  1. Welp, this is certainly a plot twist for the evening.:ough-scoot:
    Apparently one of our MPs ended themselves inside the Parliament house today. That's all I know for now.
    Just for context, based on internet comments, the last time anything like this happened, was in 1940, and that happened outside on the stairs. So quite the unheard thing.:ooh:

    I'm not gonna pretend I feel much of anything but surprise :maud: I have seen the name of the MP float around, and have no idea who they are, so I don't have any connection to the whole thing, regardless of the importance of this person on the societal level. However, I can't say it doesn't bother me at all; with a relative rise in school attacks and such, and now this; combined with the general political reality of my country, I feel like we are going towards...something awful.:derpy-unimpressed:

     Though may they rest in peace, and if they have family and friends, I wish they can grief in peace, regardless of the media circus that no doubt will follow.

      Shocking news... may he rest in peace. :(

      I found out there was a similar death of an MP in 1974, though it didn't happen in the Parliament House.

      @Tacodidra
      I saw that mentioned too, but like you said, that didn't happen at the Parliament house.
      The 1940 case, based on the comments, was some researcher who did it in protest to Finland giving away Karelia. :ooh:
