  1. Well the new forum layout is interesting, but is definitely going to take some time to get used to

      Looks like Equestria daily tbh

  2. @@Blitz Boom, Astral nodded, having already thought of that. "Snarky comments will be held back, hopefully." She whispered, then turning her head to Misty. "I'll be sure to make any either." Misty made sure she was whispering as well, glancing over at Blackbeak. "Why do griffons fight to greet each other?" She asked out in Blackbeak's direction. He had only arrived at the hive just earlier, he had been trying to explain the situation of those earth ponies the whole time, Nectar wanting to teach them a lesson. "Trust me, they know I'm a good one, I'm sure Chow explained it to them." Nectar stood above him, glaring out the exit in anger. "They tried to kill you." "But that was before he could've explained it." He said, then nervously rubbing his leg. "Although it's mostly my fault for sneaking into that basement anyways. They didn't even add in a way to open the door after it closed." "So you traped yourself in their basement?" He smiled sheepishly, and nodded. "I'll give you that." She walked past him to the exit. "But they did use sorcery while trying, So I'd have to alert Celestia of the possible danger." Francis looked down, there wasn't anything he could say to keep her from doing that. Plus, he could get in trouble afterwards. "You are right." She leaned back, wings fully extended, and with one flap she flew forward at an alarming speed, heading to Canterlot castle, ready to meet Celestia face to face and she had before so she knew it wouldn't go south like it did the first time. She landed on the balcony, looking around for her inside the room "Celestia? I have something to tell you!" She shouted out, hoping Celestia was there.
  3. @@Blitz Boom, During their little fight, Astral was internally on guard, ready to separate the two if things got... worse than they turned out. But since that didn't happen, she approached the griffon. "I've not seen many of your kind lately." She said a bit nervously. "But considering how much I've only read about your kind in books, I'd say first impressions are rather, good." She reached out a hoof, knowing if the griffon decided to tackle her, she'd end up with a warding spell breaking a talon, or two, something that'd lead to trouble, so hopefully it wouldn't happen, but the thought made her hoof shake a bit.
  4. @@Spacey, So I tried to be a bit more different with this one, and made it with a different perspective on the head, which looks off. But I think it looks good over all. I also tried doing the same facial expression in the reference image Hope you enjoy it.
  5. @@Moon Dancer., I did my best to make the armor look like it was filled with stars, and it was rather difficult to make armor for a pony, with no reference images that helped. But in the end, I think I pulled it off without any image tracing, whether it looks like it or not. Also, the amount of purple made coloring him difficult. But I hope I pulled it off.
  6. If you have an OC you want done, I can perform some wizard magic on it, and make it into an image in my style, truthfully, unlike my other art, which if a vector, tends to be made out of composite pieces drawn out of other vectors. But not with the art from here, I plan to use your art to learn how to make original art, and hopefully make something good too for you to enjoy as well, critique on the results would be awesome, and helps too. But other wise, as I finish art works, I'll place a gallery of them below this text.
  7. @@Blitz Boom, They were kind of obligated to follow him, so they did, without much question, well except maybe one. "Are you referring to yourself?" Astral was quick to ask that, as a little joke. "Chow Wacko... rolls right off the tongue." She said with a giggle. Misty looked to Astral. "I know you're joking, but his shop was further back, why would he have a stand out here?" She looked to the stand. "Doesn't even look like something he'd do anyways." "Well, then either wacko is a name, or a joke." She paused for a moment. "Probably the latter"
  8. A bit of an art piece I made overnight for an OC that hasn't gotten much design yet. I certainly see things wrong with the image, but would like one critique on the image from another perspective, and being vector art, those mistakes can easily be fixed, or considered in later art pieces I make.
  9. @@Blitz Boom, "I'm not one for dresses, they're usually for those desperate for love." She said with a light chuckle, turning her head away, brushing some hair behind her ear with a hoof while glancing at Chow, she looked away to the dress thinking over what Chow said. "Or just to make themselves more rich than smart, like you said." Misty looked ahead. "Girly dresses aside..." She jumped in front of Chow. "How far are the Canterlot Gardens from here?"
