"Whoa whoa whoa, hold on a second!" Lory called out, stopping on her tracks. "You mean to tell me we're criminals now? Is that what this is?" She chuckles in a dismissive manner, while shaking her head. "Listen here, Doctor Weird: I never asked for this. All I wanted was a damn glass of apple cider, and now all of a sudden I'm supposed to help you hide away some sort of ancient demonic artifact from the Royals!? Pleeeeeease." The mare grunted. "Just who the hell are you?" She asked, just then managing to take a better look at the subject that stood before her. He wasn't a pony - in fact, something very far from a pony. Lory was confused. She had many questions she wanted to ask.
-
Lory nearly choked on the water she was drinking when the guards drew their weapons on the group. She was slightly startled at the sudden reaction to what seemed to be a simple necklace. In dismay, she refused to follow their orders, instead taking a step forward. Before she could do anything about it, however, the others took action. Suddenly, she found herself escaping from the scene right under the militia's snouts. "Have I told you that you guys are absolute freaks yet?" She whispered.

Worship Mesme Rize, the feathered serpent (pegasus promotion celebration)
Driz replied to Mesme Rize's topic in Forum Lounge
I'm betting he was referring to the Quetzawhatshisface who is a God in the Aztec mythology (and who just so happens to be a winged snek as well). So worship Mesme like you'd worship that God.- 10 replies

"Uh-huh..." Lory answered, absentmindedly, while already inspecting the projector. She had seen one similar to that back inside the house, but back then, they were too busy fleeing for a murderous family man to properly explore around the place. From her intuitions, that light cannon really didn't feel like it belonged there. It felt somehow out of place. Either way, if it did function like the last one they say, they would require something specific to crack the code. "Hmm..." She continued to stare blankly at the device. Needless to say, that wasn't going to solve their problem. Just then, Lory went over to the front of the projector, casting her own shadow against the wall. "...Hey Ray-Ray." She called out. "Check this out." The mare crouched down, ducking below the beam of light. She lifted her left hand up, positioned her fingers just right and...

"Pfft!" Lory scoffed. "Sweetheart, please... Everypony knows that alcohol can heal any kind of injury." She then popped the bottle of water open and began drinking it. In a single gulp, she'd reached about halfway through the container, sighing in relief and taking a breath. "Besides, I'm just fine. No brain injuries here!... Although I can't say the same about the others over there, if you know what I mean..." She tilted her head towards the rest of the group, then waving a hoof at the medic. "Thank you for your services, either way!" She winked, and turned around. Lory happily trotted over back to the group. "Yo guys, what's up." She glared at the guard. "...What's with Mr. Brawn over here?" She inquired, taking another sip from her water.
-
I could say "No"... ... ... ... ... ... ...But if I did, I would be a round-fat liar.

