"I don't need help!" Blaze yelled out to Bliss and Hurricane, "The wind will only make it stronger stop! You're wounded Bliss, you should get back to the shield". Blaze stamped out the small branches and quickly pulled out his sword. He lifted the sword above his head using his magic and stabbed it into the ground. The sword glowed and began emitting a sphere of red energy that grew and grew until it reached the extent of the fire was moving to. The sphere gave off an intensely warm and tingly sensation that was very uncomfortable to those who were not use to it, Blaze could see Bliss and Hurrican partially had been caught by the penetrable sphere. "You should get out while you can", Blaze said with glowing red eyes.

Raze circled around the timberwolves, waiting for the right moment to strike. Then when the timberwolves he was facing were lined up in a row for a split second, he moved with lightning speed, slashing them with his two blades with quick precision, until they all shattered at the same time. Raze sighed, and realized how much his skills could be improved if he had "him" around, but quickly shook off the idea. He hadn't used "him" in a while, not since he put him in that gem used to suppress his powers. He shook his head, and kept going.

Bliss snorted at Blaze for disregarding not only her help but Hurricane's efforts too, and instead bolted from the sphere and headed to the lake she spoke of and grabbed the designated leaves as described. She tore a good sized one from a branch, dipped it in the water and quickly carried it back, dosing a tree that was nearby Blaze, cutting off anymore fire in that direction. "There..." she thought, "at least it's under control, Blaze can take care of the rest...SSSS...ouch..." she looked down at her leg... her cutie mark on her fur was all scratched up where the wolf first bit into her, before his fangs clawed down and sunk into her lower back leg...It was bleeding pretty good, and was display black and blue bruises in places where the fangs were lucky enough not to sink it.

 

Her leg didn't feel broken though to her relief, but it defiently looked infected and the muscles in some areas were damaged...Her ears dropped as she flew back to the protective spell of Clover, feeling useless as well as powerless. If only I were able to conjure a spell that would give me a protective shield around me...I could have been better off...now I'm worthless to the group...She sulked and attempted to tend her leg, trying to clean it, but the efforts of a rough tongue lapping at open cuts stung worse then a swarm of honey bees. "OUCH!" She moaned as she tried her best to tend it and hoped the rest of the wolves were taken care of.

White sighed as the wolves were driven back into the forest, the wounded ones withdrawing while the more healthy ones were fighting their way out. She examined the group before coming to rest her eyes on Lightning Bliss. "Oh, dear... here, let me look at that." Walking over to them carefully, she winced as she examined the wound carefully, trying to cause as little pain as possible. "My magic isn't strong enough to heal this quickly..." she said to Lightning, carefully. "I'll bind it up the best I can." Taking off her backpack, she took out bandages and a potion of antiseptic, carefully applying both- despite the pain it caused her as the antiseptic took effect. As she was working, Ixkom spoke up.

 

Not even thirty minutes in and we get attacked! But was this merely coincidence, or is something following us?

 

You are being paranoid. It's timberwolf season after all. We probably wandered into their territory by mistake.

 

Say what you want. I'm starting to think that there will be a fatality out of this trip. By the way, why aren't you going all Super Sayain to fix the wound?

Because it's for combat, not for healing alone.

 

Letting out another breath and she started wrapping up the leg. "This should be better in the next couple of days, but keep off of it. Use your wings whenever we're covering ground."

Hurricane moved out of blaze's way and gave him a sharp look. She was enraged. "Make the fire worse?!" the winds circled around it keeping it contained!" she yelled at him. Hurricane knew there was nothing much else she could do with blazes spell taking over the area. as she glanced around she spotted Lightning Bliss trying to clean a badly injured leg with a deep cut. She sighed and flew over to a bush not too far from all the action. she grabbed an averaged sized leas from it and flew over to another tree and broke off a branch. From the broken part of the tree a stream of sap came spewing out. she wiped the leaf on some of the sap and flew back over to Lightning Bliss. "A leg for a leg huh, Princess." she smirked. Hurricane was still limping due to her previous injury given to her by Lightning bliss. she handed the alicorn the leaf covered in sap. she saw that she already bandaged up. "If you put the sap on your wound, it will sting at first, but it will stop the bleeding."

Bliss bit her lip and twinged as White got to work on her leg...though grateful at least she didn't have to use her tongue to lap up all the blood. Sweet apple cider that tastes horrible...like rotten iron... She spit the blood that was still on her tongue out, and winced as she felt bandages being applied.

 

"Ouch! Gah," she caught herself as White continued to bandage, "I'm so sorry for this... I'm such an inconvience on all of you... I'm not the best fighter when it comes down to it...only when I'm angry enough I guess but...SSS OUCH!" She gripped her muzzle and pushed it to the ground, barring as White was finishing up, "ok ok... I'll try to stay off it but... I don't like the idea of flying for long periods of time... I know it's kinda silly. I was raise my first years in Cloudsdale, the rest in Appleloosa, I'm more at home running then flying, but I can do both."

