  1. @Orange Sparks Starbursr completely understood everything she had just said, and his calmed beating heart had begun rapidly beating again as he crossed his hand over her shoulders and gently brought her closer to him. In an attempt to calm her down, or in an attempt to show that she's not alone, he gave himself an excuse. He certainly didn't need a friend. The world, and him, was fine with Starburst being alone. "It's okay... you're not the only with bad social anxiety." He mentally facepalmed himself and added, "I give out the worst advice."
  2. @Orange Sparks "Oh, so you are a deer, that makes much more sense anyway." He teased, giving her a slight smile before craning his head downward. "So what if you're a deer? You're still a living breathing thing, right?" He remarked at her comment. And he thought he was timid and socially awkward. Well, technically, he still was. "In my book, at least that's something." He started, continuing with, "And yes, I know what it feels like to be alone. And also, you're mistaken. I'm not from Canterlot. I was born in Manehattan, lived in Canterlot for the remainder of my childhood, and currently live in Ponyville in a place known as the Sugarcube Corner." He cut himself short, knowing how long he had talked for. "I-I'm sorry. Do you have anything to say?"
  3. @Orange Sparks Her answer was eerily generic, and he half-heartedly expected that. Nonetheless, he still accepted it. "I didn't want to seem like a jerk by just leaving," He answered, feeling a burst of confidence all of a sudden. "That's why I stayed."
  4. @Orange Sparks "...how about you?" He heard her voice call out then, as she leaned on him, as they sat on that bench in the middle of the park, under the shining pinholes of the night and the giant white ball radiating a modicum of warmth across all who basked in it. His nerves were still shot, but now they seemed... normal? They weren't as over the stratosphere like they were in the club - which he admittedly would like to get back to - but it... he didn't know to fully describe it. "I-I'm fine." He managed to say, not stuttering as badly as before. "The park is really nice at night." That sentence was the truth. Canterlot Park was the only place, except for Princess Celestia's castle, that he felt truly safe in. This was the only place where he could truly be alone, only with himself for company. He could hear Chris snickering loudly within his mind, and blowing a rude raspberry at him. And so, under these conditions, he asked Patience something that he wanted to ask before, and he meant 'before' as in a few minutes (or hours) ago. "Why are you still here with me?"
  5. @Blitz Boom He nodded, surprised at Vivid's acceptance of him venturing out to wonder at a dragon without a fight... then again, seeing the dragon was easy, it was the staying alive part that was going to put up a fight. As the mare pulled off a series of admiteddly unecessary safety procedures to open a lock that she must've put - which in itself was an unecessary procedure - the apprehension that had dulled down due to adrenaline started bubbling up in his gut, threatening to peak at its highest point as she opened the door. She turned to him and flashed a minor smirk, "Are you coming, child?" And she pushed the door open fully. He saw... nothing, no dragon. Starburst let out a sigh of relief that he hadn't known he was holding, and crept out of the inn. And in the distance, in the horizon, he saw it, a large jet black dragon flapping its wings like a buzzsaw.
  6. Name: Starburst Age: 19 General description: After losing his family in a train accident, Starburst travelled from Manehattan to Canterlot at the request of his father's last words, "Go to Princess Celestia." And he did, spending nearly the remainder of his childhood there and eventually leaving Princess Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns as her most faithful pupil, and her closest student. Family: None left. Likes: Strategy, cheesecake, light rock music, the feeling of solving a problem, books, magic. Dislikes: Himself, judgemental people. Fears: Being truly alone. Best Friend(s): None Friends: None. Rival(s): None. Other: He has a human subconscious whose name is Chris Hale, which talks to him every now and then.
  7. @Orange Sparks "A-alright," He stuttered, again flinching slightly at her hands gripping onto his arm, their warm and gentle touch surprising him the most. And he was also in close proximity with the level of fur surrounding her... chest area. He dared to not stare down at it. Gathering his magic into his horn, he slowly incanted the teleportation spell in his mind. It was a simple process, teleportation, but it was definitely hard to master. One couldn't just simply go 'poof' and reappear somewhere else. There were rules to teleportation - rules that he only found out after his first teleportation under Princess Celestia's watch. Closely following these rules, he envisioned the park in Canterlot, a place he'd been too before to think, and to gather his thoughts under the shade of a tree. Using these memories, he 'teleported' to the park, in a flash of pale brown light. Under the night sky, he found himself seated on a bench, a streetlight casting down light on the two of them. Roiling grassy hills went far off into the distance, and it looked as if they were in the middle of the park's paved pathway.
