Ok so television isn't exactly great nowadays.... Not bad, but not great..... Some shows just piss me off...

10: Spongebob Squarepants

 

Don't get me wrong, I used to adore this show..... Until after season 2. After that point it went from playful, innocent, and entertaining, to Stupid, insulting, and verrrry repetitive.... Nowadays it's seems its just on life support, barely being kept alive with half baked plots, and little to no further character development..... Not to mention the placement of the flower pattern on Patricks shorts.... Im 100 percent sure that was on purpose.

 

9: Uncle Grandpa

 

..... I hate it. It has not right to exist...... Its not funny, it's not entertaining, and quite frankly it's creepily disturbing..... Yeah how else do you think he is everyone's uncle AND grandpa?

 

8: Fairly Oddparents

 

Sigh..... Another Nickelodeon Classic thats on life support...... Its predictable, it's morals repeat itself over and over and over and over again, and Timmy neveeer learns his lesson.... It's getting real old, reaaaal fast....

 

7: The PowerPuffGirls reboot.

 

Ok so you know how the original PPG was totally kick ass?.... Take that, change it to crappy pologony CGI, try to hard to represent the main characters, and have a plot line so old that even jesus could tell you what happens next...... Need I say more?

 

6: Loiter Squad

 

This ones from adult swim, and is it ever the odd case.... I can't make heads or tales of it honestly.... What I gather is its a highly racist portrayal of African Americans in the hood..... SCUM SHOW!!!

 

5: Tim and Eric: Awesome Show great job

 

Yay another live action show from adult swim,... Riveting. It's disgusting. Most of the jokes either make no sence, or are totally out of place, and there is exactly zero effort put into it.

 

4:' Total Drama

 

Ok the first season was gold.... Very nice indeed..... They should have never made more seasons. Cause it's the same stuff over and over again, but this time the characters arent interesting, certain characters completely change between seasons, and more plot holes than the largest cattle farm in Texas,...

 

3: Code Lyoko Evolution

 

I love code lyoko... I still watch it on netflix from time to time.... It was just amazing........ Why.... WHY did they make it live action?.... Not only did it completely suck any and all connections I made with the characters, they still tried to portray those characters as they were in the animated cartoon, which NEVE WORKS (refer to the fairy odd parents live action movie for proof of this).... It's was a big slap to the face for those who had a legitimate connection to the original.

 

2: The Amazing Adventure of Gumball

 

..... IDIOCRACY IS NOT A REDEEMABLE REPLACEMENT FOR CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!!!!

That's all I have to say about this show.

 

1: Peppa Pig

 

Ok so I know what your thinking.... Its a show designed for infants and toddlers..... I'm not pissed at it for being a show I'm not entertained by... No I'm pissed because it's an asinine abomination that I truly believe will make any child who watches it dumber..... I will not let my nieces and nephews watch this rubbish... It's basically a show following a family of pigs who do nothing but go about everyday life.... And that's it.... It's like moldy mcdonalds for your child's brain.

I'm not really familiar with any of these shows with the exception of Spongebob. MLP seems to be the most cartoony thing I watch.

 

Though I do know a couple of people who watch a show called "Regular Show". I just find it simply... awful... 

I tend to think the media has a weird perception of what "humour" is sometimes.

I hate pretty much all sitcoms.. Big bang theory has just become another show where ''sex'' and girlfriends is the main issue and I might add that all the geeky things they talk about arent really accurate all the time.

 

Generaly any show where there is fake audiance laughter after every fcking sentance. Even when it isnt even funny.

How about every Nickelodeon and Disney Channel show ever (with a few exceptions. Eg. Old Spongebob, The Last Airbender, Hey Arnold!)? Aside from The Legend of Korra on Nickelodeon, I think all of their new shows , on both channels, are awful.   

 

Nickelodeon is only alive because Spongebob is still popular... sadly. It's a shame that most parents don't care what their kids watch, as Spongebob has seriously pissed me off with a lot of the new episodes.  :okiedokielokie:

"Game of Thrones" pisses me off, but not because I don't enjoy it lol.  The sudden, arguably unexpected main character deaths have gone from poignant and startling to cliche, and now they generally elicit this response from me: "Well, that's what I get for actually liking a character."  Rarely do the characters I most want to die actually die; GRRM has been trolling everyone since he penned the first book. xD  And some characters (GRRM clearly plays favorites) can make all the wrong or ill-advised (or just plain boring) moves in the world and things still go their way in the end / relatively good fortune just falls into their respective laps.  I'm also annoyed at the chronological mess that the books are (compared against the show).  I'd actually read four of the books in the ASoIaF series (AGoT, ACoK, ASoS, and AFfC) after seeing the first two seasons, and - even though the show's currently following events in the third book - I *still* had stuff spoilered starting back in the previous season.  I don't think I even want to continue with the books anymore. xD  But I'll continue watching the show.  And before anyone eats me alive: this is very much a love / hate rollercoaster ride of emotions for me.  Which actually makes the work / series as a whole quite effective and compelling in its own twisted heart-wrenching way.