She cringed then when Hurricane came over, seeming to mock her for her wounds that she so guessed, 'deserved', only to find she was offering some assistance with her knowledge in nature's healing magics. She didn't say a word and nodded reluctantly, now isn't the time to argue over how she called her name wise, her leg was hurting, she needed all the help she could get. "Thanks..." she nodded hummblely and took the branch with sap and lightly dabbed some on her hoof and rubbed it under the bandages. She bit her lip again as the stinging of the sap mixed with the aniseptic White gave her, really made her want to tear up, but she held it in till it subsided. "Well..." she spoke to Hurricane, "I'm as useless an alicorn as they come...now with this leg its guarenteed." She attempted to stand up only to find her back leg instinctively was hauled off the ground, making her put most of her weight on one side as she walked on her three legs. "I did follow your advice at least..." she continued at Hurricane, "at least somepony thought I was useful since "Blaze" claimed to have everything under control... Thanks for the help though." She stuck out her hoof to the black pegasi then, "I'm sorry for the kick...though I'm guess it wasn't that bad right? I mean here you are still look like your ready to fight and I"m down for the count." She chuckled trying to difuse the situation they had previously.

Hurricane ignored Lightning Bliss' extended hoof. "Don't pity yourself Princess, it's pathetic." she said. "You don't see me whining about a hurt leg." She tried to put her weight on her injured hoof and tried to hide the pain. She lifted her leg back up. "Also, don't forget this next time you need you need a favor." she smirked before she flew off looking for other timberwolves who needed to good beating.

Raze shook his head at the fact that the newcomer and Lightning were still bickering against each other. "Seriously, guys we're never gonna get anywhere if you keep arguing like tha--"

 

Suddenly, a timberwolf sprang out of nowhere and was charging at White and Lightning. Not having enough time to react, Raze threw himself in front of the timberwolf as it clawed at his face and body, leaving a few wounds here and there, and soon it was on top of him. But Raze managed to destroy the timberwolf with one of his blades, shattering it into pieces.

 

Raze grit his teeth in pain, as he tried to stand up.

Hurricane spotted a wolf about to spring on Lightning bliss and White Rose. she quickly dove down, but before she could anything, the wolf sprung and Raze destroyed it in one swing. She flew down near him while still giving him space. She looked at his wounds. Hurricane then flew back to the tree and got some more sap on a leaf. "Put this on." she said in a serious tone. "It will help with the bleeding. Take it or leave it."

Blaze rolled his eyes and let the sphere close in on him bringing all the flames closer to him and eventually ending up absorbing into his blade. Blaze let out a sigh of relief and took his sword and wrapped it back up in the cloth, he then walked towards Lightning Bliss, "Sorry about your leg Bliss, I started the fire, I just felt I should take care of it myself." Blaze walked away and went over to the edge of the lake and sat down.

Hurricane set the leaf on the sap on it in front of Raze then flew over to the opposite side of the lake that Blaze was on. She failed to notice him sitting on the other side. As she landed by the river bed she looked to her left and her right. When she thought no ponies were around she lifted a wing reveal a nasty burn under it. When she circled around the fire, she got a little too close to the flames. She closed her eyes and eased herself into the water cringing when it touched the burn, but then she felt relief.

Blaze lifted up his head to look at Vitani in the water. 'Why would she want to take a swim in the murky water here?' He thought he spotted a burn mark on the side of her wing, but he didn't see her react to it so he figured he was just seeing things. "What're you doing Vitani?l" Blaze asked gently.

Bliss, with her hoof still extended out, watched as Hurricane took off, not so much as a friendly hoof shake back. Heh...they say I'm the alicorn of peace...yet when I attempt to bring it back, its ignored... She shrugged and came to a decision then, that prehaps the new pony traveling with them was just not the type to like alicorns or other ponies in general...and decided to not bother making friends. Rather then to just respect each other and their space.

 

Then quite abruptly a wolf sprung at her and White before Raze came to their aid, taking the blunt of the attack, slashing the wolf into pieces but not without taking injuries himself. After awhile of everypony patching up, she sat up on her rump and levitated a branch over to tie it up against her chewed up leg as a makeshift splint so she didn't have to put weight on it, but rather on the stick itself. "Well..." she said quiet hesitently to any pony listening, "can we get out of here now?"

Once the threat had receeded, Clover removed the shield. "We ought to press on, if we can," she said. "This is quite clearly timberwolf territory, and we don't want to be constantly fighting off wolves. We should keep on and later, try and find a safe place to camp. I can put up wards all around the camp to protect us while we sleep."

((@,  Her name is Hurricane and she did react to the pain of the water hitting her burn. Also her burn is on her body. It can be hidden if her wing in folded in.))