As Raze began to read the paper, Lory's ears perked up. She walked closer to him, standing next to his shoulder, from where she could take a look at the sketch as well. Once her eyes met with the contents of that document, she suddenly filled up with sheer glee. On a sudden change of mood, she snatched the paper away from Raze's hands, reading it for herself. "A goddamn flamethrower? Are you seeeeeeerious!?" She asked in disbelief. "Celestia above, just imagine us burning those little suckers down with a flamethrower! How absolutely insane is that!?" Just like that, Lory was hyped again. "Come on, Ray-Ray, let's look for the parts!"
-
She clicked her tongue. "Oh, come on, now you're making me sound like the bad guy here!" Lory attempted to propose a defense for her case. "I didn't know about that ex-or-ism thing! I just thought those crazy dudes just... straight up freaked out and became zombies or something. It was either me or them, I just did it in self defense!" The way she spoke, made it sound like she'd had her fair share of demon encounters prior to that. All of which she emerged victorious, by using the strategy she'd stated earlier. She was uninformed, was all. Once the guard approached and inquired about the situation, Lory simply stood back and let the others answer. She trotted over towards one of the medical ponies. "Hi, yeah, have you got any uhh... water? Like a bottle of water or something?... Or alcohol? You have alcohol?"
-
Lory tilted her head and perked up her ears. "Exorwhat now?..." She asked, legitimately confused. "...I thought you just needed to beat the crap outta them 'til they stopped moving!" The mare said. Truly so, she was unaware that such ability existed.
-
Lory came to her senses after a while. When the explosion took place, she had momentarily lost consciousness. She woke up to find herself trapped among a few pieces of rubble and the remains of what used to be the inn. In a desperate push, she emerged from the wreckage, completely covered in dust and small scratches and wounds. Luckily enough, she wasn't hurt by the explosion as much as some other unfortunate souls. She looked around her to witness just how big the destruction had been. With a grunt of annoyance, she lifted herself up, shook some of the dust off and walked over near the group of ponies that were with her during the fight. "You freaks owe me an apple cider..." Lory told the bunch. Soon enough, she took notice of the commotion that gathered around them, as onlookers jumped into action to douse the flames. "By the way... just what the hell was that chanting all about?" She asked them group of exorcists.
-
"Ah, crap..." She muttered as her eyes accompanied the furniture taking flight across the inn's airspace. In horror, she watched as tables and chairs alike were thrown around the area. It didn't take too long until one specific table was flung dead-straight towards her direction. Lory's pupils shrunk in size and her ears drooped down. In an instant act of reflex, she threw her body to the side, jumping out of the way just milliseconds before the table crashed against the ground. Rapidly getting back up, she began running, paying attention to the levitating objects while trying her hardest to avoid their trajectories. "I haven't the slightest clue why y'all are reciting poems right now..." She said, progressively moving closer to the demon. "But if it's a distraction you need... I sure as hell can PROVIDE IT!!" As she exclaimed that, the reckless mare took a leap towards where the cook was standing. She reeled her lead pipe backwards and aimed a swing at him, praying it would connect.
-
Lory hit the hard, solid ground with an oof. Scratching her head in pain, soon enough, she managed to find her bearings again, just to take a gander at the damage that was done to the location. Barely moving an inch, it seemed as if the demon has manage to nearly take down the building with a single blow. Chairs and tables had been scattered everywhere and the ceiling above looked as if it could crumble down at any second. It was like the aftermath of a bar fight like the rebel mare had never seen before. "Ughh..." She slowly got back up on her hooves, levitating the pipe back towards her. She soon found the others had already taken appropriate measures, by attempting to trap the enemy in ice. Needless to say, it was a scene she hadn't witnessed before. With that in mind, Lory decided to step back and wait for a while. Perhaps that scuffle would be done before she was required to lift a single hoof about it. "Verses!?" She shouted out. "What in the world are you talking about, dude!? Just beat that thing up!"
-
@GoldieS After the audible fracas took place in the kitchen, Lory's attention sparked back to life. As the earth pony began serving her, she simply stared back at him. Her mouth was slightly opened and her brow furrowed, forming a perplexed expression. Once her drink was done, it was left atop the counter, resting abandoned. Lory didn't mind it at all: not anymore. It seemed like she had bigger problems to worry about rather than simply satiating her thirst. In a similar fashion to the cook, she couldn't take her eyes off of him. The two found themselves in a deadly staring contest. "Riiiiiiiight..." She murmured, slowly and calmly rising up from her seat. Her horn began glowing in a wine-colored aura - likewise, the piece of lead pipe resting on her back was enveloped the same, as it sprung to life and levitated next to Lory. All while carefully and slowly backing away. "So much for wanting some peace and quiet..." Lory sighed. She took a defensive stance while wielding her weapon, awaiting any abrupt movement the entity could make. She also took notice of the other costumers that gathered around the possessed pony, sending them a quick glance. "Y'all with me?" She asked them.

Uhmm... Three days and two nights, if I recall correctly. Not even that impressive... And that was a loooooong time ago when I was young enough to be able to pull all-nighters like that... Nowadays my old-butt can barely make it past 3 AM without turning all systems off. === ... A-Are... Umm... Are you looking at me?...

JAILED FOR LETTING SOMEONE OUT!! What are you doing, private!?

The doors leading inside the inn swung open in an abrupt motion. As an immediate follow-up, a pink unicorn mare suddenly flew towards the location's interior, promptly closing shut the doors behind her. She proceeded to lean her back against them until she felt safe and sound again: she was breathing rapidly and her eyes were shot wide. Her eyes danced around, inspecting every inch and corner of the room she found herself in: the main bar area of an inn, with a few ponies already occupying the nearby tables. Sighing in relief, after a couple of seconds, her expression began dissolving in what seemed to be sheer relief. She slid her back down across the door until her flank hit the wooden planks on the ground and drooped her head forward. Not too long after that, she began laughing joyfully. "Ohohohoh, DUDE!! Just what in the world is going on in this town-- It's, like, you can't see your hoof in front of your own face! Like you're going blind or something... Phew... Thought that was about the end of little old me just there." Lory Vox chuckled heartedly, speaking to nopony in particular. Her rugged garbs and stained, unclean appearance suggested she'd been travelling for quite some time. Strapped to the saddlebag on her back, rested a rudimentary-looking steel pipe. Despite those aspects, the smile plastered on her face was genuinely merry. Lory shook off some of the dust on her coat and stepped forward into the inn. Not paying much mind to the others, she directed herself towards the bar counter. "Hey there!" She placed a hoof onto the counter and waved the other around in an attempt to call the attention of whoever was in charge. "Shoot me a good, cracking-cold apple cider, friend." She requested, taking a seat.

@Biohazarddallas HmmmmmmMMMMMMM fine... I've been staring at these threads from the shadows for too long... Guess I'll join. I might as well have the thick-skinned Lory partake in this. Not sure how she would fit fighting against otherworldly demons, but I figured she'd be the most reckless to do so out of my other OC's. By the way, just out of curiosity... Will you be co-DM'ing this RP with @GoldieS ? -
