Fun times with English!
Letters are spelt using other letters! 'W' has a 'D' as its first letter.
You can say the same thing twice differently! The dove dove downwards.
Contractions are nearly 100% exchangeable with their expanded form, but not always! It's one of the many quirks of this language we've.

Balderdash! "Double U" is merely poor country colloquialisms used to crudely define the shape, not technically the letter form itself! Letters are defined by their sounds, therefore it is a Wuh!
Just because you CALL something a thing, doesn't make it that. It's why English is the incomprehensible garbage language it is; everybody just does whatever they feel like with it! There's a bajillion words & ways to all say the same thing!
That example would imply that Buffalo is either an action verb or a descriptor. Somewhere in that garble are antiquated, archaic words fallen into so much disrepute that nobeing still knows it other than to trot out that little tidbit. Surely such word-disrespect to flog them while they're dead!