 

Hurricane was startled by Blaze. She quickly snapped her wings back in close to her body to cover her burn. "Why do you care?" she said in a grumpy tone. She was still upset about Blaze nearly destroying the Everfree. "Why are you doing here?" she turned the question back on him.

Bliss stood up slowly while Hurricane and Blaze seemingly went to wash up as Raze and White tended to each other and Clover suggested they move on. But after a near death experience like that she wasn't surprised no pony was quite that bit a rush yet. Everypony was hurting in some form or another...not that she wasn't complaining.

"Well... I guess we'll move out in a few minutes when everypony is ready?" She looked to Raze concernly then lowered her head apologetically, "I'm sorry for what happened," she went on, "I was angry and stupid...Hurricane wasn't worth getting a fight over, petty words or not. The timberwolves were attracked to our outbursts. I won't speak for her but at least I can say I'm sorry...and hope to do better in the future... If you still want me to tag along that is."

 

She then reluctantly unstringed her sleeping bag along with her saddle bags onto the ground, giving her back some much needed relief, then sat back down, extending her injured leg out.

Raze looked at Lightning questionably. "What the heck are you talking about? Of course I still want you to tag along! Look, you're not useless to the group, you're far from it. You've got one hell of a kick if I say so myself, and once that leg heals, you'll be able to use it again, this time on a real threat." He smiled at her. "So come on, keep your head up. We still got a long way to go."

(God dammit! I'm so sorry. I know this isn't even the first time. I'm dealing with this person right now, and she's mad at me,

I wrote the post in a hurry. I know I'm not writing very professionally, and I'm sorry to everyone in the role play, also I knew where the burn really was. Was just playing stupid)

 

"I don't know, I guess I don't care." Blaze replied softly, as for the reason he was at the lake, he wasn't sure of that either. "I guess I'm here to get away from all the fire. For someone who claims to be a master with fire, I'm still very prone to making mistakes." He told Hurricane, shifting his head back to the water.

Hurricane walked out of the lake  and shook the water off of herself and sat down. "That's the problem with you alicorn's you think you can do anything, but you can't." She said to him. She didn't sound as angry. She said it rather casually. Hurricane had calmed down a bit. after a little bit of a silent pause, she spoke up. "I knew what I was doing with that fire ya know." she said calmly, but still angry with the slightest bit of hurt and hidden in her voice.

"Not that I didn't trust you, but wind like that tend to suck the flame into it and make it even more dangerous. Could've potentially created a fire tornado. And it's not even that, I started the fire, I felt it right to put it out." Blaze titled his head to look at Hurricanes wound. "I can heal your burn, if you'd like, I do specialize in fire and other wounds related to it, unless you don't trust me, and that's fine if you dont."

Hurricane gave Blaze a funny look for a second. No one offered to help her before. Then she snapped back. "It's like I said before, I knew what I was doing with the fire." she said angrily. "I had it under control. If I wanted to make a fire tornado, I would have." she snapped at him. "And no, I don't need help with my burn. I'll be fine. And you won't tell anypony about it."

Everlast crawled out from his hiding place. COWARD! COWARD! Internally screaming at himself he looked around and was figured he wasn't noticed.

 

He saw some of the party tending to their wounds and sighed. The part I CAN take care of and they don't need me for it.

 

What am I doing? Attempting to relive the "good ol' days"? I'm past prime. An old man who will slow them down. What skills I do have, they don't need me for. They have that covered. And I don't think they would be pleased if they realized they had a necromancer within the group.

 

Sighing once more, Everlast made his way toward the group where the pegasus was getting into another argument.

"As you wish", Blaze replied, getting up from his seat on the edge of the water. He began to start walking away, "Your secret is safe with me." Blaze walked towards the group while looking at the scorched trees that Blaze had set fire to. Blaze always thought he was more than capable of controlling small flames, obviously, he was wrong.

"Yes... ok," she sniffed and smiled to him just as Everlast came wondering back into the group. "Everlast? You doing ok? Everypony else got a little banged up, me included!" She grinnied in a joking matter, trying to bring back a bit of laughter into the group to shake off the tension of what previously happened. "Hopefully we'll get out of this forest quick though... I really don't want to set up camp in timberwolf territory, or diamond dog territory for that matter... IS there a faster way out of here Raze?"

Hurricane was slightly confused by Blaze's calm demeanor. She wasn't trying to get a rise a rise out of him, but she expected one. after he left, she went back for another dip in the water to help her burn. There was no hair where her burn was.  Her skin was red and raw. "Good luck hiding that." Hurricane said to herself. After she got out of the water she shook the water off of her and made her way back to the group. Her leg was feeling better and she could half walk half limp on it. As she approached everypony, she expected them all to yell at her at once. Then she noticed the pony that had dragged her and Lightning Bliss to the ground. Where had he been this whole time? she wondered.
