In "South Park: The Stick of Truth", you see something really "interesting" involving a horse.

Did a pony bite off Scott Tenorman's weiner?

Team Fortress 2 began development as Valve's Team Fortress after the release of Team Fortress Classic in 1999, before being renamed Team Fortress 2: Brotherhood of Arms and given a realistic military theme, before an unannounced Team Fortress: Invasion was found in the Half-Life 2 leak in 2003 that featured humans fighting against aliens, based on models and names found in the source code. The game ended up being released in 2007 with a heavily stylized visual style inspired by the artwork of J. C. Leyendecker, Dean Cornwell and Norman Rockwell and with no subtitle, instead just being "Team Fortress 2."

Further, the game's nine distinct classes are based on what American citizens thought each nationality was like in the 1960s, hence the somewhat stereotypical personalities in some of them (such as the Medic being that crazy German doctor, the Demoman being an alcoholic Scotsman, the Scout being a loudmouthed, highly athletic baseball-loving Bostonian and the Engineer being the good boy from Texas.)

Well, no. That's not really what I was talking about. The horse thing is an easter egg you see when you open a door to a certain house.

Oh that is making fun of that one thing not Brony's, I know that because of a Live Stream where FAQ's were answered.

The famous "Missingno" glitch in pokemon red and blue happened because of memory constraints. The characters from your character's name are temporarily stored in the memory region where wild pokemon appear and it doesn't get cleared after the old man's battle. It would probably take about 10 lines of assembly if there wasn't a function written to clear that memory region, but the oversight of Cinnabar's coast is understandable.

The Playstation and SNES were going to be fully cross-compatible, but Nintendo terminated the agreement after some licensing issues. They then had an agreement formed with Philips and enter the development of the CD-i (along with the horrible Zelda games.)

World of Warcraft has refrences to many things, but I have yet to find any FiM refrences.

There is a canyon in Skyrim that if you manage to cross safely, you will skip about 1/3 of the storyline. It was added secretly by programmers so that they would win in the developer art team vs programming team speedrun race.

The original Game Boy line (Game Boy - Color) lasted from the NES to the GameCube, with the first model launching in 1989 and developer support lasting up until 2001 for the original Game Boy and 2002 for the Game Boy Color.

Both the Famicom and Super Famicom were discontinued in Japan in the same year, 2003. Remember that the Famicom launched in 1983 and the Super Famicom in 1990.

I could be "that guy" and just link to a bunch of Did You Know Gaming pictures but what's the fun in that?

Dr. Eggman is actually the original name for Sonic the Hedgehog's nemesis in Japan. They changed his name to Robotnik so it wouldn't sound so goofy to the American audience. Later on, Yuji Naka made a sort of retcon by saying that Robotnik is his real name while Eggman is his nickname ala Miles "Tails" Prower.

Zero was intended to be the main character for Megaman X when the idea for the game was originally concieved but the guys at Capcom thought he was too different from the original Megaman so they made Zero his own character and then made X to be the main character

Edea from Final Fantasy VIII was originally intended for FFVII, and was heavily influenced by Amano's style

Call of Duty 2 was originally intended to go into the Modern Warfare, but Activision didn't think the series was ready for such a change, so they pushed Infinity Ward to make it another WWII game

Halo 3s opening levels were actually supposed to be the closing to halo 2s, but due to time constraints, bungie had to cut out a lot of the game.

The BR in Halo 2 was supposed to be semi automatic, but some developers thought that gamers would not like a non fully auto space gun in Halo. After some deliberation, they made it burst.

In the novel "The fall of Reach" has red team on the planet reach, but the game completely retcons the novel.

Halo was at first, a space RTS like Myth, but then was turned into a 3rd person shooter on the Mac. It had a team of spartans in the game, and spartans were to be a lot more prevalent than just the big MC. Bungie was then bought out by Microsoft, and the game was a 3rd person shooter involving the MC, but microsoft wanted a fps so Bungie fixed the camera to a point in the MC's head. This is why in the first halo game, you cannot see your legs while looking down, but can see them in reflections.

The song "the siege of Madrigal" is a Easter egg in every halo game made by Bungie.

Some games like Halo:Reach even have remixes of the song in them.

In Pokémon Rangers Guardian Signs, you can ride Latias or Latios depending on if you're a guy or a girl.

No wonder Zero's so much more of a badass than X. The Megaman Zero games are my favorite Megaman subseries.

During production, it was being debated on whether or not Lara Croft of Tomb Raider should've been from Spain and named Lara Cruz.  I remember reading this on a fan forum about 8 years ago, but I don't remember which one.

If you hack into the game data in the Golden Sun: The Lost Age, you will discover the game contains unused sprites of Link from The Legend of Zelda.

If you go into the trophy room in Super Smash Bros Melee and look at the Princess Daisy trophy, then use the camera to zoom in on the very back of her head, you will discover that her trophy has 3 eyes.

In Pokemon Yellow, you can play a surfing minigame if you trade a Pikachu that knows Surf over from Stadium. For us poor kids, you can get the same effect by using the glitch Pokemon Q to fuse Pikachu and any Pokemon that knows Surf.

When asked about losing the Crash Bandicoot franchise to Sierra and Universal Studios, co-president of Naughty Dog Evan Wells said "It's a little bit like watching your daughter become a porn star"

These are the only ones I know off the top of my head  :)

I always thought it was cool that Super Sonic was originally supposed to be playable in Sonic Adventure outside of his story. It's a shame it never happened though. ^^"
