I'm currently listening to the French version of Once Upon A Dream, which is from Sleeping Beauty. (Just so you know, I'm talking about the 1950s original one, not the remakes.) This and the English version are definitely my favorite versions of this song out there.

As always, I'm hooked on this band. But my love for them goes beyond the music, and deep into my spiritual self. Their lyrics are all about how terrible we treat the earth, and one another on a daily basis worldwide. They rail against our rampant pollution problems, and aim to get our warlike nature fired about a real problem instead of some petty profiteering scheme, which drives all current war in the world today. This band earns my respect higher than almost any other because of their pro environmental messages, whilst being one of the most heavy, bad ass bands I know.

Revisiting this soundtrack, I always find myself entranced by this track. It makes me think of the past, long forgotten days of childhood, carefree afternoons. Timeless memories that always linger with a hint of melancholy in the back of my mind. Happy times that I will only ever look back on now, and never again experience.
