1) Way back in 1996 with dial up using CompuServe. I was 12 back in those days. However, I didn't start using the Internet heavily until I was about 15. Man, I was just starting out with Red Alert around then.
2) Not particularly. I didn't really know much about it until I had it at home. I'd say I got it at the right time since it had only been available for a couple years when I got it anyway...
3) Not really. I spend most of my time on the Internet, but that's what happens when you're broke. However, when I have things to do, I do them... usually.
4) Again, not a whole lot really. A couple of things on 4chan's /b/ back in the day when it was awesome. Short of that, nothing really has any effect anymore.
5) Censorship is bogus. It needs to die.
6) Yeah, but not to any of you. Most of it was silly stuff on IRC, which, as the Bash quote says, is just multiplayer notepad.
