"I wouldn't..." Storm chuckled. "Except maybe to see if I could meet Princess Luna...." He said quietly "I really love her night, and her moon... And I would love to thank her for providing it.." Storm admitted to Stoneheart. "Alrighty then, seems the house has been painted!" He said, switching gears. "Wow, conversation really seems to make things go faster!"

Stoneheart looked at the beautifully painted walls.

 

This paint job is so much better than the horrible paint job I did.

 

"Thank you so much," she said gratefully. "How long should I wait before moving the couch and fridge back against the wall?" she asked him.

"Umm... Hang on a second.." Storm told her, before checking the paint label. "Ah, this brand.. Ok I'd give it about... fifteen to twenty minutes.." He told her. "The label says, you should only give it ten minutes... But I've seen and used this kind so I would say, again, fifteen to twenty minutes before checking." Storm smiled. "I would dry it myself, but that could potentially ruin it all... If it dries too fast it could crack the paint, and then all of this would need another layer... After chipping off the last one..." He explained

"Alright, thanks again," Stoneheart said. "I have one more question though. How many houses have you actually painted in Canterlot?" she asked curiously.

 

He's probably painted a lot of houses. I wonder how long it took him for one house to be finished. I bet it took a few hours or a couple days.

"Well...  I stayed there about two months and... I'd say I painted about ten different mansions... The final five were much easier since by then I could use my speed and knew what to do..." Storm said thoughtfully. "I mostly painted the outsides... and I was hired to paint a couple of shops too..." He remembered with a smile.

 

His smile widened. "Oh! By the way... You know Vinyl Scratch? I met her there, she was doing a DJ gig at some point. She's really popular as the premier 'DJ-PON3'... I had a few guitar gigs up there... Mostly from the less... 'Refined' restaurants though a few of those ones requested some soothing guitar music..." Storm frowned a bit. "Most of them prefer violins, or cellos." His smile suddenly leapt back onto his face. "Though listening to Octavia play, I could see why they liked cellos so much."

Wow! Sounds like he had a good time traveling back then.

 

"That sounds pretty cool! Sadly, I've never done anything that interesting or fun. I wish I could've, and I wish I could do it now," she said thoughtfully.

Void looked at Briar who was hanging back and wondered what he was doing.

"Hey, how come your hanging back? Me and Kelly are walking and your quite far behind us"

Void didn't want anypony to be separate so he wanted Briar to be next to them.

"Unless you prefer to hang back then I hope I am not being rude"

Void realized how rude he would have sounded as he smiled at Briar and he trotted back towards Kelly.

"It's good you came with us out of here Kelly, staying in here is just a death wish"

Kelly stopped suddenly while walking near the lake and answered Void. 

 

"You're following me because you pity me ?, you do not have to lie to me, I'm a weak pony that you think you need help is not, but this is not true, can you give me a space please?" 

 

Kelly followed the path seemed angry, she cashed in Void a bit of his fury.

Void was surprised at her display but giggled a little.

"Trust me I do not pity you, Anypony who is not used to this kind of Environment will die here and from what you said you are new to PonyVille so I assume you are not used to the Everfree, you are not weak either, your an Earth Pony so you are strong and probably quite agile with your Hooves"

Void said this with confidence at Kelly and he was sounding reassuring.

"Even I nearly died in here a few times so if I pity you how come I don't pity myself?"

Void was showing kindness as he said all this to prove he was not pitying Kelly.

Storm waved a hoof. "There's always time to have fun. And it was cool, but it was also pretty lonely..." He told her. "I'm happy that I traveled, but I'm even happier that I settled down in a place as nice as Ponyville." Storm said, grinning. "It's nice to have some stability and a sense of semi-routine in my life for once."

She kept walking while Void followed her, all right for her, one Changeling did not seem a bad creature, as she was still living in his past and this is the first changeling would have no problem. 

 

"Why are you following me yet ?, I'm not that interesting, I know I opened myself to you at that time in the woods, but I still believe in magical creatures."

Void smiled at Kelly.

"Do I need a reason to stay with a friend?"

Void was quite happy to stay walking with Kelly

"You are quite interesting to be honest, and trust me I ain't a bad magical creature quite the opposite to be serious with you"

He was in quite a happy mood and was nearly bouncing instead of walking.

