    *Iridescent had noticed how @Shiny Silvermoon’s bat had ran off, and after a moment of hesitation, he walked up to her.* “Uh, excuse me, but…was that your pet that just ran away?” *Iridescent points his hoof in the direction that Socrate disappeared into.*

    “He’s phoning while drive.”

    *Iridescent Edge suddenly comes to a stop when he sees the rushing river. He cautiously puts one hoof in and nearly slips on the wet rock. He looks up again and sees two Alicorns trying to block the current with their wings while the other contestants push through the current. Iridescent steps another hoof in, careful not to slip on any rocks this time. He takes another step, then another, hooves shaking with each one. Until, he eventually climbs his way to the other side. Unfortunately, Iridescent’s back hoof slips on a rock and his face falls in the mud. He then gets up and takes a moment to catch his breath before running to the next tree.*

    *Iridescent Edge had just finished bucking another tree when he saw another contestant reveal themselves to be an Alicorn. How many Alicorns were racing now? And was that romantic tension between two contestants? This would have been really awkward if Iridescent hadn't been focused on running from tree to tree and bucking them. He knew he was falling a little behind, but he was more focused on making the leaves fall—Y'know, the original purpose of the Running of the Leaves. The mud was probably muffling the vibrations of everypony's hoofsteps, anyway. But they still looked like they were having fun, so good for them.*

    Those proportions could use some improvement. And I'm pretty sure underbellies generally have a darker shading, rather than a lighter one.

    Hi, Dusk Haven. So, your welcome post mentioned that you had a daughter. And I’m just curious, since you’re the first person I’ve seen here to mention that they’re a parent. I was just wondering if I was allowed to inquire about that.

    *Iridescent Edge conjured a small shield over his head as a makeshift umbrella. But what to do about the mud? He didn’t have much time to think about that as the instructor then signaled for the race to start. Iridescent took another look at the track, and then looked at the prices of the galoshes on the stand… Thinking quickly, Iridescent decided to just stick it out through the mud. Sure, it was a little slippery, but it was also squishy. It’s not like the road was made of ice. He trudged his way to the first tree and gave it a few firm bucks. He watched a few leaves fall from the tree and trudged to the next one, rinse and repeat.*
