Sunset deserves to be an alicorn, maybe not a princess... But an alicorn.

FIM hasn't really went into the philosophical nature of the alicorn and how they automatically assume leadership roles.

 

We have the origin story of Equestria with each of the three tribes with their own leaders.

Alicorns are the rulers of Equestria.

 

If Sunset is going to become an alicorn, might as well explain the purpose and history of them.

I think the permaportal was designed just to get over the 30moons plot device for future movies. I doubt there will be too much bleed over except for a Mlp movie taking place in the pony world (Make it bucking happen hasbro!)

 

I would love to see reconciliation between Shimmer and Celestia, that would be touching and adorables

It could either way: Sunset either stays in Equestria Girls World or might make an offical cameo/role in the main show. I'll like to wait and see.

Wait..if Twilight was a pony that that entered there and DOES have an other version - doesn't Sunset Shimmer too since she basically did the same exact thing as FiM Twilight? I could imagine how the real human SS would feel after the..incident.

Anyway, I think linking both worlds looks like a cool idea. If this Equestrian Academy side series comes out then this would be great to use, because now we know about human Twilight from the human world and having both worlds connected now, from what it looks like, the portal is open 24/7 now. Yay. And Sunset can now write friendship reports to Twilight, like how Twilight did with Celestia and now with the diary from Season 4.

 

I'm also curious about what will happen to the Dazzlings too, I like them. Maybe they come back, reform and relearn how to sing. If you're all curious I wrote a scenario for when they came back. I'll PM it to you if you want. Just ask ^^

 

I love Equestria Girls and MLP both. I can't wait to see what's in store in the near future :3

doubt it. they've said that they want to keep EQG separate from FIM.  the only thing I remember that could bridge the two is the presence of flash, and that's only in two episodes.

 

If it was Flash, Twily ignored him which indicates that Twily is into humans; yechhh

I rather things stay separate entities, though, to be honest, I doubt that's gonna happen.  We've already seen Brad/Flash Sentry/whatever in S4, including a semi-speaking role in the S4 finale as he announced the delegates. Hasbro wants the two things linked.  This gives them the opportunity to bridge that gap. 

 

S5 could have an episode dedicated to the mirror where the Mane6 get swapped with their counterparts in Equestria, Sunset Shimmer is the only one who can fix the problem and becomes the bridger of worlds or something along those lines. 

 

All in all, I just don't like Equestria Girls and would like it to stay out of my pony stuff.  But, that's just like my opinion. 

I liked "Equestria Girls" and LOVED "Rainbow Rocks". I can see Sunset Shimmer becoming "Princess of the Portal" some day. I think she would choose to stay in the human world though. That is where all of her friends are, after all.

I believe they did that to set up a third movie. I think they're doing their very best to treat this whole situation with care, with keeping the main series and the movies seperate. One wrong move and they could mess up a lot of things.

 

I personally don't think Sunset will ever make an appearance in the main series. Which in a way is a shame, because she's a great character.

Yeah, the first movie had a student acted surprised to hear Spike the Dog talking DESPITE the fact they just witnessed the bad girl turning into a raging she-demon, brainwashing all the students, and the new girl with 5 other students just went magical girl on the bad girl with a freaking rainbow!

 

It may resemble our world full of humans and technology, but it's not OUR real, live-action Earth where dogs don't talk and people don't act like anime.  :okiedokielokie:

Don't need to apologize, you're just stating a difference of opinion.  I dislike Equestria Girls cause it plays off the tired trope of the Highschooler looking to fit in, with the the trope being hosed down in Pony juice.  I tried to be open minded with Rainbow Rocks, but it just turned me off like the first film.  It would be nice to keep the two films separate from MLPFIM.  I got that connotation from Meghan McCarthy, but the newest film just reinforce the fact I misread her words; that "misreading words" seems to be the norm as I tried to take things at face value. 

 

 

I won't derail the thread, but, at this point in time, I'm reaching a point where I don't give a "flying feather" about things.  Let them make Twilight into Supreme Princess of Equestria, supreme Mary Sue, an Immortal that outlives her friends, rules over Equestria as she replaces Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, and other things.  What mostly draws me into things right now are the better episodes where Twilight is grounded in reality or absent with the other mane6 getting their proper dues.  Not to mention the fandom which, for better or worse, I actually enjoy conversing with over other people of the internet.