"Yeah, that's true," Stoneheart agreed.

 

But I'm used to being lonely, so it wouldn't be that bad for me.

 

"But it gets boring having a routine after a while. I'd go by the same routine over and over and over as a filly, which was why my fillyhood was pretty boring," she said.

Kelly was still quite serious, she tends to be serious with ponies she does not know, and also this time with magical creatures. 

 

"I'm not interesting, and also I'm not friends with anyone you do not understand, do not want to touch it." 

 

Kelly continued walking with his head down looking at his own shadow

Void noted her serious attitude towards him. and toned it down a bit.

"Your forgetting something Kelly... I am your friend and I ain't lying either. I am your friend and always will be" 

Void was not letting Kelly feel bad about herself and was reassuring her the best he could as he put his arm around her neck and smiled.

"I ain't letting you make yourself feel bad Kelly"

Still serious Kelly lifted her head answered the Void. 

 

"But I only bring problems, I know you think I'm a pony that is amazing, but the only thing I have left is this mane, I, I can not rely on other ponies."

"Well if you have someplace in mind..." Storm started. "Don't hesitate to tell me!" He smiled. "I'd be happy to take a break to take friend on a trip and play tour guide!" Storm smiled. "And I'll pay for everything of course!" He stated. "I've got a lot of bits piling up just doing nothing!" Storm chuckled. "Those lazy bits!"

"Oh, alright," Stoneheart said. "But I wouldn't want you to pay for everything. I can pay for something as well. I just can't pay for the whole trip."

 

I'd feel bad asking him for that though. I've already asked him enough, and to ask him to pay for a whole trip? That's overdoing it.

Storm smiled "Well that's up to you..." He said. "But at least let me pay for the travel and hotel costs.." Storm told her. "And preferably for food too, but that's up to you." He smiled. "Like I said, I have a ton of bits just squirreled away."

 

Storm grinned widely. "Amazing how easy it is to save, when the only thing you actually NEED to purchase is food.. Sometimes not even that since I can cook..." Storm informed her. "I find that there are a lot of things around here that make for great ingredients!" He told Stoneheart proudly.

 

"I can get water from the clouds, and likewise for furniture.. So there isn't much I really need bits for, to be honest." Storm's smile nearly split his face. "And what better way to use bits I don't even need, than for a friend?" He asked rhetorically.

"Aw, well that's really kind of you," Stoneheart said sincerely. "But yeah, you do have all the resources you need. I have to buy all the things I need, since I can't cook, and I don't have a lake behind my house."

 

It'd be so much better if I had a lake behind my house, I wouldn't pay for water.

"OOH! OOH!" Storm exclaimed bouncing in place. "I could make you a lake! If we dig out a pit or something, I could get a cloud to fill it up!" He explained. "Then you could get free water too! We should totally do that sometime!" Storm said, continuing to bounce happily. "As for cooking... Is it a 'I could burn water' thing, or a 'I just don't know how' thing? 'Cause if you don't know how, I could totally teach you!" He exclaimed.

"I learned to cook on my own as a filly. It's more of a 'I could burn water' thing. I tend to overcook food, but I still ate it, since I didn't have anything else to eat besides what I burned," Stoneheart said, thinking back to when she burned her hoof when she first learned cooking.

*Gasps* "That's terrible!" Storm said, feeling sad on Stoneheart's behalf. "Nopony should have to deal with that! Next time I come over, I'm bringing some nice homecooked meals with me!" He said animatedly. "And I'll make sure that it's easy to save for later! I shall stuff your fridge with delicious meals!" Storm declared dramatically. "I don't want you even try and say I shouldn't, or that I've done/am doing too much! I have made up my mind, and my mind decided to make and bring some nice homemade meals!"

But I'm okay, really. I'm fine with store-bought meals and salad... At least I have money to buy food, even if it's low quality food.

Storm frowned as he stopped bouncing. "I don't feel sorry for you." He said. "I feel concerned about you, as a friend of yours." Storm clarified. "I may feel a bit sad about how your past sounds, but I'm more concerned about the here and now for you..." He told her, before sighing. "At least let me bring or make you one home-cooked meal? Please?" Storm pleaded with her, turning his head sideways, his ears going flat and eyes wide.
