Not upgrading to Windows 10 for a month or two after release. A few of the games I play regularly don't support it yet and probably wont till a short while after windows 10 releases.

Yeah, I won't either because I got many programs that are not ready for Win 10 yet...

I'll probably need to upgrade some parts of my PC at least next year :/

A new GPU should suffice but I'm not sure if it wouldn't be better to replace more^^

Or maybe wait a little bit longer and get a new more custom set once I got enough money...

I'll probably stick with 8.1

i've been running the techical preview for a while now. (build 10074)

tough i gotta say i just liked windows 8.1 more for some reason. i probably should wait untill i get the full version of windows 10 before i draw my verdict about it tough. because right now it doesn't even support some of my games, wich is a huge drawback for me. :P

For those of you who say you're gonna wait, remember that the upgrade offer lasts a year. After July 29, 2016, you have to buy it retail if you want Windows 10.

I might until the last minute as July of 2016 starts up and see where we are, then.

Oh yeah, Microsoft has explained what you'll lose when Windows 10 comes out.

RIP floppy disks. I personally won't lose much, but I'm not so sure about the lack of update control in Windows 10 Home, as Microsoft sometimes pushes out broken updates. Windows 10 Professional and Enterprise users still get control over updates, though.

Will USB external floppy drives still work?

If you can find a driver for it, yes.

I have a couple here that are plug-n-play, I think.

So Windows 10 for PC is launching July 19th. ANyone know the gaming advantages of Windows 10 over 8.1?

main gaming advantage is DX12 i think.

tough if you are gonna be using it for games only i recommend waiting a few months before getting it. some games still don't support windows 10!

Windows 10 Professional and Enterprise don't get forced updates. Besides, this is to prevent fragmentation.

Fragmenwhat?

A lot of support for older Windows things will drop, too. So, basically all of the good PC games won't be playable.
