Friends Forever #7 (Spoilers)

I finished the newest Friends Forever just now. I thought it was really good! I really liked how they handled Luna's motivation for wanting to be more funny, so that she could beat Celestia at something. I thought it made sense for her character.

 

Pinkie was great too. I loved that they brought back her inanimate object friends from Party of One.

 

 

 

 

 

Has anybody else read it yet? What did ya'll think?

yes! I completely agree, although I must say when I first herd that it was a Luna/Pinkie I was a bit concerned because I thought that it sounded like a weird combination, but I must say that when I finally read it I loved it!

I thought it was pretty, and I especially thought that the moral was easily one of the strongest of the whole series. Excellently done.

 

And of course, nice to see Luna get the spotlight, and I LOVE how turned out. Easily one of the best of the Forever Friends series.

I too was a bit apprehensive when I heard it was going to be Luna and Pinkie. They just seem like such opposites that I couldn't see it not becoming awkward in some way. I'm glad to say that I was wrong about that. My favorite panel has to be the image of Luna seething following her outburst when Pinkie starts laughing at the fact that she triggered all the pranks. Also, if you notice, all three rules of comedy Twilight brought up were used in the end (Timing, something unexpected and the all encompassing Rule of Three). 

 

I would like to note through that, while I know the Royal Guard doesn't have the best publicity, when your job is to protect the Princesses, I'm pretty sure your first response to turning around and seeing a monster is not to run away with your tail literally between your legs and leaving a yellow trail in your wake. 

 

...Ok, it didn't happen exactly like that, but you get my point!

Little underwhelming for me but not remotely bad. Quite enjoyable.

 

It kinda seemed to be a repeat of many themes from Luna Eclipsed and conflicts too much with the other comic.

Luna. The beginning was rather tedious and sadly it was not as funny as other comics.
