I would never have:
1. Met some amazing people from across the sea -- and actually traveled to hang out and share awesome moments together!
2. Enjoyed an endless supply of music at my disposal and whim!
3. Had so many freakin laughs shared with people from all around the world!
4. Would probably have had to face the hand I was dealt in life without some incredible people giving me advice and showing a sincere concern for me where I normally just am too "grey rock" or distant with people in person since it is VERY difficult for me to ask for help and I am always seeking solutions rather than wanting to bother anyone about anything.
5. Would probably not have the depths and layers of empathy that I have now from speaking to so many different people from different walks of life!
6. Have never gotten to explore the concept of the soul or essence of an individual. I am a very formal or distant person irl because when people see you are a woman you get guys, strangers, etc, approaching you, etc.
Online... nobody could know I was a woman. So, they were kind've forced to get to know my soul, or inner being (if you are secular), my mind, etc if they wanted a friendship with me. XD
And they never knew my looks or my gender or anything superficial to give them a bias, so online has really helped me to allow my inner being to express itself without the preconceived notions of whatever it is people have when you look a certain way, are a certain race, gender, look, etc. c:
Can just be yourself and people who are not compatible with you "on the inside" will know it sooner rather than tolerate it longer because "o, she's pretty, so it is worth it."
Online, looks don't matter, so you get to know the person first and if you find you two get close enough to bond and form a strong friendship -- the face reveal is even more intense and has so much depths and layers than if you just saw them walking around randomly one day. So freakin fun! I love my memories and experiences from being online!
7. Have such a source of endless resources at the end of your fingertips!
Despite the fact that the internet does offer some negative trade offs: people read less books and have become lazier with just typing for random answers, lots of popups as sites try to make money from your increased short attention span, endless amount of distractions and free content at your whim, etc. -- I see these merely as drawbacks that anything can have. They certainly do not take away from the enriching experiences one can have. ;~;