  10. @@Blitz Boom, There wasn't any major reaction from Misty, she looked a bit confused, towards why you'd have to be insane to dress her up. She turned to look at the dresses. Then back to Chow. "Maybe, but I'm not one for pink." Astral paused her walking when Misty said that. "Wait, seriously?" Misty turned around, shrugged, said; "Maybe." and turned around to resume walking. "Chow, you can only pick on me alone for jokes for so long." "Well, if Chow joked about me, there's the small chance he'd go bald." Astral said with a joking expression, looking directly at Chow as she said it. "But don't worry, that ain't happening out here."
  11. @@Blitz Boom, Astral chuckled a bit, possibly her father too, there was also the chance he wasn't spying on them too, he wouldn't normally do that unless he was worried about Astral, probably why he knew about her attempts to resurrect the dead quite well. "I'll have you know he's not watching us." She lifted her hoof, as if casting a spell in her hoof and-. "Oh, well not all the time." It was green smoke, indicating he was. She blushed slightly. "He's joking dad." She threw away the smoke shortly after saying that, dissipating it, but it turned red almost right before it finished dissipating, Astral watching it as it did. "Anyways. I'm sure he'd enjoy the show if he stayed." Misty chuckled walking to the exit. "Shall we start the tour?" She asked pointing to the door. "Yeah." She opened the door, catching the bag of bits with some telekinesis before the hit her. she wasn't the most reflexive pony. She shrugged i off, knowing it was her fault and not Chow's. "Thanks, although thinking of it. We didn't need to bet on our silence. Probably would've stayed silent out of nothing to do." She walked a bit out the door, almost a bit too fast. She was anxious to see the landmark of sorts. "We're not in a rush, we need to take our time." Misty said, calling out Astral's current walking speed. "We can't enjoy the place without time to do so." Astral paused her walking. "Chow, you take the lead, again."
  12. @@Blitz Boom, Astral giggled at his mention of that. "I was going to say Warlock, which isn't exactly a good thing. But he's not that much of one, more like the kind of sorcerer who uses dark magic a bit to often." She thought over his next bit of speech, very briefly. "I'm not in a rush to visit him, so he could wait, especially when he has no idea we might visit him." She did remember moments after, that her father was able to see whatever he wanted to, he didn't even have to be there, an odd ability, but useful. "But there is always the chance he does." She said with a sight smile, a rather awkward one. "He always does, it's more of the chance that he doesn't." Misty corrected her, knowing Astral's tendency to go against her father's 'omnipotence' of sorts. She wandered around for a while, looking for a seat if there even was one, starting to wonder when they were leaving, but also not wanting to rush it, staying silent as she waited. Not as much as Astral. Who tapped her hoof against the floor impatiently for most of the time. Humming the theme to a show she shouldn't know exists to occupy herself. Deciding to mention her thoughts aloud. "I think we're ready to go when you are." Misty looked at Astral briefly. "Yeah, I am." She said, not quite ready, but she knew how impatient Astral could get if time went on for too long.
  13. @@Blitz Boom, Astral showed a curious expression, but then confusion. "Hang on, you thought it was bad for animals to eat synthetic food? So you went ahead and killed living creatures, to feed that to them instead?" Misty turned to Astral. "Astral, Star, not what he meant." Astral tilted her head. "Then what did he mean?" She glanced up at Chow. "Animals don't exactly handle synthetic food very well, real food is better." Astral batted a hoof, with a raspberry. Misty reading her thoughts on that "Transmuted food doesn't count." She said with a rather serious expression. She walked over to the back door, tempted quite a bit by what Chow had mentioned was behind it, she wouldn't need a key. Unsure if what was behind was something she could hand- "Astral." Misty knocked her out of that train, she was touching the door knob. "You're practically deaf at times." She lifted up a hoof, Astral's eyes widened as she was pulled away from the door, without any physical contact. She looked at Misty with surprise. "How did you learn to do telekinesis that powerful?" "I levitated a stuffed pony for half my life; it was practically practice for the real deal." Misty hid the fact that she had a very unused aura, resulting in a tone of magic energy. Mostly because she hadn't used magic for the entire journey. Except for Astral, who nodded. "Good point, just, don't use it on me anymore, unless needed to... protect me." She glanced at the door. "Heh." She chuckled a bit when she realized her childish actions. "I act more like a filly at times than a full grown mare." Misty stared blankly. "You have been living on your own for a while, not many others to learn from besides me, and Chow as of late." Astral nodded a bit. Misty thinking up a question. "How's your dad actually?" Her eyes constricted to nearly pin holes with a realization; she didn't know, but she said; "He's fine..." Instead She turned her head to Chow. "He lives here, in Canterlot which I mentioned before, but I suspect you won't want to meet a Warl- I mean, sorcerer, like him." She said referring to Chow. Astral's father used dark magic often, managing to balance it out with regular magic, constantly on the edge of going full dark magic wizard, not exactly the best parent. "Unless you do, but I think he'd be best saved until after the tour." "Yeah..." Misty only had one interaction with him... 'Hey kid.' And that was it. "He's best saved until after, not exactly being the sociable type and everything." "Well as long as the world doesn't end before then." Astral said rather sarcastically, unintentionally, and completely, jinxing the entire trip, and the world.
