A new age has dawned for Equestria. After years misery and division, the sisters Celestia and Luna have defeated the tyrant Discord and brought an end to the reign of chaos.

But peace is not yet restored.  During the years of anarchy cities and villages have been isolated, fields and orchards reclaimed by the wilderness,  petty warlords and tyrants have carved out their domains and entire swathes of land warped and changed by Discord’s Magic.

And so a crusade of soldiers, craftponies and artisans marches out from the heartland to reclaim Equestria once again.

 

So yeah, I’ve been meaning to run a “historical” RP for a while now.

Basically it’s gonna be one big sandbox, involving everything it takes to stitch a torn country back togerther: Wanna play an architect building Canterlot? You can do that. Wanna be cartographer? Sure. Wanna fight to liberate ponies from their Diamond Dog oppressors? Sure thing. Wanna be an artist immortalizing the crusade? Come right in.

Name: Hope

 

Gender: Male

 

Species: Pony-Unicorn

 

Background: Hope was born into a noble family that was part of the canterlot elite, as such he was given the best up bringing anyone could ask for, he became a warrior, and hoped to one day become a knight.

 

During the reign of discord, hope had been sent by Celestia and luna to recover a weapon that could destroy discord, and bring back the peace, they were the elements of harmony.

 

Hope found the elements and returned them to celestia and luna, he then accompanied them to their final battle with discord, as a reward for his efforts he was given the title of, The Knight of the Sun and the Moon.

 

What you plan to do: travel from town to town, hunting legendary monsters, and maybe leading a major force to reclaim a city.

Sure, I am willing.

 

Such a rank upgrade would be interesting to roleplay, though this would most likely reinforce him being serious, unforgiving, and stubborn as per being Captain of the Solar Guard. Probably will need to be reminded to relax and 'be nice' by Princess Celestia and others.

 

Which is amusing, since I play Princess Celestia in the Equestrian Empires section of roleplay.

So... hello! I am interested in this roleplay, but I am unsure about joining because, first off, I feel like one of the lowest-experienced members in terms of roleplaying here, and, secondly, I am unsure about the character that I am going to use... primarily, the fact taht I don't have a picture for him. :/

Name: Darkblade Steel

Background: Born into a smithing family right at the beginning off Discord's reign, he soon became accustomed to the chaotic world that he lived in, following along the lives with everyone else, as well as attempting to keep a solid footing in the now unpredictable world. He would assist his father in his tasks- some for the family next door, some for the resistance workers, and- on occasion- a commission from one of Discord's lackeys. This was his average day until the day he turned twelve.

 

He managed to find and salvage the metal from one of the rare meteors that fell from the sky, the metal within strong and imbued with the energies of the entropic atmosphere. After a few days of effort, while his father was running his deliveries, he managed to sneak inside the forge and use the metal to forge the first thing that came to mind- a sword, shining with the energies of Chaos. It was quite the shock to his father when he found that his son sharpening a blade that the colt had forged, his new cutie mark shining on his flank.

 

Ten years later, with the fall of Discord, Darkblade Steel found himself trekking to Canterlot to set up a blacksmith's shop. On the way, he was waylaid by some bandits and, after defending himself, was taken aside by what appeared to be a recruiter for soldiers into the Royal Guard. One thing lead to another, and, eventually, he was accepted as a Company Blacksmith, a pony who played the role of weapons master and welder. He would spend the next few years shuttled around active companies, slowly building up a small reputation, but watching the land and especially the skies around him, ever eager to find more of the ore that he had named starmetal. He believes that this metal, when he has obtained enough of it, will be able to forge armor and arms that will be worthy of captains and generals.

 

Plans: Travel with the armies that are slowly patching Equestria back together while using this time abroad to try and find more of the star ore to forge into armor and swords.

Putting the last touches on the map. I'll probably put start the RP on Sunday.

The knight part is fine, but him being the one to find the Elements and being preset at the battle with Discord....

Maybe change it to him recovering a book written by Starswirl, that helped the Sisters in some way, just don*t go overboard.

Would it be alright if Time Scribe is actually part of the University? I usually see him as the Head of the Canterlot Daily, which is like the newspaper for Equestria, so possibly could he be going about the kingdom and such getting content for the first ever issues of the Canterlot daily? And is somehow supported by the Uni?
