Ok if I could explain what just happened in the past hour....maybe

But I think the damage is now under control...

Heres what I have figured out... So at 9:10pm power blinks...

9:12pm power does what’s called a phase out..UPSs activated

9:14pm we take a huge power spike.. (power watch dog caught the spike at 182 volts)1of the 3 UPSs blows its fuses..

9:17pm Power is back on. 50+people are affected in my subdivision.

9:20pm first alarm sounds on the reef tank..High Alk. Warning!

9:21pm 4 more alarms! Full automatic shutdown activated.

9:23pm did a emergency 20%water change.

9:30pm tank is back up and running.

So when the UPS blow, it fired the controller for the alk. dose pump which stayed on,putting the alk.to beyond dangerous levels...before the shut down...

Total damage..

1 UPS fried

1 dose controller fried

1 dose pump fried

1 clam lost..(very sad)

40+Zoas lost

2 starfish lost

1 TV fried..

1 mini split damaged

1 iPhone charger exploded

total damage...

Ummm..well over $4000 if not more..

The fact that it all covered by insurance..priceless...