  14. @@Blitz Boom, Misty's mind went to an odd place when he mentioned 'squeamish' She knew she lacked trates like that, especially after her tribe... She shook her head, shaking the thought away. She followed Chow around a bit, a new question coming around. "What got you into the pet food business?" The question vanished when her mind answered the question for her, but she stayed silent on that realization so Chow could give his answer, in case it had nothing to do with hers. @@Seamore Sandwich, Frannis wasn't so keen to tricks, so he knew what Penny tried to do, but allowed her to quickly pass the idea away. And placed his bits on the counter."Thanks for your service." He said instinctively. "I'll be sure to come again!" He looked down at the bag once he left the store, realizing sharing with his hive the candy was better for his health, and luckily- being that it was a small hive -he had enough for all of them. His wings extended, and he flew away to his hive, not too far from Canterlot.
  15. @@Blitz Boom, Chow got her curious when he told her not to go in that back room, but she listened and entered, Astral deciding to check another time. "List? Like a list of places you are going to take us?" She asked looking to Chow. "Or is it for something else?" Misty wandered around as Astral spoke, looking towards the back room, curiosity in her mind. Resisting her urge to go into that room rather easily. "Not to doubt you or anything Chow, but why can't we go in the back?" She asked looking to Chow. "I'm sure whatever the reason is, it's a good one."
  16. @@Blitz Boom, The sun made it quite the distance up into the sky before they woke up, Misty woke second- "AH!" -from a nightmare. She was breathing heavily, trying to recover from the adrenaline rush that dream gave her. She got up, unsure if Astral should know of her dream. Knowing she'd say it was a dream, despite how real it was. "Hello sweetie?" She repeated the words of the stallion in her dream, he resembled Warlock, and he was petting a gem as he said those words, one looking strangely green resembling the shape of an element of harmony, it was even in a necklace. Misty wandered through the halls as she recalled the final moments of the dream, although not much else. It was as if something was telling her something. Astral opened her door, she walked in front of Misty at the bottom of the stairs. "Morning." She was flung back when Misty hugged her, the dream still giving her terror, just from the memory. "Woah!" Astral caught herself, levitating. "What's this for?" Misty pulled away, the two floating inches from the ground. "I woke up from a nightmare, it felt a lot like a vision." Misty's eyes opened shortly after, with a quiet thud when Astral placed her down softly. "I read somewhere that descendants of sorcerers have unique abilities, or be born with." She said, looking through books."Although If they are born with the same power as a parent, it won't activate until that parent passes." She stopped for a moment after, realizing she still didn't know what hers was unsure if her parents had learned magic after or before she was born, she pulled out the book of monsters. "Did you read this last night?" Misty tilted her head. "Uh..." Astral put on a serious face. "You did didn't you?" Misty nodded, looking down. "Well the page, What was it about?" "That Warlock guy, touching a weird gem." Astral opened the book to his page and- "Woah. There is not much on him, literally just a warning." Misty shrugged. "Okay, well we can figure out more about him later, instead we could go and see Chow at is shop." Astral turned to the door, holding the book, she opened a portal, and pushed it inside. "Good idea." She looked to where the portal was. "If only I could've used that for taking boxes in." She mumbled walking to the door, as she walked past, Misty hopped onto her, surprising Astral a bit, with a yelp from her. "Permission to board captain?" "Permission granted." She said with a smile, she opened the door, closing and locking it behind her as she exited. They made their way to Chow's place of work, assuming it was also his home. She approached the door of his work place, knocking on the door. "I wonder what he's doing, or if this shop is open."
