I can wait a bit. Let's just say that I'm taking my time assembling my crew and passengers. Okay, I guess we moved on after all! I look for a place to land (or at least anchor). My own crew is pretty small and and mind the Equus while the rest of us explore the village.
-
Ah! So our interests align! Perhaps the Kirin have migrated to Kirin Grove? I guess we need to investigate the village first.
-
No, I mean when did the Kirin disappear from Kirin village? And why?
-
I hadn't heard that. When did this happen?
-
Good idea! If I remember correctly, the leader of the Kirin is named Rain Shine; is that right?
-
Eee-yup! That's why I'm stopping at the station. Want a lift?
-
I can make a stop at the train station nearest the Kirin village and meet the travelers getting off there. Maybe they would like a ride to the peaks? Perhaps they might even want to explore Kirin Grove? I could use a team of explorers!
-
No, but I can fly the party there if asked. I am Captain Phantom H. Fetlock, a Unicorn (he/him). Grey coat, brown mane and tail with highlights. Skull & crossbones cutie mark. I wear a black cloak with red lining. My cutie mark talent is swashbuckling. Oh, and I could use a few more crew members!

I have a map that includes the lands south and east of Equestria. There is a place called Kirin Grove located south of Dragons Lair, near Lost Lagoon, and I want to ask the Kirin's about it. With the permission of Princess Celestia I have converted one of the Storm King's airships into a vessel of exploration named the Equus. I prepare to fly the Equus to Perilous Peaks and the Kirin village.

The Set Your Sail miniseries hasn't started yet; I think the first issue drops next week (on 10 April). Ponykind probably still knows about Seaponies from the historical records, though maybe pony mariners still encounter them occasionally.
-
"Shipped together" might be a little strong considering that Izzy could have just been making a pun. But they were cute together!
-
I'm not convinced that Destiny is from Seaquestria, but time may tell. I do think that there are natural Seaponies as well as the Hippogriff-Seaponies. Maybe it's normal for natural-born Seaponies to have cutie marks?
-
Okay, so Izzy meets Jade, a Seapony of the Jade Sea. I'm guessing that the Jade Sea is the destination marked on the map of the Isle of Scaly where Seaponies are shown to be located. Destiny's design was very reminiscent of the Seaponies of Seaquestria. Hopefully we will see more of the Seaponies in future episodes, maybe even Mermares and other undersea races. I'll be very interested to see where ponies go in Set Your Sail when they travel to the Sparking Seas.
