I forgot to post this last night, but I wanted to give my progress on how I've been doing since playing Brilliant Diamond.
Starter I chose: Chimchar
Gym Badge count: 3
Current location: Just entered Route 214 after leaving Veilstone CityCurrent team:
- Monferno level 33
- Gardevoir level 30
- Swablu level 33
- Gastrodon level 30
- Skorupi level 27I will say I might have gotten further into the game, but I was having too much fun exploring the Grand Underground area.
I never explored the original Underground Area back in the original Diamond and Pearl games, so I'm making up for the missed opportunity now. I'm also trying to use Pokemon that I never got to use before instead of using Pokemon that are commonly used like Staraptor. I'm still missing a sixth team member, but not sure who to use that could cover for weaknesses and have that team synergy. I have a few ideas, but I'm always open to suggestions. Hoping to play more today at some point. .png ":)")

Eeyup! I'm surprised I managed to get that far in only the first day. I think I would have gotten further into the story, but the underground was a lot of fun. With the addition of getting statues to go into cavern-like rooms that have Pokemon you normally don't find in the main game in the underground. There's so much to offer in terms of finding items like evolutionary stones, items to build a base and such.
To get to the Grand Underground, you only need to complete the first gym and head to Eterna. If you talk to the Underground Man in the house next to the Pokemon Center, he'll give you Explorer Kit to go to the Grand Underground.
