  1. Well, you should be glad about it in a way. Being a closet brony in JR. high sucks. (As I'm in that situation) From what people said, coming out of the stable, (Or in your case, some other method) feels great. I probably should do the same, as my two best friends, both hardcore pegasisters, wear MLP clothing in class and has many merch...
  2. Alright. For my review of Mega Man 3 I'll try going into far more depth than I did here. Thanks for the feedback.
  3. I once beat it without getting hit nor missing. How did you like the review? Was it decent?
  4. This is my first review of any game. So it may not be of any quality. So please, bear with me. Anyways, this is my review of the original Mega Man on the timeless NES. Now, the game wasn't a runaway success like its two sequels, Mega Man 2 & 3, however, it was fairly successful, just barely enough to warrant a sequel. It was originally released in 1987 in the U.S. Anyways, enough about the history of this magnificent game. On to the review. Well, what can I say? It's a great game but not the best in the series. While there are great aspects about it, there are also flaws. There were multiple aspects of the game that either made it or didn't make it into the sequels. A few aspects that were only in the original game that didn't make into the sequels are a scare system (That does nothing), items re spawn when you leave the screen and you can pause the game by hitting select. Some of the aspects that weren't in this game made it into Mega Man 2 and onwards. Such elements are Energy Tanks , Passwords, and 8 robot masters as this game has 6. That means you have to beat the game in one go. This may not be hard for Mega Man pros such as myself, however, this game is amongst the most difficult of the series. Up there with Mega Man 9, Mega Man X6 and Mega Man and Bass. That doesn't mean it's unbeatable though. It simply means Mega Man noobs shouldn't play it. The game has decent controls, now, the series has been renounced for its tight controls. But the first two games controls aren't as good as 3 and onward. Mega Man does slide quite a bit when you stop pressing the left or right D-Pad. Nothing too bad, but enough to throw off noobs. But, it shines through most NES games at the time. Control:3/5 I know graphics doesn't make a game any better or worse. However, looking at them now, they don't look too spectacular, however, at the time, they were pretty decent, not the best looking game, but far from the worst. Most of the backgrounds are simply plain backdrops. Usually a light blue. Mega Man on the other hand, looks amazing for the NES with a whopping 5 different colors. That is a lot for early NES and NES in general. The boss and enemy sprites look pretty good for its time too. Graphics: 3-3.5/5 The animation for any video game is even less important than its graphics. Mega Man has 3 frames of animation. That takes it above and beyond most games at its time. Animation: 4.5-5/5 The music in the game, though not as memorable as Mega Man 2 or 3, is still okay. Cut man's theme is probably my favorite. Music: 3/5 Now, Mega Man isn't known for its plot (Teehee. Plot) Anyways, the plot is not mentioned in the game at all. That doesn't matter as it doesn't effect gameplay. The story is as follows. There are two scientists in this age of robots. Their names are Dr.Light and Dr.Wily. They made 8 robots. Rock, Roll, Bomb man, Cut man, Guts man, Elec man, Fire man and Ice man. Dr.Wily gets mad at his colleague Dr.Light because he gets all the attention while no one acknowledges Dr.Wily. So naturally he gets angry and reprograms the latter 6 robots I mentioned. Then Rock, having a strong sense of justice, volunteers to be turned into a super fighting robot. Then Mega Man was born. Plot:3.5/5 Over all, a great NES game that everyone should have in their collection. While it's not the best in the series. (In fact, it's my second least favorite. Only above MM4.) But still, it's an excellent game. I highly recommend you get this game. Well. That's my first ever game review. I hope you enjoyed reading it. Please remember, it's my opinion and you don't have to agree with me. Also, can you guys tell me where I need improvement. I won't take offense. In fact, I encourage you share your criticism with me so I can improve the quality of my reviews. Up next is my review of Mega Man 3, as I don't have Mega Man 2. I know, it's blasphemous but whatever. Until Next time, goodbye.
  5. Basically, the title says it all. Would you guys read reviews if I made them? They're mostly gonna be retro games. Occasionally I will write reviews about modern games. Here's a list of some of the game I'll review Mega Man series. (Or the ones I have) Goldeneye(N64) Time Splitters 1&2 Zelda: Majora's Mask. Zelda: OoT So, I may write reviews for games on here. Also, should they be blog posts or regular threads?
  6. Wow. 101 brohoofs. I feel special.

  7. Yes, Snips and Snails are far more "disabled" than Derpy. Derpy, I don't feel is disabled at all. In fact, the reason her eyes are like that is due to an animation error in one of the first episodes. Also, each pony has a distinct personality, maybe hers is just simply being clumsy.
  8. My best guess as to why the soccer moms feel this way is because they believe her to be a portrayal to be of those that are mentally handicapped, as crossed eyes and overall clumsiness are stereotypical thingies of those that are mentally handicapped. I don't know why it rustles their jimmies though. There are MANY other cartoon characters that act even worse and no one gives a damn about them. Patrick Star is a perfect example.
  9. GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME. I'd love to have a Tamama one. But a Giroro or Kululu one would be the best.
  10. That bit at the end made it quite blunt. *Sigh* Stupid toad.
  11. CONFESSIONS BEAR TIME! I actually like wii sports and wii sports resort.
  12. I'm gonna sue the lego company. I stepped on a lego and went to the emergency room.
