He thought.

 

"Its not your fault. If anything, I wish that I hadn't tripped and caused her to stand, and then fall into her own trap when she sat back down...  So... I take it you're from, well, the Crystal Empire?"

 

He asked, thinking it was fairly obvious. Though he couldn't be absolutely sure

Chrystal Heart giggled "but of course silly. all chrystal ponys are from the chrystal empire. but really its not your fault she aparently has done this before. i kinda wish Riley had explained that before we came anywhere near her." she said with an appologetic look.

Out of the group of six that originally occupied the cafe, not counting the breezie, only two now remained.

Rain butted in to awnser this one. "Nitro had asked me if I need help when he saw me aimlessly walking around manehatten looking for the paint store, then this other pony and his dragon who you guys havnt met came up and asked to see my map, uhhh then riley and alana. Soon sun came up and asked nitro something while I was in the store, crystal heart came up and started talking to us, we went out to lunch and here we are....I hope I didn't forget anything...." she muttered that last part to herself.

Pat: "So... You all just kinda jumped into this guy's tiny sports car and rode off together? I'm sorry, I just find that kind of funny. That just about goes against everything I've ever been taught about strangers as a foal!"

 

He looked at River, who had fallen asleep in his embrace, with Bluebell still on her nose.

 

"I think we'd better go back to my Parent's house for now. I think River has had enough of strangers for one day. If I even want to think about taking her back out tomorrow, She'd better get some relaxation."

As Aero Wind was traveling down the street, the restaurant caught his eye. "I could go for some food." he though, so he went into the restaurant.

The first thing that came to his attention was the large table with a huge number of ponies sitting there. "It's probably an organized party between close friends. Better go to a smaller table." he thought. Following that advice didn't work out so well, because on his way to one of the empty tables, he happened to step on the whoopee cushion that Anala threw onto the ground earlier. His eyes went wide and he froze up mid-step immediately as the sound traveled throughout the restaurant.

 

(OOC: There's been discussion in the OOC topic about pretending the incident with Anala never happened. I'm making this post assuming that none of the ponies have left the restaurant yet.)

Upon hearing the all-too-familiar sound of a whoopee cushion, Riley and Anala turned their heads to see the unfortunate stallion who had stumbled across it.

 

They began laughing hysterically... again.

 

"I don't know what's so funny about hearing that sound over and over... but it just is!" said Riley in between laughs.

Rain, surprised that someone actually stepped on it burst into a fit of giggles. Trying to calm herself she covers her mouth with her hoove, but fails and lets out fits of laughs as well. Soon after calming down though, she quickly said sorry.

Chrystal Heart sat silently she didn't laugh because to her this wasn't funny. she could see that the stallion was upset and didn't want to make him more upset by laughing about it. bluebell flitted around and stayed a fair distance from the stallion because she didn't want to risk getting swatted.

Nitro snickered a bit before starting to laugh holding his stomach. "Oh, that was just priceless!" He said as he continued to laugh and snort. It took a while to recover, but he was able to recover from the laughing fit. "Where did you get that whoopee cushion anyway?" Nitro asked.

Anala had stopped laughing, but Riley still had more laughter energy than ever, so Anala had to lightly hoof him in the gut to stop him.

 

"The whoopee cushion? As an employee of Manehattan Novelty Store, I get an employee discount," said Riley. "Anala and I would go there all the time as kids."

Aero felt very embarrassed and humiliated, hearing nothing but the laughter directed at him. He wanted the sudden attention he got to stop, but in the moment he couldn't think clearly. He remained there frozen for about half a minute before he thought of an idea to hopefully deflect attention away from him and to whoever pranked him.

He reached down and picked up the whoopee cushion, holding it above him so everypony can see. "Alright, who does this whoopee cushion belong to? If nopony claims it, it's mine." he announced loudly.

Riley was about to step up and take it, but Anala put an arm in front of him. "I got this, Tomato-Coat."

