    Here's a true story. Before I was a borny, I would frequent a Pokemon forum back in 2011. I would mostly read the discussions for the Pokemon anime and for the games. And remember there being major shipping debates everywhere.       @Moonlight Hard to tell, I remember a lot of shipping debates on that forum. I think Misty was winning the poll last time I checked which was around 3 years ago.