  17. @@Blitz Boom, She caught the bit, didn't add much to the budget which was given to her earlier by Astral. "Don't fuss about it, I'm not turning you into a flower." She said in a joking tone, looking at his mane, thinking over what she could do to it, then she had an idea, an awful idea. She tucked it away for later. "Maybe something else instead." "We'll be sure not to mention magic Chow." Astral looked to Misty. "And do not read that book." Misty smiled in a clueless manner. "What book?" Astral chuckled a bit, looking to Chow as he suddenly hugged her. "Uh..." She was slightly speechless, even though it was brief. Misty didn't make much of a reaction to it. "See you later Chow." She said to him before he left. The two made their ways upstairs, Misty went to bed, and Astral checked on her to make sure she was sleeping. "Goodnight Misty." Astral closed the door, and went to her room. Misty opened a portal in front of herself, pulling the book out. She opened the pages creating a flame nearby her face, reading through them, one caught her eye. "Warlock?" She read over the pages, getting sleepy, the flame flickering, vanishing suddenly, Misty dropping the book back into the portal before sleeping. Astral couldn't help but shake the idea that Misty would read that book, and went to check a few times, some how managing to miss the moments Misty did read the book. "I need to sleep..." She fell onto her bed, moving the blanket onto herself. Her eyes closing and the sleeping world welcoming her and Misty.
  18. An episode of My Little Pony without a pony, excluding the ponies from the title sequence of course, is slightly ironic. It could be done, if they wanted to draw focus to other species, like Gilda's, Thorax life as the only good king in Equestria. Or even Spike traveling to visit his only dragon friend. There are possibilities for this idea. I'd certainly enjoy it, but only if they did it right. And without trying to sneak the mane cast in some sneaky way, like with the Dragon Quest episode, or Gauntlet of Fire.
  19. @@Blitz Boom, There was a second of Astral's ears lowering a bit. "You know, 200 is a lot." Misty proclaimed. "100 would be worth it still." Astral turned to Misty. "Alright, Chow, I'll go with 100 instead." She said turning her head back to Chow. She waved her hoof, dust collected from the air into her hoof, and created a single bit in her hoof from it. "Not that it would make much of a difference either way..." She placed it on Chow's head. She could've just handed it over, but she just wanted a chuckle. "You can have that." Misty chuckled a bit too. "Almost makes up for messing my mane up." She paused for a moment. "Almost." She said in a rather serious tone, Astral placed a box down with a thud. "Okay, so that's it for all our stuff." Misty looked to Astral, having not even heard Astral go out to get another one, she was rather surprised from Astral's sudden appearance. "I thought we finished it on the two hour mark." "We weren't, but we are now." She looked outside. "It's also getting late, so we should probably get some rest. Or sleep." She turned back to Chow. "Can we make the Canterlot gardens the first destination for the tour? I heard so much about it." She said in a very excited tone. "I especially want to see it because the God of Chaos was there." Misty coughed once, implying Chow might not know who that is. "Oh right! the God of Chaos is Discord." Misty nodded with a smile. "I kinda want to see it for that too, being magic users and all. But since he's good now..." She looked at Astral. "I don't even know why it would be excited for that actually." "I've wanted to see all the last known location of the Gods, Discord is a nice start for that." She tappd her chin with a hoof. "Well, any of them is a good start. But Discord is the closest." Misty rolled her eyes, heading upstairs. "Chow, I think she can fill you in on the Gods of Equestria." Astral looked at him with a smile. "Well, either that, or the bits. Just 20 is fine though..." She swung her hoof down wards, cutting a hole in reality, making a portal. Astral pulled the book out of the portal. "Hang on, do you already know of them?"
  20. @@Seamore Sandwich, He looked at her with a smile. "Uh, not really." He looked at the candy. "This is really the only time I've stepped inside one, to purchased something instead of taste testing it." He looked around, gummies and such, candy canes. stuff you'd expect. "Hmmm..." He walked around a bit, he had scooped a bit of the candy he had grabbed back, so he could fit a larger variety than just that one candy. "So my guess is that all the candy costs 5 bits per pound, without variations across them?" His cluelessness to how it worked showed in that sentence, he put the bag on the counter with candy corn, candy canes, few gummy candies and some heart shaped ones inside it. "I'd guess it has to be that way. otherwise payment calculations would be complicated." He looked at her. "Also, I'm quite fond of sugar." He said already realizing how much candy he had.
