  1. Well I'm basically out of alternatives I think to fix my computer, i guess I have to do a system restore again >_>. Unless anyone else knows a fix I'm missing.

      Hmm... Not sure then. Have you tried booting from a disc?

      Well I booted from a disk like twice but then had to upgrade os from vista an now I don't have any boot disks basically, the vista ones caused more trouble then they where worth.

       

      I just finished fixing the computer from having issues, so maybe those are still persisting idk. It could also be that it's like a 5 year old computer and just kinda dieing to I guess. Regardless thanks for the help.

      It should last longer than 5 years, unless it was really crappy when you got it.

      I was going to suggest booting from a Linux disc (Ubuntu is pretty good and easy to use), transferring important stuff to an external HDD, and then formatting it. But if you don't have the disc for the OS you want, that would be a problem.