 

She walked up to the stallion. "A friend of mine - who totally isn't that red Pegasus stallion with the funky hair - left that whoopee cushion lying around and then went home to get something. If you hand it over, I can go and give it to him."

"Alright, here you go," Aero replied, handing Anala the whoopee cushion. He had calmed down since the laughter stopped and most ponies stopped paying attention to him. "Sorry, I guess I got a bit worked up. So, it was that red pegasus who put the whoopee cushion on the floor. Is he a prankster?" he asked.

"Oh wow! That's awesome!" Nitro stated. "How long have you been working there?" Nitro asked as he wiped the sweat off his face from the laughing fit with a napkin. The waiter soon came out with their food. "Mmm, looks good." Nitro stated as he looked at his hayburger

"Since I got out of school," said Riley. "I don't need many qualifications, it pays decently, and it's a lot of fun. So I figured it would be perfect for me! My parents often go 'tut-tut' and say I need to get a 'real job', but excuse me, it's my life and I'll do with it as I wish, thank you very much," he said. "Speaking of my family, I gotta introduce you to my little brother sometime."

 

"And as for me," added Anala, "I managed to get lots of people interested in the sport of archery, so I was able to start my own independent tutoring on utilizing a bow and arrow. The price is usually five Bits for a two-hour session, but since you're a friend of Riley, you can do it for free."

 

Just then, their apple pizza arrived. It was at least fourteen inches.

"Excuse me, uhh... sorry, I don't know your name," Aero began. It was only apparent he was talking to Anala because he was making eye contact with her. "My name's Aero Wind. Anyway, I accidentally overheard that. You just said you work as an archery tutor, right? See, lately I've been getting rather interested in giving archery a go, but I don't know how where to begin. So, I'm just wondering, would you be okay with introducing me to archery?"

Anala swallowed her mouthful of pizza and turned to the stallion. "Hey there, Aero. Yup, I'm Anala. And sure, I'd be glad to teach you archery sometime. Perhaps tomorrow? Being a Pegasus, you could be in mid-air to hold the arrows. As an Earth Pony, I had to practice before I could stay upright on two legs."

"It's nice to meet you, Anala," Aero responded. "Tomorrow is fine for me. How about from noon to two? You said it's five bits for a two-hour session, right?"

 

Aero looked around the table, and noticed there was an empty seat. He gestured to the it. "Do you mind if I join you?"

"Noon 'til two is fine by me," said Anala. "However, I might be digging into lunch at that time, so sorry if my speech gets muffled over the sound of chewing."

 

"And yes, you can sit here," she said, moving slightly to make the seat directly next to her more accessible.

 

"Want some pizza?" said Riley. "It's huuuuuge!" He spread his hooves apart to illustrate his point.

"Thanks," Aero said as he sat down next to Anala. "And thanks for sharing this pizza," he continued, as he took a slice from the pizza offered by Riley.

 

"This sure is a large group of friends, so I'll introduce myself again." He waited for the group's attention before continuing. "Hello everyone. I'm Aero Wind, or Aero for short. I'm a meteorologist who works at the Manehattan Weather Station. It's nice to meet you all."

Rain took a bite out of her salad when it reached the table. Then she turned to Aero Wind an swallowed "Im Artistic Rainmuffin, but you can call me Rain for short....Im a artist who makes a living off selling artwork....Nothing much inresting about me. Pleased to meet you though Aero." She said.

After Patterson saw the food he remembered that they hadn't even ordered yet. Mostly due to his tumble, and the distractions that followed.

 

Pat: "C'mon River, we'd better go back to our table and actually get something to eat."

 

River: "Are you positive you're alright?"

 

*sigh* "Don't worry about me, I'm fine... You know I've taken much worse hits before."

 

He said in a more hushed tone.

as Chrystal's Hayburger arrived she hungrily dug in. once her mouth was empty she turned to the stalion "I'm Chrystal Heart, i'm vacationing from the chrystal empire, my job there is the maintinence of the chrystal heart inncidentaly." she lifted Bluebell up where he could see her," and this is Bluebell the breezie" Bluebell waited for his reaction.
