Need Advice On Weapon Forms for MLP

I need help with color schemes, design and details for MLP based weaponry.

I'd imagine that spears, swords, and other melee weapons could be imbued with different magical qualities by unicorns. Also, projectile energy weapons fueled by magic could be interesting.

I'm not to fond of the idea of ponies using weapons that normally require hands. Ideal pony weapons would most likely head or hoof mounted blades or spikes. And for the magic weilders; omnidirectional blades.

I've seen pictures of ponies drawing in full body armor that had mounted guns on it, like on the shoulders or on the sides like airplane wings. or what about something like a missile launcher? Perfect for the earth ponies and pegasi that can't use magic unicorns can for ranged attacks.

Spiked horse shoes, horn covers for unicorns with an opening(both concentrates their magic and protects their horn), wing blades for pegasi(canon as we see the Wonderbolts slice off Spike's spines).

 

If a pony wants to go the extra mile, have blades surgically attached to your hooves