  21. @@Seamore Sandwich, His ears turned a bit to her. "I'll take a pound then." He took out some bits laying them on the counter. "Don't really have much anyways." He went over to it, and scooped it into the bag. "Oh and, thanks for the candy." He placed it on a scale (OCC assuming there is one) He scooped some out to make sure it was a pound exactly. "So, five bits right?" He made sure there was five bits on the counter. "Any extra?" @@Blitz Boom, Astral pondered the question for a while, looking outside. "2 hours, 2 hours.... How can I make it worth it? While staying within your budget?" She looked at Chow. "How about, 200 bits?" Misty chuckled a bit. "That's alot." She said covering her mouth with a hoof. "It might not affect our bits that much." Astral shrugged. "It's late anyways, he can pay us tomorrow. and it doesn't matter how it affects our budget" She walked over to him. "Really depends on whether or not you can pay us now, or later." She asked, putting a hoof forward. "If you can do it now..." She gestured to her hoof. "Put the bits here."
  22. @@Blitz Boom, Almost too funny to keep the laughter in. Misty was smirking when he wrote it down. but pulled off keeping the laughter in. Astral reignited the candle several times during their use of it. Managing to almost run out of it, before using another one. The wax clearly filling the holder for the candle with the old one, she placed it down on the kitchen counter. Turning to the clock, she took the new candle, igniting it. '1 minute to go.' She didn't just stare at the clock until the time was up though, instead she went back to carrying boxes in. Misty took her own candle a while back, after Astral taught her an ignition spell earlier, along with an extinguisher spell just in case. 'Do we get extra the longer we stay silent?' 'No, that wasn't exactly part of the deal.' Misty looked a bit disappointed. 'Well, It's not like we'd earn that much anyways with how many bits we have' Astral glanced at the clock, it had been a while since the two hour mark. There was a moment where she wondered when the deal started. In the case they still hadn't won. But she didn't think much on it, she picked out a potion from a box, looking at it. The label saying: "Magic Fireworks" She opened the potion, it fired out several fireworks above her, it was harmless and didn't do much other than make a small firework like explosive. The fireworks signifying their victory rather loudly. "I believe we get those bits, how much was it?" "Woah! there's a firework potion!?" Misty asked running over to get a closer look, distracted from their victory. Astral chuckled a bit. "Yes, there is."
  23. @@Blitz Boom, Silence for 2 hours? Astral was tempted to use a silence spell at the second it started, but that was cheating, and ironically required speech to make it work anyways. Oddly enough, they stayed quiet for half the time. Misty attempted many times to tickle Astral, and Chow, mostly because she was also constantly unsure if she was in on this bet. but with the stakes, she had to stay quiet until the- 'Wait, how long are we doing this?' She thought to herself, realizing she forgot. She went to Astral, tapping her shoulder. 'What is it?' Astral levitated a candle out of a box, lighting it with magic. arranging the smoke into letters to show her words, using her hoof to drag the smoke along into letters, before they faded away. 'I forgot how long we were going to stay silent.' She managed to illustrate this to Astral using the smoke as well, although forming the letters without moving her hoof much. but it still worked. 'Two hours' She created the words in the smoke, she turned her head to Chow. 'This doesn't count as talking, right?' She asked making those words in the smoke. Misty put a hoof on Astral's shoulder. Shaking her head 'No, It's a silent thing, so it wouldn't. plus it goes by Chow's rule of writing allowed.' Astral nodded with a smile, turning to Misty. 'Good, I guess I'll keep communicating with this then' She looked at Chow, she floated the candle over. 'Come on Chow, let's continue working' She wrote, making the words more visible for Chow. The two would communicate like this for the rest of the time. If Chow broke the silence with talking himself, they would keep communicating like that until the time was up, to keep to the bet, and to make fun of his loss.
  24. @@Seamore Sandwich, Francis took it, popping the candy in his mouth. His eyes widened a bit, realizing this was the perfect combination of his more favorite things, spice and cinnamon. "Thinking about it, these would be nice to have. I'd like some spicy candy from time to time." He then looked around, silently curious where the box of them was, until of course he asked; "Where is the box of them?" He asked, but not looking to far away from where she stood, knowing they had to be close by to her.
  25. Glados is the best villain, one who knows when to give up, instead of constantly trying, the weird thing is, she isn't even human.
