ooc Grand Galloping Gala Role-play

You managed to get your hooves on a ticket to the Grand Galloping Gala. What you will do is up to you as long as you follow the rules: 

 

1. Keep the violence to a minimum. No guts and serious gore;

2. Watch your language;

3. Please do use English; 

4. Use as much grammar as you can, it will make you more understandable and make your posts easier to read;

5. No Mary Sue's;

6. No overpowered OCs;

7. Alicorns are ALLOWED, but please do re-think it 5 times before applying; 

8. No fill-ups[Pointless text that is just there to get over the minimum letters limit or to spam];

9. Yes, romances are allowed[This is the gala, jeez, what were you expecting], but please do keep in mind that there might be kids role-playing here;

10. Be sure to have fun, and not to ruin other peoples role-plays with whatever reasons. Goodluck! 

 

You apply your OCs in this OOC, I accept them and then you can roleplay. How you apply them is up to you, up to me is deciding wether I can accept you[i ain't that picky really].

 

You may role-play with several OCs. But do try and keep to just one OC please. And have a reason for why your pony got a ticket to the gala. This is not some random party you know. 

 

Also, if you wish choose a color that you wish your OCs chat text to have.

Actually, I have some questions. 

 

So why is she an alicorn? Was she born that way like Lady Gaga or did she turn all alicorny while singing to birds? I accepted her because there is nothing on how she became an alicorn so I guessed you have some sort of hidden backstory to it.

If you read on the "Other" section. You'll see why. Unicorns and pegasai have trisomies in their chromosomes. A trisomy occurs when an extra chromosome is added to a pair. Melody's dad was a pegasus and her mom was a unicorn. She was supposed to be a pegasus because the dominant trait always comes from the father. Because both trisomies were transfered at conception, this resulted in Melody being born as an Alicorn.

Are you sure that OC doesn't belong in a fighting RP? I really cannot base on anything on that page that would help me decide if he is good enough. I mean his whole backstory should be in the cutie mark section. 

 

I will need to think about this one... you have about an 80% change to be accepted since I hate refusing OCs... but yeah...

I think that from MLP you can establish that being an alicorn is not a trait that you are born with, it is something you earn. Can't you like have her find magic in music and how much it changes the world and other stuff and then...poof...alicorn? Would make a greater backstory ; D

This wasn't easy for me to conjure since she's an alicorn. But if allowed, she was given her ticket by Princess Luna, as an encouragement to show up at the Gala to make a good impression amongst the royals.

Oh Dear Blissy, the only reason this is here is because you decided to no longer host a gala role-play and me and DashieHeart really felt like continuing that one amazing Gala. ^-^. 

 

Also, I got nothing against your Alicorn OC without even looking at the Forum page. ^-^

Anyway, me and Dashie were thinking of simply continuing that other one... but I think I might just have this be a completely new one[Probably the exactly next one]... not that much of a problem really since we haven't started yet.

Well... that does complicate things... and I am trying to keep somewhat canon. And with this and if you can be born an alicorn as much as you can end up with a 0-Blood type, it just doesn't seem right.

Eh no offense but if there's gonna be another alicorn in this RP I may not join. I'm already in another RP with two other alicorns and already I feel like a misfit since my OC is NOT OP and I actually worked hard to make her somewhat cannon. It complicates things for me when I RP with other alicorns that are either OP, or don't have a reasonable explanation.

 

Of course if ya'll would stil like me to attend I'll bite my lip

Melody is one of my least used OCs, if you don't mind. It just won't seem fair allowing Bliss to join with her Alicorn OC but not me. Sorry if I sound whiny, but I'm not.

1. Apply with a different OC,

2. Change the backstory of the pony so that there is some better reason to why she is an alicorn other then being born that was like Lady Gaga,

3. Leave the RP,

4. Keep on pressing me with wanting your OC to be in this and I will probably say yes because I hate refusing OCs : P[Please don't go for this one].

Well I know how to play as an alicorn as well...

 

Ugh...this is why I'm not a fan of canon...it destroys many "what if" concepts that people put in their backstories...

Sorry dash, and i know im gonna regret saying this but alicorns are gods, if you played an alicorn in d and d, it would be a god tier character immediately, so in response all alicorns are op, also how does an earth pony use magic and give itself wings???

Well that's your opinion on alicorns being 'gods', and I respect that, but as a result it has scared me off from this RP entirely now. My OC is not OP or immortal. She's been udged by several other members and isn't  considered Mary Sue, which I struggled hard to avoid. If you think she is though, then again its your opinion.

Dude... no matter how many ways you look at it, that is OP. I was about to say "Omg an earth pony! This will be interesting!" but then you had to go and give her magic abilities...Not even my alicorn OC can sprout new limbs or appendages.

Look I don't want to make a scene. Thunder Dash was here first, he wants to use a random "mutated gene" alicorn for his OC, well good for him. Sadly though I won't attend this Rp especially when there are two people that probably won't like my OC participating here anyway. Sorry about that. Maybe I'll join in the next RP you host, if invited of course. I just happened to hop in this one thinking it was another chance at a descent gala RP, not hosted by me, and was hoping it'd be fun. But i can't forsee myself having fun with two players that may have issues with my OC.
