my fan fiction, here's the link to my Fimfiction.net account: http://www.fimfiction.net/user/TooShyShy I hope you enjoy them, but I don't mind harsh criticism ^.^ Thank you! ^.^ Here's the link to my Fimfiction.net account, since you want to read my fanfiction: http://www.fimfiction.net/user/TooShyShy Most of it is one-shots, though. Thanks Your avatar is cute.
  8. I'm a writer and a pegasister (although I prefer "female Brony"). I'm not very popular (and no, I'm not trying to get more popular on Fimfiction or anything by joining here, although I wouldn't object if anyone wants to see my fan fiction or my MLP blog), but I enjoy writing stuff nonetheless. I only watch animated stuff, with a few exceptions. Besides MLP:FIM, I'm a big fan of "Gravity Falls", "Adventure Time", "Steven Universe", "Family Guy", "The Simpsons", "Invader Zim", and "Hey Arnold!". There are a lot of others, but those are my top seven. I also love anime. My favorites are "Attack on Titan", "Sakura Trick", "Death Note", Elfen Lied", and "Ergo Proxy". The reason I like Fluttershy is because I'm a lot like her in real life. Of the Mane Six, I relate the most to Twilight Sparkle and Fluttershy. I'm socially awkward, shy, and I prefer keeping to myself with my books. Even though this will probably start a full-scale war in the replies section, I should probably clarify that I don't ship....except when it comes to FlutterMac. No, I'm not a homophobe whose against female/female or male/male shipping (I'm bisexual for one thing). It's just that I feel romantic relationships don't really belong in a show about friendship, especially between the friends that the show revolves around. I only ship FlutterMac because I feel Fluttershy would be happy with him and that it wouldn't hurt the show being about friendship (and Fluttershy and Big Macintosh being a couple would actually make for a good friendship lesson for Applejack). I'm rambling, aren't I? To sum it all up, in case no one wants to read that monster: I like writing and MLP:FIM.
