Titan Rising 2,156 June 18, 2014 Share June 18, 2014 It's caring about another person. Why do we care? Because we're friends. How does someone become friends? By establishing a connection between souls. How does that happen? I think it's through any interaction that brings people together. Scootalove 10,689 June 18, 2014 Share June 18, 2014 Love is where you not only put your partner before yourself, but you also find ways to find a compromise and make things work where it takes a strong bond along with a loyal dedication to each other. deadprofile 1,122 June 18, 2014 Share June 18, 2014 (edited) For me having gone through a childhood with a lack of love and the trauma associated with that, as well as being married for 3 years now, I feel like my outlook upon love is very raw. I know what it's like to be unloved and not wanted, but through the experience of that, I feel as if I learned how to love my husband in the strongest way possible. lightning-spark 34 July 2, 2014 Share July 2, 2014 Ok I fond that love is indescribable. It is a unshakable feeling that just happens and cannot be easily controlled. This feeling cannot be described by words. A person will know if they are in love. Imsay it is not easily controlled as it is possible, for exile I was in love with a girl for about 3 years and we had been bf/gf for a few times but in the end she ripped my heart out and that love became hatred. Love if controllable but at a cost. MARVEL alliance here to help my latest DJ mix -
crisahys 149 July 2, 2014 Share July 2, 2014 I think of love as people stabbing you in the front but hold you tight and close to where you feel that they still care about you regardless of how much it hurts. There was a quote (from the person whose name I forgot) that says, "If you have friends that stab you in the front, those are the kind of friends you should hang out with." Love is not people surgarcoating your life while stabbing you in the back. Love is holding on to a person who gives you straight-up, bitter, black coffee that we would call it as the truth. Acoustic Cloud 2,202 July 2, 2014 Share July 2, 2014 One of many reasons I hate English. Love is a something much deeper than how people use it today. "I love this food, I love the mall" That is such a perversion of the word. Take a look at Greek for example. (Though I'm a Hebrew man, myself) Agápe (ἀγάπη agápē[1]) means love in a "spiritual" sense. In the term s'agapo (Σ'αγαπώ), which means "I love you" in Ancient Greek, it often refers to a general affection or deeper sense of "true unconditional love" rather than the attraction suggested by "eros." Éros (ἔρως érōs[3]) is "physical" passionate love, with sensual desire and longing. Romantic, pure emotion without the balance of logic. "Love at first sight". The Modern Greek word "erotas" means "intimate love;" however, eros does not have to be sexual in nature. Philia (φιλία philía[4]) is "mental" love. It means affectionate regard or friendship in both ancient and modern Greek. This type of love has give and take. It is a dispassionate virtuous love, a concept developed by Aristotle. It includes loyalty to friends, family, and community, and requires virtue, equality and familiarity. Storge (στοργή storgē[5]) means "affection" in ancient and modern Greek. It is natural affection, like that felt by parents for offspring. Now that is a language that got it right. All concepts of the word "love"... but their actual concept of romance was a bit... weird. LightningMana 146 July 6, 2014 Share July 6, 2014 When the feeling is there, when you didn't intend on it or plan it, it just happened because it was supposed to. Your heart and soul has connected and bonded~ When you and the other you're with are just there for each other, no questions and are eager to be with each other~ And when you're not with each other, things aren't the same~ (not to be confused with the notion of having some healthy time apart, which is quite necessary). Love is accepting someone no matter what they think of themselves, or how they try to portray themselves to you, but how you see them and what you see in them~ Love isn't concerned with monetary gains~ When you love, you cherish the time you have with the one the love has grown with, and you never take them for granted~ because you couldn't imagine them not ever being around~ Avatar designed by my beloved VinylShadow~ ~~~COMMISSIONS OPEN~~~ http://mlpforums.com/topic/102640-lightning-mana-custom-pony-figure-commissions/
DND 2,355 July 6, 2014 Share July 6, 2014 (edited) Love is simply the most intense affection and emotion for a real living thing or an inanimate object a human being can muster. It doesn't matter what consists of the emotions. Most humans give anything and sacrifice anything for it because its that powerful and addicting. What makes you feel this way, you may ask? Chemical reactions that were mostly originally intended for mommies and reproduction. (Let's face it- in nature, most mammals' fathers leave the kid. I'm not a man-hater, I swear!)