  8. @Orange Sparks The teleportation spell was foggy in his mind but thankfully, and mercifully, he had managed to remember it. "I-I think I could teleport us there." He stuttered in her direction.
  9. @Blitz Boom He put on a placid look as he shrugged in the demonic mare's direction, both unsure if that was the right course of action. And another thing came to my mind: an image of him strapped to a stick and put outside as the dragon was rampaging about. "I don't know. It's piqued my interest." His horn glowed faintly with a pale tan at that. "You sure?" He heard a voice call out inside his head, a voice that he had grown to both love and hate at the same time, his human subconscious deeply rooted within his mind, Chris Hale. "I haven't been more positive of anything in my life." Starburst murmured back in a hushed tone, "This is a dragon, a being of legend that I've only read!" "You might get incinerated, worse case scenario, it grabs you with its talons, and flies away." Chris replied tersely.
  10. @Orange Sparks Starburst flinches slightly at her warm head on his shoulders. No one has ever tried to do what she's doing, and even if they did, he suspected that they would either steal his magic and or steal his money. But this seemed... genuine? He steeled himself, chastising himself for overreacting over just her putting her head on his shoulders. And what else did she ask? To go to the park? Somewhere more quiet? I should teleport right now. But he didn't want to come out as a jerk, as a first impression of himself. Maybe he could go to the park with her, and then teleport? No, then I would be ditching her, and I would still be coming on as a jerk. He shut his eyes before answering her, in a stuttered voice, "S-sure, I'd like to go to the park with y-you."
  11. Put up a restraining order, and move very far, very far, like the distance from Canada to Texas far.
  12. @Orange Sparks Starburst shifted uncomfortably in his seat, a soft tint of red blooming on both his cheeks. His glass was visibly shaking and there wasn't much to say about the stallion who held that glass. What the deer was doing right now... sounded suspiciously like flirting. His emotions were chucked into overdrive as he started feeling uneasy, blurting out, "T-thanks for t-the compliment." Was it a compliment? He wasn't sure. He sipped his glass of orange juice with steady precaution, the teleportation spell already in his mind and at the ready. If he could be at Sugarcube Corner right now, or his own temporary accomadation at Princess Celestia's castle...
  13. @Orange Sparks He had retreated into his mind, playing an imaginary game of chess with his human subconscious... and he was almost about to win him! He had been furiously cornering him, blocking off any attempts of retreat that Chris could've used until he heard a voice greeting him from outside his inner conscious, reverberating through inches of skin and bone. He set down his bishop piece and glared at the smirking Chris, who had put up his feet and leaning back on his chair. "This isn't over." He mouthed to him, and he clawed back up from his inner subconscious, and up to his still-functioning brain... He blinked, immediately regaining full control over his idle body, and shook his head, which probably made the deer worried. "Huh?" He darted his head, finally realizing that another being was sitting right beside him, fiddling with her thumb as she waited for his reply, "My name is... S-Starburst. Nice to meet you... miss Patience, right?" Now I've got to get through the night with someone beside me. And Mr. Silvermoon sure is a 'talkative' fellow.
  14. @Orange Sparks @Lil' Lovebug @Raven Rawne Tapping his hoof repeatedly on the counter with a deadpan expression etched into his face, he slowly sipped on another glass of orange juice that the barpony had so delightfully served him with. "This was a waste..." He murmured to himself, idly tracing his hoof against the countertop. And apparently this wasn't the official ceremony, or so he heard. The insistent chatter amongst the patrons of this bar was obviously worthless, but some scraps of it were useful. For instance, a group called the Third Realm and the Cruxshadows would be playing for the opening ceremony, likely courtesy of the mare that had served him the Caramel Apple. "Maybe I'll stay a while..." He murmured once more to himself.
