Welcome one, welcome all ........ to the ARENA OF CHAMPIONS!!!! 

The Arena Of Champions is a forum game based on the upcoming reboot of "The War for Equestria!" role play, and is only for those who participate in the play.

The Arena Of Champions sports a combat ring for participants in the play to battle against each other, any of the bosses that any of them have faced along their journey in the role-play, or even their own submitted characters.

Battle's in the arena occur outside of the plays story so that everypony can have a chance to fight any boss that they wanted to from the story but couldn't.

Anypony who wishes to test their OC's fighting skills against the greatest champions found in the war, must please PM me so that I can setup the battle between you and your chosen opponent on this thread.

As an added bonus, every participant will get their very own battle theme song !! So, role players will get to choose a song that they think would be really epic to represent their OC in battle, and that song will be added to the battles opening post with their OC's ability profile. The song can be changed at any time if any pony wants it to be.

If you would like to submit your very own challenger to add the arena's roster, then all you need is to send me their profile link (with a picture of them), and a link to their own battle music.

The rules of every battle are simple (I as the DM of the play will act as the bosses you face [unless you challenge one of the other role players instead], and I monitor the battle as they go to keep things fair and fun):

- Each participant of the fight will take turns in posts to battle against their enemy.

- No OP (over-powered) moves unless both contestants are OP.

- You will win if your opponent believes that their OC has taken too many hits.

- Be fair, be a good sport, and have tons of fun

Thats a possibility. My brother also suggested that this one other sounds website, so I'll weigh my options as I go.

Well, for the original boot of the play, I was using soundcloud links, but they have actually annouced that their website will be closing in about a month, so I'm going to be moving my sounds to another. I still haven't chosen one, but I'll lets you know when I do.

That's right guys. We are indeed getting a reboot !!

....with some added features that I have planned  (that I'm preparing a sneak peak of ). 

Before I launch the reboot, I've still got some things I want to do in preparation. For example, I want to reboot the story to be set a generation later (like the original) but a generation after the 7th season and the movie (and the movie releases 6th Octobers in 3 weeks), so I want to see those first.

In the mean time I will be doing prep like writing songs, story planning, finding more role players, and setting up the threads etc.

All my saved stuff for the original is on my desktop which I currently don't have access to, so I'll do what I can until I have that stuff back. Whenever I get that stuff, you guys will still be seeing content .

Creativity does sound like a name that a pony might have, but the way I see it ponies names relate to themselves without being fully direct.

Look at Rarity for example: She is super creative in her fashion design, but she is also an 'upperclass' type pony as well as a kind soul (and a bit of a drama queen XD)

The name 'Rarity' implies that she is unique (leaning on to her creativity) while also speaking for her other traits (eg kindness shouldnt be a rare thing, or upperclass people are generally rare to find).

Without me trying to sound like some kind of fashion designer or artist looking for a name with "pizaaz!", that's exactly what we are looking for as well as some uniqueness toward the character.

Your OC seems to be verging on the 'smart guy' vibe (by the image in your profile picture), and not just creative. (Correct me if I'm wrong) They seem to be friendly but also reserved.

Here are some names that I'm thinking: Multi-vision (a play on the glasses and the creativity), Rainbow thought (the uniqueness of their way of thinking plus the leg warmers XD), Mind-Scape (A play on their creativity and the vastness of it), Innovate Variable (powerful and unique thinking), Sam Same (An ironic name for what is actually an 'unncommon' individual),  Snooty fruity (snooty for the smart side, and fruit for the colors. Also a bit of  a fun name), and Inky dinky (just a fun name i came up with XD).

That's very true. 

What I hope to achieve with this song is just to see what a song that wrote feels like to be finished and see it finished. I'm also getting practice with working with others on making one and learning about how long it take to find others to work with etc. (This is my first time getting a song produced after all)

Still, I'm excited to see it's completed form .

Well the current backing track is already set for the song, and I don't want to change that.

Hi everypony, how are you?

So I have something interesting here you might want to check out if you would like your voice to feature on a unique MLP song  (one of possibly more to come ).

So, as a hobby I am a writer of songs and poems and I have written my very first My Little pony themed song.

The song is called "Poniville's Greatest Day" and it is set in Poniville before morning and progresses while the sun is rising. As everypony wakes up, they begin preparing for a big celebration (Poniville's 100th birthday!!). The song involves the whole town singing together and the main characters from the show getting their own solo's. The song carries that jolly feel that you would in song from the show.

