  1. Hi, welcome to the forum! Hehe, you're right, these emoticons are fun hmm, it must be nice to not be shy about being a brony I hope you have a great time here!
  2. Hi there! Welcome to MLPforums, I'm sure you'll enjoy it here! (note to self: watch more than a few minutes of the mlp anthologies)
  3. Welcome to the forum! I think it's cool you draw and do digital painting, I would love to see you art!
  4. Can I post a bunch? No Light, No Light Strangeness And Charm Digital Witness Oblivion Yellow Flicker Beat The last one I just found today. Edit: there is also this planet sound thing
  5. IMO selfies are about 75% of the time stupid and meaningless, I think self portraits are okay though.

  7. hmm..... that could be "A Story About my Uncle", it's an odd title, but it's about a boy who searches his uncle into an alternate universe. The main mechanic of the game is this laser grappling device you use for getting around. It's pretty cool.
  8. Making pony race abilities in MLTP

  9. hehe, I'm also right handed and left eyed, and do archery! I seem to do okay with a right handed bow though. I just either close my left eye, or more recently I've been just keeping both eyes open and trying to stay aware of which eye I am seeing the arrow tip with with; Doing that seems to work well for me. When I'm taking photographs I always use my left eye for the viewfinder though.
  10. Do you draw a lot? What are your favorite art forms? You could try "My Little Investigations", Minetest or even Portal!
  11. It's a bit of a strange art form because the software is creating the image and you down exactly have direct control of the outcome, but it's not an automated process. You still are the one creating the fractal, just through an odd interface of triangles and flame modifier variables. But it's still a very random process though, unless you are very good with flames, even then I think it's likely to be pretty random.
  12. Thanks! Now if only I still remembered how to make them look like that Here's an older render with different rendering settings. And another that I like.
  13. I know how that goes, I find PS so much easier to use than Illustrator. I also find Inkscape a little more easy to use than Illustrator, though the program itself is a bit clunky. The cool thing about using something like Photoshop is you could combine vector art and digital painting or photomanipulation pretty easily, well at least in theory.
  14. Wow, that is really nice! It's very well done and I think it's definitely on the side of being a more seamless photomanip. Getting the light all lined up correctly with a side/back light situation I imagine was a challenge. I really like the concept and if you think you can make an even more polished version then go for it!

Wow, what a weird thing, a mug cake! (I think that's even more of a lie than a normal cake!)

  17. Just a random flame fractal from my library I re-rendered recently.

    Too kind.

I hope this ends up making sense because I should be sleeping now rather than posting, and I may have strayed off topic a bit. I think I understand what you feel about wanting to make people happy and wanting to, for lack of a better way of putting it, go along with what they seem to want/need. It is hard, at least for me, to pin this sort of thing down because emotions and behaviors are so complex once you start pulling at the seams are trying to figure them out. So anyway, I have feel something kind of similar to what you described in the main post, not quite the same and not quite as strongly, but enough to empathize. For me I tend to go along with things, if they come from someone I care about, even if it's something I would rather not go along with. Most of the time it's not a bad thing, being helpful and stuff. Though sometimes you would rather not do something. With me it can be hard to conceal annoyance or resentment if it's something that I really don't want to do, and people can see it more than I would like. I feel that I can have a difficult time expressing objections at times without doing so in a way that upsets people, which leads to holding it in, which leads to seeming to be holding something in..... A strange thing with me is that my viewpoints of most things are flexible and can change depending on the situation, or the people in the situation. That sounds like a pretty normal thing the way I describe it here, but I'm not quite sure how to put it exactly. But it's also something that relates to seeming to not have strong opinions on things. The part about not listing to music struck a chord (har har, lame pun). I did really try and develop a music taste for quite a while because I didn't want to deal with the thought of trying to decide on something like that which reflects something about you. And feeling like my choices might not be one that are agreed with I guess. Even now I'm still shy about listing to new music aloud sometimes. Now that I have tried to write down some random perspectives to a level of accuracy that it's not exactly right, but close enough to how I feel, like I said emotions are so freggin complicated. You know a major cause of these sort of thought patterns, at least In my opinion? Anxiety, yep simple anxiety and being self conscious seems to me to be the root, at least in part, of so many difficulties I have. I notice in myself that things get better over time though, you learn how to control anxiety more and more. You learn better ways to communicate and process emotions. Anyway, I hope this is helpful in some way.
  20. Wow, that look really good! And for it being a first time with vector art too! I like how the expression is kind of a mix of a fluttershy and RD expression. You might want to try a program more geared towards vector art, such as illustrator or inkscape/ponyscape, because the vector stuff in PS is more of an addon thing and I've heard is better to use a proper vector program for vector art. That said, it probably doesn't really matter because it looks so perfect the way you are doing it.
