I really miss my great grandmother right now. She was so close to me, almost like the grandfather I never had, but a year ago she passed away. I've been able to suppress the pain and grieving this long, but I feel like with all the tension on in my family right now it will all hit me at once. To anyone else who has lost someone close, some advice would be very appreciated right about now.

Even when someone you love passes away, they leave something of themselves with you. I feel that way about my grandfather, and I've dreamed about him many times since his passing. Don't dwell on their being "gone"; think of everything they contributed to your life and *continue* to contribute in memory.