I am currently looking for a bunch of singers to sing the various voices of characters from Poniville so that I can have a nice crowd of voices going to give the song that strong positive and fun feeling 

A backing track for the song has been made by the pony @MC'01, and he has also set up a casting call on the website 'Casting Call Club' where you can audition your voice for one or more of the various parts of the song.

No they are not the villains.

Just because they don't accept something does not mean they are evil. It means that they stand for something that is opposed to the things they don't accept. Not accepting evil is not just okay, it's be obvious.

If they don't want to live in Nightmares moons eternal night or Discords chaotic world, they "will" say no. You shouldn't be worried about sparing the feelings of something trying to ruin your way of life.

Standing up for what you believe in is not evil, it's means that you care about something and won't just let the villains walk in and do what they want because you don't care about anything.

I'm this case, the ponies of Equestria stand for friendship, unity, kindness, and love. How is it evil or in any way villain like to stand for that?

Lastly, Discord intentionally chose to join them and could have easily vanished after they set him free or attacked again, but he chose not to to see what would happen (Discord has described himself as "evolved" and has proven to be so on several occasions if you noticed it [such as dropping the ponies hints about the battle with Tirek by making marks in their journel]. A being as evolved as him would never allow brainwashing to even touch him [it would be "below" him]).

As far as feedback goes, I can only think of, perhaps make sure to proofread a bit. A few typos have been noticable in your posts. Besides that, my analysis is not acute enough for further, non-mechanical feedback.

I'm gonna miss the play too, but the ideas are still in storage and waiting to be used . I will make a spectacle out of them yet .

As for feedback... Err, proofreading was already said. So, good things... Interesting story... Not so much more since it was so short.

As for things that I disliked, err, I'd have to say not asking me about how a said scene could take place, but, we did resolve it so that's a tiny point. Err, try and explain the ongoings in the atmosphere more to set the general vibe of the area, I didn't see much of that, it helps others progress in their posts as they can incorporate it into theirs, what more? Try to set an outline of how your character will be during the roleplay/story very early, I still have no idea what Comet Dust is like personally unless I look up the personality or re-read the post trying to guess out his tendencies, this can and will annoy roleplayers that are less attentive. You don't need to do this but it is generally good to do so in a written story, especially books. Most of the time books start describing the main character in a past tense, explain how he became to what he is while giving out his personality traits fairly quickly. Then there is the other crowd that doesn't or do but does it in an upbeat fashion of doing it as they identify everything around them. This last one is very good in a less modern setting or a very unfamiliar setting for most.

Do forgive me for errors or hard to understand parts, I am not great at giving advice. I also am just taking things from what I remember. So, take everything with a grain of salt.

Alright, so I need to be even more clear on 'displaying' certain scenes. Will make sure to improve that in my future writing.

Comet Dust was meant to be a mysterious character to start with. His character is one of a very quiet pony who prefers thinking to talking, and more was only meant to be learned about him later. Still though, I should have hinted at mystery (etc) and not assumed it .

Nice to hear a few good tips from you guys, will keep them noted and do more research (like I always do, I'm a walking encyclopedia XD).

Hey guys,

If you haven't already noticed, my role play "The War for Equestria, the Musical!" has been removed from the forum .

I'm sorry to announce to you guys that it has been cancelled . I had a ton of fun planning so far ahead (like 7 chapters, you should see my notes XD) and enjoyed the interaction with you guys, but I have unfortunately cancelled the play .

My reason for this is that I am a lover of writing and decided that even though this play was a ton of fun, my initial reason for starting it was to get some practice exposing my written work to the public and getting comfortable with others seeing and responding to my work.

I have now decided that I want to do my writing properly, and work on my own short stories and eventually a sci-fi/fantasy book that I have long planned on making.

I hope you guys enjoyed the journey (as short as it was ) as I really did, and I'm very sorry that you didn't get to see what I had planned for you all, but I really felt this was the better direction for me to go (in one form or another the work I had planned may show up again , maybe not as ponies or maybe still, but the Great Army isn't finished yet!!!!).

If you guys don't mind, could you please give me a bit of feedback on the play? I.E. What did you like, what didn't you like, and why? and maybe any other suggestions that you thought of ? I'd like to know so that I can improve my wiring as well as user interaction better.

Once again I'm sorry to cut things short, I would have loved to go the full journey with all of you. It was still fun while it was going though . I'm glad to have spent time with you guys .

....and btw, even thought the play is cancelled, don't expect me not to be on the RP circuit for too long . I shall return as an RP'er soon or perhaps even as a DM yet again in the future .
