  1. "Nice meeting you and good to know my money is good here. Good luck with your engagement whatever that might be!" Shaking hooves swiftly Winter Bolt limps his way into the Tavern looking towards the serving area with relief at the warmth and the prospect of a meal and something to slack his thirst. Flying was not just physically demanding but something that made dehydration a consistent risk. Limping over to what appears to be a serving station Winter Bolt looked around wondering who to talk to or who was the Orange Blossom that he was told to mention Joyleaf to. It didn't matter just getting warmed up and having a meal soon to be at hoof was comfort enough.
  2. @LonnaKitty Winter Bolt looks at the stallion with bleary eyes letting out a soft nicker of exhaustion. " Good to meet you. I am Winter Bolt" He stood slowly and with care as his legs and wings were cramped from fighting the cold winds for hours before landing here. It was foolish to stand still after such a long flight and he knew it. Walking forward with a wince he shook out his mane and cleared his head before speaking again. "That storm blew me all over the place before I had to land here. Im exhausted and sore is there anywhere that I might get warmed up and get something to eat? Oh and are bits still the currency here? Because its all I've got...."
  3. My school. Because there is a cocky colony of them that wander the college grounds.
  4. Winter Bolt lands with a thump in the market almost falling flat on his snout. He had been flying for so long he was weak with fatigue and hunger. His normally frost blue coat was dusty and his normally pristine tail was snarled and tangled from the winds that brought him here. He his travels had gotten him caught in a storm and blown him way out of the known lands of Equestria and into a land he knew not. Still cold from the winds the pony stumbled and staggered looking for a place to rest and recharge before he just went to sleep where he stood. Bleary eyed he looks around the market hoping to find someone that might be able to point him to a meal and a place to rest his hooves for a bit.
  5. I think Dashie would have a painfully awkward start because she likes to deny anything even sorta girly forget anything mushy like love. That would create some hilarity You make a good point with this..... hmm I doubt it could be pulled off without regulating the guys to "house husband" status.
  6. Nopony needs to meet that special somepony. Relationships based on need are unhealthy any how.
  7. Oh no my memory is good but not that good. I am rewatching the episodes and writing bullets for a short write up. As far as not going too deep you are right. I avoid that for two reasons the first is that I do not wish to go so deep as to make this bland or boring for some. The second is that generally when ethics, psychology or philosophy get deep they tend to end up talking in circles that have slight deviations but all really say the same thing. Which is something that makes me wanna scream. I hope others enjoy this as I intend to do the entire series
  8. MLP Episode 3 Ticket Master In this episode, Twilight Sparkle gets two tickets to the gala and more than one pony wants to go with her. It appears that somepony is going to be very unhappy no matter what she decides. Which is a reality in life. Sometimes there are no good choices. Sometimes no matter what we do someone is going to be unhappy or left out. This is ok and just something we must deal with As the episode goes on her friends start to do favors which make her uncomfortable and really start to put pressure on her to make her choice. They know what they are doing is wrong as you can tell by the fact that they get guilty when they are called on it. But this is something that a lot of good people fall prey to. Desire, however, can push even the best of people to act foolishly even as they regret it. The best response to such pressure is shown in this episode as well. When our values and actions are in question sometimes we need to stand firm and say no even if it is to a friend. Even more importantly we must realize sometimes the right action is no action. As is shown by her refusing to make a choice that could hurt somepony and just sending back the tickets instead. Our final lesson of this episode is that lack of communication can create problems and knowing when to speak up can solve a lot. Had Twilight thought to ask for more tickets she would have had them in seconds and this whole mess could have been avoided. Have you ever made such a mistake? I have learned that Halons razor is a great way to avoid such a mistake this razor states “ Never attribute to malice what can be explained by ignorance.” MLP Episode 4 Applebuck Season This episode focuses on the idea of taking on more than you can chew. In it, Applejack decides to take on the task of harvesting her families entire farm when her brother is injured. However, it swiftly becomes clear that she has taken on a bigger job than she realized. Worse she fails to plan her schedule with gaps for emergencies that she might need to handle and even forgets to account for many other commitments she has. This leads to her not taking care of herself to a point that she is passing out at random times. Had she listened to her friends and learned to say no rather than accepting every request for help she got things might have turned out differently. Though in the end, she learned to accept help and things turned out ok. However, it might not have turned out so well if she had held out any longer. She could have lost crop at best and at worst gotten hurt or ill due to her disregard for her health. So what lessons can we take from this? That we need to accept our limits and learn to say not at times. Further that when we commit to things we need to leave gaps for emergencies that might crop up. We also need to know how and when to stop and take care of ourselves no matter how big the job or we put our health at risk. Finally, accept help there is no shame in it.

@Hierok I think I see now what the issues are artistically with my original concept of the cutie mark. Maybe a few flakes around the bolt would not only be easier but look better. What do you think? Hope im not being a pain. This is very educational for me.

LOL well, whatever you decide is fine by me. I am just enjoying seeing how others envision the same concepts I did in differing ways.

@Hierok I think that looks even better. I really like what you did with it.

Well I did not picture like flakes as in the crystal structure but like white dots that you sometimes see representing them in cartoons.

@Hierok Looks amazing. One thing I could use your advice on though. In my character sheet, I have the cutie mark bolt made of snowflakes. Do you think that would look good or do you think a few flakes around the bolt would be better?

    Ask Krash

What countries have you been to? and more importantly: Have you ever heard the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise?
  18. Yea I was a tweek working on SONAR gear all the time. They tend not to want you to have anything that could snag on electronics. some techs would take their watch on and off. I just resorted to a key fob watch or cell phone.
  19. Agreed, I mean the idea could be fun and could be workable. But man they would have to be careful with how they write it out.

*facehoof* Eyup cant believe I forgot that I linked that already......
  22. I think it could be great. Just has to be done right. Might even make an interesting "holiday special" for hearts and hooves day or something. BTW am I the only one that misses holiday specials being a normal thing for cartoons?

If you are willing sure. That would be amazing. Do you need the character sheet linked again? Or I could PM it to ya.

Thanks so much. For both help with the download and the pic in the first place. I did not know that was possible lol. Art is not really my thing ( love to look at it but cant draw or paint for anything ) so file types and how to manage them is not something I am too familiar with. Ill keep that in mind for the future though.