  15. @Blitz Boom Starburst wasn't expecting to dragged in by the scruff inside the modest inn, but he was. A deep rumbling shook the earth, followed by a large yapping sound that shook Starburst to his very core. That sound... it sounded similar to a... Dragon. It's a dragon that's invading Ponyville. Then he quite possibly had one of the most pessismistic thoughts in his entire life: Where's the Mane Six when you need them? He shook off the owner's hoof that was still over his mane, and unstrapped the box from his back. He nudged the owner of the inn, "It's okay if I head outside and check out the dragon, right?"
  16. @Orange Sparks The coughing had faded, and the dull throbbing in his forehead had as well. Starburst slouched on the bar, holding his hoof up to his head and groaned silently. "I can't think right now..." He murmured.
  17. @Orange Sparks Starburst coughed, wiping back saliva that dripped down from his mouth with his hooves. Chris, I'm never doing that, ever again. He deftly answered his -probably- smirking subconscious, and used his magic to check his body over. The spell that Night Dancer had cast, coupled with the magic that Chris had shot through every vein of his body, must've probably cleared out every single toxin from his body. But it didn't kill to be just a little sure. Before he could even answer the mare that had asked him the question, she had already left to attend another mare sitting a few ways beside him - a changeling, though it made no difference. A pony was a pony. I told you that it would've been a bad idea, His subconscious chastised him, probably waving a finger at his idiocy. You never told me anything! Didn't I? You... forget it.
  18. @Orange Sparks He looked warily at the cloudy red liquid, nudging it a little. Scared to drink it, Starburst? Chris snorted with a smirk in the depths of his mind. Starburst rolled his eyes and cautiously sipped the liquid, eventually savoring the fizzy liquid and downing it whole. Unfortunately, being a minor meant that he was susceptible to the effects of alcohol, and now he was regretting ever drinking the concotion. His senses were dulled down, and every word and thought that he produced came out through a slurred mind. Ironically, Chris was the only who wasn't effected, as he was just part of his inner subconscious, the one thing that wouldn't be affected. Now you're regretting it, huh? Chris taunted without any malice or subtlety in his tone. S-hu -hic- t u-p -hicc!- Starburst hiccuped once more before smiling like an idiot, calling out illiterate nonsense, despite feeling the cramps in his stomach, "Bridg - Bridge! Silver - ymoony! Night -hic- D-danc-!" I can't stand to watch any of this. I'm shooting a small amount of magic through your body to clear out the toxins... Starburst felt a sudden rumbling in his stomach, as if somethig were struggling to rise up. Then, he felt a sudden urge to sprint for the bathroom.
  19. @Orange Sparks "Just an orange juice..." He murmured, before correcting himself, "Make that a Caramel Apple." Starburst, since when did you know what a Caramel Apple is? It doesn't matter how I know it. It'll dull my senses and my mind for a while. Yeah, but why do you want to drink it? He remained silent at that question.
  20. Starburst took a furtive glance over at another mare that had also retreated to the safety of the bar, away from the chaos, away from the gyrating bodies dancing to the what did they call it... the wubs and beats. Another unfortunate victim, Chris spoke to him, his voice echoing within the depths of his mind. Again, Starburst replied. Sleep. Just sleep for a while, Chris. He felt the familiar bump from the glass of orange juice slide across the table and hit his hoof; courtesy of the barpony who was busy attending to the others. Pinkie gave me a reservation here for me to know some people... guess it was a total waste of time then. He took a glance at the stallion beside him. Well, not a total waste at least. Starburst! He heard Chris shout all of a sudden, giving him an unaccounted for headache, check out those fingernails! That mare, over there! Shut up Chris! Just look! Reluctantly, he turned to the mare from before, taking note of her goldish fingernails. Okay, so? Those fingernails look amazing! ... What? Just... just don't...
  21. @silvermoon15000 He leaned back against the chair, staring up at the ceiling blankly, up at the glaring lights which he still shone brightly through the slits of his eyes. The timed beats of the eletronic music blaring through the speakers made him tap his hooves against the counter, and he started humming to himself. You called me? Starburst sprang in upright in sheer surprise at that sudden thought of his... only, it wasn't his. The human subconscious stuck in his mind spoke to him, as it did so many times before, a human named Chris Hale. No, I didn't. Starburst replied to the mistaken human in his head, and tried to lie back down. Try and go back to sleep, Chris. To the outside world, it might seem as if he were having an invisible conversation with himself, which they would be right for.
