  1. I get what you're saying, that crown is meant to be a symbol of her authority, which she earned through heroic deeds and being a good ally to her kingdom. However if a tiara can be used for fashion, why not a crown?
  2. I saw an MLP fan claim magic should be reserved for the military in MLP fiction. But I disagree with that, for a variety of reasons, I will get into that in more detail in Twilight Soapbox section of the forum as it does involve politics. But it is foolish to assume that would guarantee safety of civilians, what if their military depletes their resources? you're going to leave a population unguarded with nothing to defend themselves with?

  3. That assumes they were destroyed, they could have been Copies of Pinkie Pie that were merged back into Pinkie Pie's being after a spell gone wrong was corrected. They were already supposed to be part of Pinkie Pie herself, so having multiple different versions of her split out was an unnatural phenomenon to start with, from some kind of magic water she found. Pinkie Pie was not supposed to be there. Magic is certainly capable of offing someone in MLP FIM though, like what Starlight Glimmer did to Discord in season 8 episode A Matter of Principles. Discord got turned into a ghost, meaning Starlight Glimmer's magic somehow nullified both Discord's immortality and killed him. Starlight Glimmer has got quite a temper, but to be fair, Discord did make her fearful for the safety of the school students with his antics, Discord still kind of acts like a jerk sometimes, even after his reform.

  5. Like with some other fandoms, I doubt I would ever stop liking My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. It promotes that spirit of unity I find so endearing, images like that are the reason. With some other shows, yeah, they can become stale or disengaging after a while, especially if their plot hasn't aged well, Pokemon being one of the examples of overrated fictions like that in my opinion because they basically force animals to fight for entertainment which is not kind, but MLP FIM is different, Mane Six learn to help each other through their problems and not be too judgmental about each other along the way, whether it's Rainbow Dash learning to accept Fluttershy's shyness and love her for who she is as a friend, not what she wants her to be in Dragonshy, in the first episode Twilight Sparkle learning the value of friendship and that there are some things she cannot do on her own, for Rarity to put others needs before her own wants like in Sisterhooves Social episode. Pegasisters, Bronies or a non binary equivalent, unite. To see how much it has affected the community, where they value empathy enough to treat you well and be so polite to you, not bully you or harass you for having a different opinion, and calmly discuss each other's disagreements like civilized people, that's so beautiful. Yeah I know I made a fan fiction where I imagined myself being reborn in alternate timeline Equestria as a Pegasi to find a peaceful existence with Ponies there, and to be nurtured to be kind like them, and nobody insulted me for this, just as I would not judge them for a similar fantasy which some fans I have spoken to, do, especially if they wanted to be in that fantasy world for the same reason, to be a good friend and not take advantage of others. Doesn't matter, my point is this, Empathy is not a weakness, and it should never be treated as if it is one.

  7. Vented some emotion on Twilight Soapbox, giving my input on a topic I felt was thought provoking. I don't know why some people are so sure about the supposed high intelligence of humans when we cannot even prevent war, worse, people who are supposed to be protecting us actively increase tensions with other countries. Sorry but I don't have that level of optimism in humans anymore. In a way it's a good thing fictional villains like Queen Chrysalis don't exist, because if she had done, she would be able to take advantage of the gullibility of people very easily.
  8. Before anyone asks, yes, I don't believe humans are as intelligent as we claim to be. If you paid attention to the state of our world and how corrupt it is, you'd realize high intelligence and empathy is not all that common.

  9. You give humans way too much credit, honestly.

Humans cannot even prevent the wars we already have, that's not really a good measure of competency.

  10. That is one reason why I believe Queen Chrysalis to be much more dangerous than some people may give her credit for. Her ruthlessness is nerfed by plot armour of the show, but put that fictional character into a real life scenario and that changes, drastically, it's not just her magic people would need to worry about in that fantasy world scenario, it's her manipulative behaviour, which in my opinion could lead to disaster for our world if she was underestimated. I will save the political stuff for Twilight Soapbox section of the forum. But it should be noted that there is very good reason to believe, had Chrysalis been real and entered our timeline, she would have made conflict 10 times worse, all she has to do, is impersonate somebody else and then manipulate one of our incompetent leaders to start a war with another nation. I don't have much faith in humans tbh.
  11. Queen Chrysalis in MLP fiction has many abilities at her disposal from energy based attacks, to shapeshifting, and even draining others of their energy. If she had been more strategic in her attack she could have taken over Equestria easily. Her going easy on Twilight Sparkle and numerous other reasons are the why Chrysalis ended up losing in A Canterlot Wedding. Changelings would not be easy to identify if they took the form of another without others knowledge though, for the same reason Princess Celestia was initially unaware of the ruse when Chrysalis impersonated Cadance. They may not copy powers and abilities of others they shapeshift into, but they copy their physical form 1 to 1, giving them sufficient cover for a stealth operation which should not be underestimated. While real life military would be superior in numbers and technological advancement, the problem here is humans are also reckless, and they start wars for stupid reasons, like one country wanting to annex another. And people support divisive individuals who tear up international relations. So we're not the best at everything, far from it. And ego is our greatest weakness and is causing most of the problems we are seeing in the world right now.

