  1. Merry Christmas everyone! The Smashing Pumpkins - Christmastime
  2. No snow, but sunny and really cold. The coldest christmas in germany since 2010. I like it. ^^
  3. I worked a few times at night when I was a timeworker, mostly on a assembly line. And I hated it. I hate to work at night because I can not sleep really good at the day time (to loud, to bright and in summer to warm). Besides, my rythm of sleep was also always a total desasters because of the shift changes. And all this for just 9€ per hour. Luckily this time is over and I hope I never have to work in the night again. Yeah, it is quiter on work since no bosses are there and there is 25% more money, but it was still stressful in my opinion and the contras of night working are much more than the pros for me.
  4. I don't have one, so I can not show pictures here. But I have a picture I made two weeks ago from the christmas tree in front of the church of my former home village (where I am still really often when I visit my parents). I think this picture also showes good how christmas in a german village often looks. Normally, the houses are also decorated, but it was kinda late that evening and a lot of hosues had their shutters already closed. Here is also an much older photo from 2017 of the christmas tree while there was snow.
  5. Well, since I was a little child, I always suffered from a really specific phobia which is called vermiphobia (also known as helminthophobia or scoleciphobia), the fear of worms. It includes both, parasitic and non-parasitic worms. So, it was for me no difference if it is a earthworm, a nematoda (like a round worm), a tapeworm or a leech. When I saw a worm, I flipped out and run away. Rainy days were the horror in my childhood since the ways are full of earthworms (besides the fact that other chidlren made fun of it and came to me while holding earthworms in their hands tp scare me). Well, except for the parasitic ones, it is a totally irrational fear and with the time, I overcome my fear of worms. I mean, I am an educated gardener and the best friend of every gardener is the earthworm. I even watch videos or pictures were worms are in it (like a documantation of parasitic worms from a german speaking youtube biologist), but in my youth, I even could not that. I honestly don't know how this fear began, but it was really heavy. I was also for some kind afraid of snails, but not that hard as for worms. As a child, I also had another strange fear. I was afraid of the sound of sirens (like when the fire fighters are alarmed). I also don#t know how this arose, but I also overcome with it ... I mean, I was part of the youth firefighters later.
  6. Sepp the drunken reindeer. Who was the drummer of the beatles?
