music REDO i remade my other song....

So I remade a song which wasn't so good, plus it's not pony anymore, since it never really was anyways. It lacked on Bass, mastering, and chord progressions. The only real problem i see now is the chords, they are very simple. I've been getting musical help from many people, one person from the forums. Anyways i uploaded this about a month ago so its not new. Try to enjoy it XD. Criticisms appreciated, just don't be an ass.

It was good just on certain parts it seemed like the bass needed to be dropped a bit harder for the build up.

Okay, so...you're slowly getting there. Your song is in D# minor. You could've chose different cadences, as you went with only the basic i-i-VI-VII-i (In the universal minor scale). You could've done vi-IV-I-V (in the universal major scale), and even switch from D# minor to F# major, which would've made it a bit more interesting. 

 

I do give you kudos on those fill-ins and use of filters.

 

The mastering needs some work. You're lacking that pump bass this genre is known for. You have a little too much high end. Have a balance of low, mid and high, but mostly low for the percussion, especially the kick.

 

Keep at it though.

Thanks for the extra tips. I know the cadences are extremly basic and the mastering is not so good either. Didn't really realize the EQ problems until you mentioned them. I finished this a while ago, and haven't been working on serious stuff, i'm just playing around with music. At least until i get a lot better. So in the meanwhile i'll just practice and make other stuff to test my skills. Just kinda posted this get more help with stuff