  13. I could say Windows 11 would be one of the things people would not get why its so popular, however, one thing to consider here, is we don't have a choice. It's either that or not have updates for the operating system. If we moved over to Linux distros, they have their benefits, but incompatibility with software makes it an unattractive option for many people. I do think there are things in Windows 11 that could be improved upon though, such as memory efficiency, and a more customizable UI.
  14. in My Little Pony Friendship is Magic I tolerate Princess Celestia's philosophy on redemption because there's a hint of wisdom in her belief, in not promoting a culture of violence you at least give the message that it should not be your first option when you dislike somebody, diplomacy has a proven positive affect on society, which can keep crime rate down. But Goku's reasoning for sparing villains in Dragonball are cringe, he lets them live so he can have a punching bag later on. And by letting Frieza live, he proved how useless he is.

  15. In DCAU Superman was willing to kill to end a threat, as he tried to do to Darkseid, twice. There are limits to his patience when it comes to threats and he wasn't having any of it. You don't let a villain live just so you can have a sparring partner, which to me, is a much worse reason for letting a villain like that live than attempting to rehabilitate them, it's selfish.

  16. I agree with people who say Dragonball is overrated. It's a story of inept heroes who let Frieza live despite Frieza showing no intention on reform or redemption. Part of the reason why I don't find it as interesting as some other shows anymore. It has nothing to do with me not liking shows with fight scenes. However I prefer shows like Justice League DCAU when it comes to things like that, since for one, heroes are more competent. Even My Little Pony Friendship is Magic to me is more interesting than Dragonball.

  17. Not only that but Dragonball depicts the fights in a totally unrealistic way, even within the context of fiction it is absurd. Do people really expect villains to cooperate and fly with the hero out of a city in order to avoid hurting civilians? sorry, not how that works. I prefer DC's darker depiction of fictional superpowered fights like the Doomsday movie, where Superman takes a brutal beating in order to save the populace from Doomsday, at the cost of his own life. And while there was collateral damage, that is a more realistic expectation of what would happen if two beings with superpowers went at it in a showdown in a fight for justice. Even in Hasbro's My Little Pony Friendship is Magic when Twilight Sparkle had a DBZ style fight with Tirek in Twilight's Kingdom episode in season 4, the fight started right away, no wasting time with screaming to build up energy or whatever, no WWE style trash talk, they threw down the gauntlet until the fight came to a draw before that deal was made. People complained about that fight still, yeah, but that fight only lasted 2 minutes out of the whole episode. To me, it isn't something worth complaining about and it certainly did not take away from the main point of the show, as it is conceivable that some villains will be impossible to reason with no matter how much of a diplomat you were. Tirek only made that deal with Twilight in a moment of cowardice when he wasn't willing to drag out the fight any longer, and that worked in Twilight's favour, she outsmarted him. The fight could have dragged out a lot longer like a filler episode, but it did not, so it never annoyed me. Edit: I'm not saying Dragonball is awful, if I thought it was, I would not still have my Dragonball Kai bluray sets, however it is overrated. And a lot of the decisions the heroes make in the show were questionable and when I say questionable, I'm being charitable here, Vegeta hypocritically accuses Goku of being unintelligent, when Vegeta's blunders caused both Perfect Cell and Majin Buu to reach their full power. Vegeta never learned from his mistakes either.

  20. There's so many fan theories that could come about from that scene of the Simpsons, like Homer Simpson pretending to be an inept slob, but in actuality he does those things to deliberately annoy people while he lives a double life of a mobster criminal.
  21. Push it to the Limit, a soundtrack from the movie Scarface if I remember correctly.
  22. I'm going to take my medication in a few minutes. I don't want to be kept up all night, some video brought my stress levels up again though. Romano Report talks a lot of facts however the deplorable people he brings to everyone's attention make us uncomfortable.
  23. I don't know if that was the specific villain you had a nightmare about I just recognized him as the only purple villain from Power Rangers I remember. I could see how he would frighten some people though. There are a lot of fictional villains that would terrify me in a nightmare, since I am not a lucid dreamer, I have to wake up before I realize what just happened. Darkness from the 1985 movie Legend would scare me in a bad dream, who his minions refer to as "Big D". If you asked me which MLP villain would terrify me in a nightmare, it would definitely be Queen Chrysalis.
