Greetings from Budapest everyone! It was a wonderful trip but I'm glad to be back home. The city was beatiful, museums were outstanding and the weather was nothing but perfect, sunshine and +28 celsius every day I highly recommend Hungary to everyone, go check it out if you ever have a change!
All that intense sightseeing and walking around took its toll though. Now that my vacation is over, I may need another one to just relax and recover from this one!

Happy, happy birthday Recherche! Since Wannabrony and Vintjack already did so great job with their congratulations (and managed to find the most sparkly and festive gifs of all internet), there's not really much left me to say.
I actually remember when you joined here in the forums. You seemed right away as a great person, but little did I know that you would shortly become one of the most distinguishable and likeable members of this community. You have made this place even more positive and friendly than it already was. We are lucky to have you here with us!
I want to wish you yet again outstanding birthday, congrats!

Thank you very much, Divinity~!
I must say; I couldn't have come this far if it weren't for all of the lovely folks here who have brought me here in the first place~! Everyone here is just as responsible as I am! I can't thank you and the many other folks enough for what you have done for me.
Though we don't get to speak a whole lot, I'm hoping that we can change that some time soon~! until then, thank you for the birthday wishes, and have a great rest of your day~!
(Like I've said to others before, this is Recherche dating these things, just me sending it out because unfortunately, he can't log in to his account right now. )

Hi everypony! I haven't been that active here lately because of all the hustle in IRL. I'm taking part in a excursion to Hungary that my subject association has been cooking up the whole spring. Our trip starts tomorrow, I can hardly wait!
So don't worry about my absence, (looking at you @CHA0SXIII ) I'm not dead. Hopefully I have more time to dedicate to the forums after this. I wish that you all have a great week ahead of you, I'm sure I'll!

I rewatched today Werner Herzog's documentary 'Lo and Behold, Reveries of the Connected World' about history, future and impact of internet, AI and robotics on human life. World, technology, net and communication have changed greatly since the last time I saw this film, and many ways not for the better. However the film felt as current as it did on the first watch. Just like the last time, it left me rather uneasy, worried and downcasted. Reminders such as solar storms could wipe out the whole modern civilization by shutting down the satellites as easy as one could blow off a candle, aren't exactly something one want to hear before going to sleep...
Bit gloomy film at times but very informative and well done nevertheless. I strongly recommend everyone who's interested about the topic to give it a go.

I was riding my bicycle earlier today when a young women pushing a bram came out of nowhere and blocked my path. I panicked, hit the brakes too hard and flew over the handlebars. Now I have bruises everywhere, my clothes are torn apart and my bike has scratches all over it.
At least that baby and her mother are safe and sound...

I'm off to local craft beer festival. Good time, good friends, warm weather and cold drinks.

Krista Pärmäkoski took home Finland's first medal in the 2018 Winter Olympics today, winning bronze in the womens 15-kilometre skiathlon!
You go girl!
-
Krista Pärmäkoski won the silver medal in the women's 30 km classic ski competition, increasing Finland's tally to six medals in total for the 2018 Winter Olympics!
Congrats for every country and athlete, these were great winter games!

My paycheck arrived today just in time before holidays. Christmas is saved!
For a moment there, I was actually bit worried whether or not I would have enough money to buy gifts after paying the rent and such. Guess there's a lesson to be learnt about not leaving one's christmas shopping at the last moment...

Okey, I missed the Friendship day a.k.a. the best pony day, but you can't say that I wouldn't have tried my best
I'm currently visiting my friend in another city and I temporarily don't have acces to internet. Last night I casually asked if I could borrow my pal's laptop for "school work". Of course what I really wanted was to sneak in the forums and take part on Friendship Day celebrations and earn that coveted, desirable event padge. Well, my diabolic scheme didn't quite go as planned... While my friend sorta knows I'm brony, I didn't want to make huge deal about it and borrow his computer for something as juvenile as logging in to a pony fan site. So, under my friend's supervision, I ended up answering e-mails and writing an essay for a full hour while trying to sneak to the forums behind his back. It certainly was a productive evening even if I didn't plan to use my time as sensibly
Right now I'm writing this on a public computer on local library I hope you all had a wonderfull Friendship day yesterday and keep having one also today, since after all, isn't every day is worth of celebrating friendship?

I have been doing nothing but running up to complete strangers and repeatedly booping them for the last 24 hours. Now there is a massive manhunt for a "serial booper" and the police have been ordered to shoot to kill on site and there is an angry mob armed with torches and pitchforks looking for me as well, plus talks of bringing back stake burning's for me. Thus far there has been over $73,029,903,350.12 in damages caused, having lost their faith people are leaving their places of worship by the millions with "doomsday boop-cults" rising to fill the void, the walls have begun to ooze green slime, cats and dogs are not only living together but also talking in reverse Latin - revealing shocking information about everyone's birth certificate, and the President of the United States of America has declared both a state of national emergency, but also declared me a living national disaster - yet, I boop on, not sure what else my actions may yet wrot.
Sooooo, how ya do'n? :3

Ponies playing rygby? Well, apparently that's a thing
There was a snow rugby tournament in Finland last week and all of the players of one team wore unicorn outfits! Cool

President Trump just landed on Helsinki. Tomorrow he and his best pal Vlad are going to have a summit here and also a private chat behind closed doors. There won't be even a translators at the same room. Russian authorities have already stated that president Putin won't speak english during his stay, not even on that bilateral meeting. Sooo, good luck with that Donald...
This is great publicity for Finland of course, but I'm not that happy about these two madmen meeting in here. This is only a pr stunt for both of them and nothing new or concrete will be agreed. This is just a costly circus that will be paid from the pockets of Finnish and American taxpayers.
(Since this post is about Trump, orange emoticons are quite fitting)

There's a pony mod for Hearts of Iron 4? Now I'm definitely buying that game next time it's on Steam sale!
Funny how there are always those things you didn't know you need, but after hearing about them you can't live without

Wait, how come every time I log in it seems to be your birthday?
It must be some bug and error in my end.
Nevertheless... Happy birthday!!

Oh yeah! My favorite exchange-traded fund with Master Limited Partnership asset class has its 10th anniversary! Can't believe how time flies, such a great community, such great memories
Uh oh, what's this? Apparently there's also some goofy cartoon show about talking magical horses with same name...

*Sigh* When did me and my friends became so lame and boring? Oh wait, I know! It was at the exact same moment when we got jobs, timetables and responsibilities... There's a town-wide student party tonight and half of us are at work and rest must bail out before midnight.
Being an adult sucks sometimes...

Been stuck indoors for the better half of the week due to covid quarantine. Luckily after full set of vaccinations, only symptom I seem to have is the cabin fever
Well, at least I got break from work and chance to visit this corner of internet again
