    My best friend might be depressed, and I have no idea on how to handle this. What do I do?

    He's mentioned not caring if he gets hit by a car and dies, so I'm getting really worried about him.

      Try talking to him in a comfortable environment about why he feels this way, and get an idea for what factors have brought him to this state of mind. If you have ideas for how to push back against any of these issues, suggest them to him even if it's only just one issue out of dozens you know how to deal with; as for the rest you might be unsure about, look online or in whatever sources would be helpful about solutions for them, and get back to him if you find anything particularly useful.
