Ice Princess Silky <3

Oooo! Blast from the past! The origin of these comes from groups and groups of people gathering together. From all around the world! Different countries. Different cultures, different languages! Someone, a very shy and timid man, started typing in English and he made a few innocent little typos. "Hetter" and then later on "goid." One of my biggest pet peeves is watching people nit pit, criticize or otherwise bully someone over little mistakes. Great. You found a typo. Good for you! Someone tried to make the German man feel bad for making these typos and I instantly intervened with, "What are you talking about ??? Better? GOOD?? Those are not REAL words! You mean HETTER. GOID, right? How strange of you to try to talk sense in the realms of Banterlot." And people just played along in the spirit of lightening the mood. Encouraging people to just make mistakes -- learn a different language without the concern of having a typo. Just have fun. Also, if you speak another language -- good on you!!! Do not be ashamed of practicing or typing it to others. Keep going! Nonsense can be fun so long as it is fun, light-hearted nonsense. c:

People have been legit asking about "the lore" lately. And I have been promising something like this for year. but never coming around to it until now.

Ah boy. The GREAT controversy of Silky's freakin lock of hair on her head. Is it a metal pin? Is it a moon? Is It a lock of hair that looks like a moon ?? Nahhh it is a CROISSANT. This one actually sparked from a sketch that I can no longer find. And my perfectionist mind just did not allow it to continue unfinished, anyway. So it is probably for the best. But the skit went something like this: Silky and Vibrant as younger ponies: Silky: Hi! My name is Starry! Vibrant Grove: .. Nice to meet you. I'm Vibrant -- er.. W-what is that on your head? Silky: O.. you mean the golden streak on my head? It is actually a lock of hair. Some people think it looks like a crescent. Vibrant: ... a croissant... *holds back laughter* Silky: What did you just say? Vibrant: *stifled laughter sound* [continued on years later, we have this little miscreant @Luna the Great of all the Russias drawing it like this] Silky: Luna... it is NOT a croissant! It is a golden lock of hair that looks like a CRESCENT." Luna, the polyglot who speaks several languages: "And what do you think crescent is in French?" Silky: ... ¬.¬ I quit. Now there are several croissant cults running around due to the shenanigans that keep going about.

"Hey lovely!" Is a catchphrase that truly spread like a wild fire when the community waved in bounces and high activity from my events. But where did that even come from? It is actually rather funny how it came about. See, I have met a lot of interesting people from these forums and one of the things that has always struck me is how compassionate and kind people can be. (Like, genuinely, not just cordially being kind to strangers but having that deeper layer of a connection). Now, there is this dapper gentleman whom I respect greatly (and who has a great sense of masculine fashion in his attire) who used to call me "love." It is more his gentle style of speaking as an English gentleman. I really liked that he would call me that because the context was endearing while also denoting how close we had become but still very platonic and respectful. I liked that we could get deep into discussions and explore a deeper bond while keeping things respectful and never flirty or crossing any of such boundaries. Regardless to that, I could never quite capture his style. So, while I wanted to call him "love" I feel like... from me it would be interpreted as flirty. So I adopted, instead, the term "lovely" because if I felt someone was lovely or trying to express their more lovelier aspects, then I wanted to feed more of that and let people know that they are lovely to be around -- even if they do not always feel that way. So, while you may think this is something that I had come up with all by myself -- it was literally inspired by someone whom I hold in high regard and wanted to continue his legacy -- but in my own way.

For me... it was strange. So, I do not like arrogance. I do not like people who lack integrity. I wish to slay them on the spot. However, how do I know he is simply not just someone who is not compatible with my personality? I love and cherish wholesome things -- he literally only liked villains and watching people fall. You might think "Well, is that not the best proof?!" Eh, I wish. Plenty of people are edgy or broken but are redeemable, right? I had NO idea he was capable of sheer malice. I am comforting the users to the best of my abilities but my goodness this was all so unnecessary. Also, just today, one of his targets was messaging me... "I am too tired to go to the forums. Need lots of sleep but you are saving me." Me? *sigh* To think he was trying to separate me from meeting this person... I am just generally being kind. Apparently they are so used to abuse that even basic kindness goes far and heals them. :/ Poor darlings.

No idea what that is. But do you remember that episode of Timmy's Dad where he just wants everyone to be happy but goes full crazy dictator mode? That is what I am thinking of right now. He only just... *looks at notes* O. Takes over the entire planet, is all.

Head's up! Normally, we do not encourage public talk about another user's wrongdoings since we try to be understanding - but the level of reports on this person and the level of which the rabbit hole goes with him - I am only going to speak my piece for the sake of encouraging abused or isolated victims to **please speak up** and to not hide or feel ashamed or like you do not matter to staff, as he was trying to paint it -- if I have to lead in example -- then so be it. Heck, even one of the moderators we currently have -- before he became a moderator -- was informed by that clown that joining us would be BAD! That bad things would happen to him just for being a mod here. Attempting to inflict fear and doubt in him about joining the ranks but luckily -- present moderator did not listen and stayed with us anyway to see for himself "just how bad it was." And guess not? Nothing the clown threatened was real. All lies to scare users away in isolation and give him power. So, to stay relevant to the thread topic. What am I thinking? I am thinking that it is only fair to offer more elaboration on this. Since this is a particularly sad one for me.