 

Most any "reality" shows.

I don't think I can make a proper list so I'll just put the show and the reason.

 

CatDog: I'm gonna get a lot o "SCREW YOU IT'S A 90S NICKELODEON CLASSIC! HOW DARE YOU HATE IT YOU STUPID 2000S KID!" Look, I tried to watch this show, but it ended up just pissing me off. First off, the show is just extremely mean spirited. Most of the characters are assholes who's sole purpose in the show is torturing or beating up Cat and Dog and that's it. That's pretty much all most of the characters do in this show. And worse, it's for no reason. I mean Cat and Dog don't do anything bad and they get beaten up because characters being tortured is funny? Also if you don't care about the mean spiritless, then it's an extremely bland and boring experience. Nothing interesting happens in the episodes, and are either extremely predictable or just forgettable. I sometimes wonder how people like this show and then talk about how much unnecessary cruelty modern Spongebob has. 

 

Teen Titans Go!: "Hey let's bring back a show that didn't get a proper ending, and instead of giving it a proper ending, we are gonna dumb it down because kids can't follow a serious story! Also lets make Raven a brony, that will make the bronies latch on to this show!"

 

Johnny Test: So you pretty much steal material from both Dexter's Lab and Fairly Odd Parents, and manage to last this long? Also the characters are pretty selfish and each villain feels like a really bad parody of better villains. I think they were going for a show that's so bad it's good but they emphasized way too much on the former. 

 

New Spongebob: Like CatDog, it contains unnecessary cruelty (especially to Squidward), the characters have all been flanderized beyond belief, and the humor got even more stupid and forced.

 

Dora the Explorer: Hands down, the most repetitive show on television. Yes, even more repetitive than Pokemon and Phineas and Ferb. Also treats kids like idiots with Dora asking really obvious questions like where the mountain right behind her is. I get that it's a preschool show, but teach kids useful stuff instead of treating them like they're morons.

 

Fanboy and Chum Chum: Like modern Spongebob, except EVEN WORSE!

The shows that piss me off are:

 

Dora the Explorer, this is repetitive as hell, and it's so condescending to the child's intelligence, plus she is an over-the-top Hispanic stereotype, that seems to deepen ethic profiling rather than clearing up misconceptions.

 

Sofia the First, this show is boring, Sofia is so uninteresting, her story is generic, and the show is so formulaic, she does not hold a flame compared to Princess Twilight Sparkle.

 

Big Bang Theory, it seems like this show is a geeky version of Two and Half Men, sex jokes with nerds, and clichéd nerds at that, I have met some geeks before, but never like the ones in this show.

 

Pawn Stars, the History Channel has fallen from grace lately, frankly I don't like seeing historical items sold to a pawn shop, no matter how pretty it looks, but the worse part is watching people's greed, for they want thousands of dollars for the object.

 

Teen Titans Go!, the first show balanced action and comedy, but it was an action show first, sadly the new show is purely comedy, and it's not even good humour, it is a bad case of trying to hard.

 

Toddlers and Tiaras, this show is disgraceful, it is ignominious to the poor children involved, just used as a cult object by their parents, to channel their failed hopes to their child, this show should be cancelled.

 

CatDog, this show was weird, even from nineties shows like Ren and Stimpy, this whole concept of a cat and dog conjoined twins is a odd choice, and the gross-out humour in this show, made me uncomfortable even as a kid.

• Scripted "Reality" shows"- These kind of shows just aggravate the crap out of me. Usually they are just total stupidity about total idiots and have BAD acting. One exception that I did like was Ma's Roadhouse (Tru TV) only because "Ma" was just so hilariously ridiculous.

 

• Lazily drawn or overly dumb cartoons like Uncle Grandpa, Adventure Time, Super Jail, and other stuff like that also annoys me. I don't really care for Regular Show either because the two main characters are just so dumb for 23 year-olds. I do like the way the green character (Muscle guy or something) screams and freaks out though. I've watched the first few episodes of Adventure Time and Regular Show recently to see what they're like and didn't find the stories very interesting. All I could think was "Bender the dog" and "Spongebob (with a cold) the Ice Man" because I immediately could recognize their voice actors.

Do you know what really grinds my gears? Family Guy! I wouldn't mind it if it's was just your typical immature adult show that makes jokes that are almost funny, but fall on their faces. But the problem is, when they do bad, they do terribad! There of coarse was the episode Seahorse Seashell Party which said, "Stay in an abusive family as long as the abuser is happy!" Of how Not All Dogs go to Heaven implied, "God doesn't exist because Meg isn't physically attractive!" Yeah most of the morals end up being terrible, or just plain mean spirited.
