GXPBlast 597 August 2, 2014 Share August 2, 2014 We all know that bronies are very common in really all places of the internet. If you go to any forum, website, message board, or YouTube video there are bound to be people with pony avatars even if the site or video has nothing to do with MLP in general. What I have noticed though is that on YouTube videos I visit unrelated to MLP many of them have people with comments up voted to the top even if its a basic comment. One video I noticed had a brony user with forty thumbs up. This user was simply commenting on the video and within a week already had forty likes. I am thinking most of those likes came from other bronies simply because they spotted another brony on the video. Not much for the substance but rather for being a brony itself. I am sure some of those comments were up voted for substance to some degree but more so because they are a brony. Anyone else notice this trend of up voting comments by other bronies on unrelated MLP videos just because they are a brony? Also do you do this as well?

ghostfacekiller39 23,860 August 2, 2014 Share August 2, 2014 Maybe because the anti-Brony movement is in a serious decline? I know that the old case way back when was that someone with a pony avatar would get flagged for spam or belittled or something along those lines, but now, it's just "meh." Jeric 46,854 August 2, 2014 Share August 2, 2014 (edited) I have noticed this from time to time as well. Personal I don't get up voted for this reason since I don't have a Pony avatar image. I may change that for a month and see if my YT comment activity changes. And yes I do up vote Bronies if the comment is not annoying or abrasive. I suspect that an image of a Pony catches my eye quicker. Edited August 2, 2014 by Jeric
Will Guide 21,362 August 2, 2014 Share August 2, 2014 I use my Ponysona as my Youtube avatar and I don't get upvoted. WunderWaffen_ 165 August 3, 2014 Share August 3, 2014 Here is just an example of the many I have seen. Who ever created that insult to grammar, the English language and Literature professors everywhere, deserves his Google account deleted. Not a single capital letter! Or period! Or apostrophe! It hurts me to even look at that comment. *Grammar nazi takes over* Ich liebe grammatik! But in all seriousness, Maybe we deserve the upvotes! After all the consistent slurs and stereotypes. It's nice to see a brony ontop for once. Usually we are cast to the "weirdo" bin. Now we command a touch of respect. Even if it is from other bronies. Maybe the upvote is for the recognition of one person understanding he is not the only "weirdo" to ever grace the internet. Even if they may write like a 5 year-old with Parkinsons. 1 ___________________________________________________________________________________________ STEAM | YouTube Embrace your enemies hate, Live in it, Become it. ReGen 1,466 August 3, 2014 Share August 3, 2014 I haven't seen any example of this yet, but then again, I don't really pay attention to someone's avatar when reading their comment. I don't care if they're a brony or not, I just care about the substance of their comment. 'Tis all. This is just a sign that being a brony will soon be mainstream. Paladin Butters 163 August 3, 2014 Share August 3, 2014 You get your own response and thinking of it that way, ONLY because your a Brony. Sometimes people are generally themselves on the internet and don't cause drama because they like it. Sometimes people aren't negative. Just roll with it. remove p l e a s e ? 800 August 3, 2014 Share August 3, 2014 (edited) My videos are actually getting spammed by some kid all because I was giving objections (lolPheonixWright) on a video of a person telling why Macs are better than Windows computers. So yeah, this kid gave me comments on ALL my videos saying: "huehue poni luver ur edit sux an so dew yoo!!1!1!1!11!!11" But I laughed until the day was over. Couldn't say I didn't see it coming though. Edited August 3, 2014 by Kilobyte_Writer9K out of my swamp

Jeric 46,854 August 3, 2014 Share August 3, 2014 Especially when you see a pony avatar on video you least expect to see bronies comment on. Bingo. One example was when I was watching a video on how to pin down a fuel pump issue and the top comment featured an avatar of Vinyl Sratch.

Guest August 3, 2014 Share August 3, 2014 Just because somebody else is being shouldn't be a reason to up vote. That's not the point of commenting. It should be upvoted because of the greatness. Nothing else.
NiceVillains 244 August 3, 2014 Share August 3, 2014 I saw a video that discusses something like this. It goes on about you see most people don't leave comments, more people read comments but don't leave comments, then the rare group is the one who actually leaves a comment, meaning theres a vocal minority, and because random haters have less support than bronies, bronies are going to win out in the end, and this will boost its popularity influencing the silent majority's opinion. it wasn't a video directly pertaining to bronies or mlp though, but it applies in this situation. What evidence could be for a god? Because, if god can do anything, surely a lesser being relative to god, could still trick humans without fail if they wanted to. Which means, a being that appears to be god, may not be god. So even if god showed up in person doing anything and everything, for all you know it could be a demon casting illusions or your brain plugged into the matrix. Just because it claims to be a god, does not mean it is. Thus, there is never evidence enough for a god. Which means you cannot have an accurate reason for believing in god. GXPBlast 597 August 6, 2014 Author Share August 6, 2014 (edited) I dunno, I see more anti-brony comments that get upvoted more than brony comments. But the bronies are catching up to the haters. Bronies are becoming more mainstream and I think that with our numbers growing, we are outnumbering the haters with a very vocal minority, hence why you see so many bronies being up voted in videos that have nothing to do with MLP. I mean many of us see a brony avatars with many like being the top comment when the video in question has nothing to do with ponies in general. Even in the many cases with the brony making a comment that is relevant to the video, just the fact that his avatar is a pony seems to gather many likes to it when many other comments have similar substance but dont have a pony avatar. Professor Annabella 330 August 17, 2014 Share August 17, 2014 I really, really, really hate Youtube comments. They are hateful, rude, mean, and it brings out bad people, bullies, but mostly absolute idiots. I never listen to them, ever, they just generally make me upset. I don't ever see many upvoted brony comments, only ones like these that make me want to punch a wall: Piss off. 86 people, really? 86 hateful assholes to me 2 Click My Sig to check out my OC Professor Annabella
