So what did you guys think of the Season 7 finale? I thought it was pretty good
(...and here are my thoughts about the episode)
SpoilerIt had a bit of a slow start in the 1st part, but it got better in the 2nd Part :3
I loved how RD and Spike teamed-up together in order to get the shield from Garble
...and I didn't know AJ was THAT strong
The battle against the Pony Of Shadows was pretty unique. Unlike all the other season finales, they didn't use brutality to win the fight. I'm still un-familiar with the name of the pony who turned into the pony of shadows, but he explains that he wasn't trying to steal their powers (I'm referring to the pillars btw :P) and he only wanted to be 'one of them'......and Starlight was the real hero in this episode, resolving the matter with a conversion rather than with violence...
Overall, I enjoyed this episode ^^ <3
(...and I'd like to say it was Twilight's fault for bringing the disaster to Equestria ALL BECAUSE she wanted to meet Starswirl :P)
...and there's one particular scene that's got me..."thinking" <3_<3 (yes, I have a crush on AJ. so what? ://P)

That, is alotta flank. Like, that f'nart thing I see about where I would think it'd get hard to walk around with that much butt. An' I've seen America, boopies!
Quoteall the other season finales have resorted to violence and banishing the villain
Really? Last finale (which I despised. We're already past Seventh now?) was pretty much just tellin' Chrysalis to stop it, then her tossin' a huff n' storming off. Heck, Tempest Shadow was basically talked down too in the movie. I'd say one of the most viable arguments against this show is how very often it just comes down to spewing friendship speeches. Tirek however... that was some glorious violence! Sometimes ya can't reason!
Also, Stygian refers to the River Styx of the grecian Underworld mythos. Possibly also those steel carrion birds which might have also given rise to the pokemon Skarmory. It means dark, gloomy, a sort of forgotten, shadowy place the likes of which have gone unexplored for countless years. Oft refers to caves, abysses and other depths. In other words, it's, like, 20% away from just calling him Shadow.

@Widdershins Well...there was a scene where Pinkie was defining the Mane 6 and there was that...awkward moment (I gotta stop staring at that pic ) ...and I reckon she's got a fine butt, if i do say so myself
Okay, the season 6 finale was stupid. They didn't explain HOW chrysalis was able to capture all of the Alicorn Princesses and the Mane 6, not to mention Cadence and Shining Armour A.K.A the ponies who foiled her plan in "A Royal Canterlot Wedding"...I'm just glad that this season finale WASN'T about Queen Chrysalis ...and I haven't seen the movie yet, so no spoilers please
Well...I do know that the river Styx was a poisonous river and it was one of the rivers that led to Hades...
