What the hell is NEC? I've never heard of that brand in my life.

Some Japanese business machine OEM, I think. They also tried entering the home video game console market twice, in 1987 and 1994. Both times failed, so they stuck to business PCs.

If you can afford it, I'd suggest the GTX 750 Ti. Much more power for the money.

I second Darings recommendation, I have the 750ti FTW and it not only runs cool as a ice but is a hell of a lot of card for the money.

Are they a cut-rate deal like eMachines or something?

My dad has an HP Touchpad. We're probably gonna replace it with either a Windows or Android Asus tablet soon. Asus has been under fire for questionable customer support and quality control lately, but I'd sooner trust them with anything than HP. I love my Asus mobo, though.

Asus's quality control and support are amazing, I own a tablet from them that's built to a very high standard [ME572C] and their customer support [by email their phone support is trash] is amazing, the only complaint I have is that they take forever to fix RMA'd products.

And this is why you don't ever buy a pre-built desktop. I don't even know if you can properly call it a desktop, as it has a laptop processor and power supply and zero expansion. SATA cable for the mech drive isn't even plugged in!

1.5 GHz!

My CPU from 2009 out-paces that by miles!

For those who also are wondering about using a projector for PC gaming, I made a thread so that we may clarify as a community which type of projector is best for PC gaming (which will also translate to Console gaming as well). http://mlpforums.com/topic/118186-which-projector-tech-is-best-for-gaming-purposes/

Yes.

I got all my PC parts in the mail today.

I am ready.

Alright, me and my dad finished up building the system. Since it was getting kinda late, we don't really have much time to install Windows or any drivers right now, we'll have to do it tomorrow.

So, this is pretty cool considering I don't think I've spent even close to either number.

So I have 158 games and spent $808 on it, apparently. I can remember spending over $2000 on Xbox 360 games and only getting 25 games, so that ain't bad, honestly.

Oh yeah, don't use a right-angle SATA cable on the bottom-most mechanical drive, use a straight cable. It'll save you a lot of headache later.

97.9 hours in five years?

What?

Aside from Portal(which was being given away for 24 hours, I signed up just to get it), I didn't really use Steam until I built my gaming rig a few months ago.

Third day of CES, and no posts regarding CES?

I would imagine it's because no-one in this thread is there.

Also, what would happen if you don't activate Windows?

Because I still have the product key in my box, yet it doesn't seem to work. It says it's being used on  another PC, likely referring to another one I own, and I have to buy a new product key.
