I'm surprised the Corona Virus is causing people in Australia to stock up on toilet paper, almost as if they're preparing for the apocalypse

(...and this is a real thing btw)

Around here in Japan, the radio has been on about its symptoms. Sniffling, aches, fatigue, the Flu. So yes, basically everything I've always had. From all of what little has been said about it I have now the Corona Virus.
It doesn't seem like it actually DOES anything. Just mindless preparation for something that actually isn't all that bad. Maybe if the Media didn't like to report things like it actually knew any detail we wouldn't be in this mess.
… Then again, Sis did say that there were satellite photos of the town it originally cropped up in... completely fully quarantined and with one escaping care being broken down with the lady inside being accosted and dragged back into town, zombielike.
Could be! I'm already Functionally Dead! Thus making me a wonderful carrier of a zombie plague without suffering the worst of it! Huzzah!

Symptoms for otherwise healthy people are mild from what I have read, but people with weak immune systems (old people etc) have a rather high chance of death. To top it off, the virus seems to be highly contagious, especially since someone could have it, be infecting everyone around him, but not feel any symptoms, so have no reason to not travel etc.
When you get the flu, you quickly start feeling bad and that usually makes you want to stay at home instead of traveling..Here you do not feel anything for a while (but are already spreading the virus) and when you feel the symptoms you can think that you just have the cold and ignore it, continuing to spread the virus.
