ScaleWrangler 122 August 2, 2014 Share August 2, 2014 OK so i know we have a 'Show your pets thread' But i'm curious as to the personalities of said pets. For example, My Bosc is a cheeky little bugger, and insanely clever He constantly escapes and makes himself a nest out of my clothes, then waits there until i come back and stares at me with his little smug face like 'hah, you cant do anything to contain me!' Currently he's sunning himself In my window (no tan lines) 2 If it has scales ... I'm all over it Luna For Prime Minister "Anyone for a spot of tea?" SFyr 1,982 August 2, 2014 Share August 2, 2014 (edited) Well, our family dog, this little Pomeranian-looking mixbreed, is pretty curious yet clingy I guess would be a summative. When scared, he'll try to hide in the corner or climb up as high as he can (we call it turning into a parrot, because if your on the couch he'll even try to climb to your shoulders). When excited he'll just bark and wag and sniff and bark... He'll even like, shake with excitement when seeing another creature, such as a mouse or other dog. Sometimes when left out of a room and separate from his 'mama', he'll just lay quietly with his nose to the bottom corner of the door until it opens. QuasarBeam 135 August 2, 2014 Share August 2, 2014 Gimli is still quite young (about 2 years) but we like to joke that he was born an old man. He is very lazy most of the time but will go crazy if you take him to the dog park with the lake! Actually, we havn't gone in a while and he is in the car, he will refuse to get out until you drive him there.... or when he gives up and gets hungry. He's a total mama's boy and follows me around everywhere. Gimli is pretty talkative too and will start snarking if he wants something "war wah rwawr hunf!" (usually a belly rub or a spot on the couch). He flutters his ears when you talk to him. Corgis gonna corg. Hubble is my fattest fluffiest chicken and is an avid bug-catcher. She loves to 'sing' in the evening and let everyone know that it is close to bed time lol. She comes on command and likes to doze off in your lap if you let her. Io is my smallest chicken (right now. shes still pretty young) and can be a little skittish if you come up on her quickly. If you let her, she will climb up on your shoulder and bury herself in your hair to snuggle. She makes an adorable peeping noise when she does this! Quasar (yeah I had a space theme when I named my birds) is probably the prettiest chicken you ever did see. She has black feathers that shine blue/green/purple like beetle shell and has little star-like white spots all over. She too comes when called and chortles back when you talk to her. My husband also has a dog and a cat, but I'll let him post about them when I finally convince him to create an account
Ardhacandra 133 August 2, 2014 Share August 2, 2014 This.. Is an awesome idea! Great topic, dude. Anyway, I will start with my current pet, because he is easy to discribe. HE IS STUPID! No, really. My cat is very stupid. First time we let him loose in the house, he tried to hid behind our freezer, where it was safe... HOWEVER! His entire butt stuck out... One time, we had to put him in a cage because he was sick. We put his litter box in the cage. He thoughts he could escape the cage by going into the litter box, and goin back out... He tried that many times. Yeah, he's really stupid. But also very gentle and kind. He never really attacked anyone of us, even if you would normally expect that from a cat. If he hurts you, it's pure frustration. Our cat before that... Oh, she was smart. She could open doors, she knew where my room was, so whenever she wanted to visit me... She asked my parents that she could go outside, and she succeded. Then, she she would just enter my room through my window, and it was a win for her xD She was also far better at manipulating us to get what she wanted... Yeah, I miss my little cat If only pets could live on forever... The white one is my current cat (AKA, stupid) The turtle one is my former cat (AKA, genius) 1 Something (or someone) is TRULY discriminated against if we can't talk about it without any fear of suffering prejudice yourself. Troblems 5,619 August 2, 2014 Share August 2, 2014 I generally try to find stupid animals when I choose them, as they tend to be a bit easier to handle. I always fail. My pup: He seems pretty dumb sometimes, and then he does something unfortunately clever. That picture is from the second day we had him. We've had him about a year now, and I'm a total sucker when it comes to him. He knows it too. I taught him to balance on his back legs. This was a mistake. That's him about a month ago hiding from the heat of the day. The cats are more my husband's pets than mine, since I'm not really a big cat fan. Here they are watching "cat TV": The larger black one, Hypnos is not very bright, but he can balance completely on his back legs to get at things that would ordinarily be too difficult for him to get to. He also has the most piercing meow ever. The smaller black and white one, Drop Bear is ridiculously intelligent, and every time you look at him you can see it in his eyes that he's plotting to overthrow the world. He's also extremely skittish, and only wants attention when he comes to you, not you to him. Finally, my bunny girl. She is the most ungrateful wretch of a pet I've ever had, and I love her to little bunny bit. She is anti-social, and only will only pay attention to you if you have bananas. One afternoon when she wanted to go outside and was being ignored, she bit my husband's Achilles tendon just to get his attention. Hard. I almost peed myself laughing when she did that. 2 I got an extra hour in the ballpit

Callisto 1,877 August 2, 2014 Share August 2, 2014 We have three dogs. Our daschund, Popeye, is, frankly, kinda dumb. He's spolied rotten, too, but we love him anyways. Our jack russel, Jack (creative name, I know), is very awkward. His movements are really stiff, he's constantly staring at stuff, and he's scared of just about everything, including lights, cameras, freezers, and glitter. Our labrador, Chloe is really hyper and surprisingly emotional. She's also pretty smart; she figured out how to open one of our doors! 1 Y'know, I've been on this site for almost ten years and I've never had a proper signature. Ain't that something? I once had a duck named 'Aflac' He was awesome and had a very quirky personality! I would not recommend if you have an unprotected pool! While hillarious to see them swimming..... the poo.... Poor lil' guy He looks quite rough there .. probably for the best some of the things that can happen to reps .. are quite terrible and sometimes not worth keeping them alive to suffer I neglected to mention that skippy's vivarium had become a nesting site for bees (which was how he was found, a local gardener spotted a large swarm and thought it was odd) .. and the bees were being very territorial, he had to recover from numerous stings on his body and a few even in his mouth. CuriousPony 157 December 19, 2014 Share December 19, 2014 My family's dog is... me. No really. We have the exact same personality. It's eerie. I've never had an animal remind me so much of myself. The dog we had before her was... kinda dumb. He used to run around and bang his head against things, and then keep running as if it never even happened. He also had a destructo tail that could give you bruises when we got too happy. He was THE stereotypical "dumb but also overly happy about everything" dog. Me in a nutshell. Handsome Changeling 1,851 December 19, 2014 Share December 19, 2014 (edited) I have my Savage little Tokay Gecko and my adorably skittish Crimson Giant Day Gecko, I have more pets but these two strike me as the best in personalities heheh. I do love these two in personality because I can interact with both of them, The Tokay much less though for obvious reasons.
