"Conscious compartmentalization" has become my go-to survival mechanism over the last several months. Putting my emotions in a box and shelving them for later may not be "healthy" per se, but in a state where healthcare of any kind - most of all mental healthcare - is both an unfunny joke and the lossy punchline, it's the best I can do. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don’t this is actually a problem, as long as “later” actually comes. Like I’ve had to teach myself to shelve my feelings because letting them all out RIGHT THEN would cause more problems than it would solve.
But you have to actually take the emotion box back down from the shelf and deal with what’s inside it, at least in a more convenient setting.
I’m sorry that you have to always resort to that though.
