I'm a multiverse man, so I say, sure, why not have other planes. They could have a season long story arc where an artificial plane attempts to overlay Equestria's plane in order to corrpupt it a la Rath in Magic the Gathering. That would awesome. Breezies' Fluttervalley (Borrowing a name from prior generations of MLP) Taurtarus (Twilight uses an interesting and valid pronunciation when she first mentions it, so I'm spelling it that way.) Luna's Dreamscape Celestia's Astral Plane Equestria Girls And there is a running theory that we're seeing episodes from several slightly different dimensions. I think Discord came from a different plane of existence. On another note, maybe you should have said "dimension" instead of "plane", because aren't they the same thing? A Dimension is excluded from "reality" while a "Plane" is connected "reality" so in other words a plane is something you can visit. There are several mentions of times where the ponies indeed have visited such a plane indeed. Examples: - Luna and dreamscapes - Tartarus - While the magic mirror might be a plane it might also be a dimension on its own - The realm where Twillight ascended - Twillight visiting the past with Zecoras potion - Breezies home could also be considered a plane 2 Silly muffins, of course i have to eat you. Well a different dimension implies a whole new set of rules, like it exists independently of whatever dimension you currently occupy. Planes exist as a sort of byproduct of the base reality. Such as the various "elemental planes" exist as the source of the elements that compose the base plane. As for the topic itself, as others have stated, there are obviously various dimensions existing in the universe but the idea that the episodes themselves are all in different dimensions is an idea that is not too clear.
