Gilda in season 5

Gilda was a very interesting character for me and a villain that could have totally been reformed. I sincerely hope they make an episode for her next season where they try to fix her flaws.

I don't get why Gilda gets so much 'grudge hate',its like anybody that makes precious Flutters anything less than happy is doomed to a eternity of hate from her fans.

 

Gilda wasn't a bad person,just butthurt and selfish towards sharing Rainbow Dashes friendship with anyone else.. I actually hope she returns at some point and makes amends.

Fixing her flaws? Hard task, she was surrounded all by friendly ponies and acted like jerk, honestly she annoys me a lot (and not only because of Fluttershy). Her return - well, I don't mind, but mane 6 would have hard task with reforming her. She is overreactive, selfish and thinks too high of herself, something would have to make a large impact on her in order to change her. So far even the fact that she has lost Rainbow Dash as a friend (despite considering her as best friend from what I remember) did not stop her from acting like this and I honestly don't know what can be change her if THAT was not able to do it.

What amuses me is that Trixie gets to come back, and everybody's okay with that. Gilda, though, she gets no second chances, she's just irredeemable... or so many would have it. Is it really just because she shouted at Fluttershy, of all ponies? I hope people who feel this way have more than that to say.

I would like to see an episode where there's something that puts the Griffon nation as a whole in danger, and Gilda comes to ask the ponies for help. She'd still dislike them, but over the course of the episode while she's working with them, her attitude changes and she becomes their friend when they help her and the Griffons.

Im guessing most people aren't interested in seeing Gilda redeemed,apparently its too late for her because..she..was..mean..for one episode????

 

We don't even know if that was a good indication of her character or not...And even if it was,Trixie got her redemption,so why not Gilda,who was a close friend to Rainbow Dash?

 

One would think that having Gilda make amends and seeing the friendship Rainbow Dash has with the rest of the mane 6 become a inspiration to Gilda to better herself would be a good idea...

Gilda's just a cringeworthy character imo. Hate her voice, her attitude, and she is painfully one-dimensional. I guess the only reason to bring her back would be because she was Rainbow's friend. But honestly, I just think she's one of the worst characters on the show (like Snips and Snails level). Although I haven't seen the episode in awhile, so maybe there's more depth there

I wasn't the biggest fan of Gilda, but it would be nice to see her redeem herself. Honestly, I think when it comes to Gilda and Trixie, the latter is probably let off the hook because of her charisma and her smug self-satisfaction. That makes her a more interesting antagonist than the plain jerk-off bully that Gilda was.

 

Really, it would be nice to see her again as long as they let her develop her character.

Can't really forgive Gilda. She was just a total jerk, especially to poor Fluttershy. Thinking she's cool, thinking she's all that, when in reality, she's just a big fat coward wanting attention. If she comes back, somepony needs to give her a good and hard talk. Let's see who can break that heart of stone!

Why not? Personally among all of the antagonists, I think she'd be the most interesting to see.

Well, here's the thing, if Gilda returned how would she do it? She was sort of rejected in front of tons, made fun of, was mean to many others, and all of the mane six saw she wasn't a good...(person? Griffon? Griffon) She wasn't a good griffon. So if she came back, she'd probably come back seeking some sort of revenge, and would either have to apologize in the end, or fail at revenge and be driven off. That's just how I see it.
