So, I'm pleased to report that I finally found the song that I've been looking for for years.

I first watched The Cat Returns when I was probably four or five, and this song has been stuck in my head ever since. It's from a waltzing scene, which remains one of my favourite cinema scenes up to this day. The song played in the background; I discovered today that it's called "Waltz Katzen Blut," which literally translates to "Waltz Cat Blood."  It's a really beautiful and nostalgic song for me, and I'm so glad I was finally able to find it.
