I'm getting a Drawing Tablet. I have a question though.

So, I am looking into getting a new graphics tablet. I've always used the Bamboo Touch, and have gotten pretty comfortable with it. However, now I have the option to get a Small, Medium, or Large tablet.

My question to experienced digital artists is this. Do you feel that the size of the tablet impacts skill? Will getting the Large one be a different than the Medium? Or is it just preference.

I think so myself. I own a rather large Wacom tablet, and one of the advantages of my tablet is having a bigger touch screen to draw things. Even so, I dislike the size of my tablet and prefer something pocket-sized like the small Wacom tablet. Because of how big my tablet is, it takes up a fair bit of my desk.

Desk Space? What is this desk space of which you speak?

I would think that size isn't a big deal because I've noticed that 99% of the time, digital artists zoom in to work on details.

Alrighty then. I'm just talking from my experiences. My desk isn't too large, so because of that, I don't have enough room to move all that much.

Even though I don't own a Wacom tablet, large is my preferred choice, since you have more room to draw.

BTW, I am jealous of you.

At the moment I draw my stuff on paper, ink it, and then I scan it.

There's nothing wrong with that. Traditional Art has some things that digital art isn't able to copy.

Dont fly too low.

I used years ago trust tb4200 blind tablet and my pens pressure sensor not works. Ok, it was better than mouse but... Then falls lcd tablet's prices and i bought Cintiq 12WX. Only thing, what i dislike of that tablet - a bit small screen, it need scroll and zoom too often. And bigger screens have very different price levels...

imo, it won't really make a difference in the long run. I have a medium intuos pro and I have had no problems whatsoever with space. Large is only for big projects, and since you are just starting out, that isn't recommended.

Some weeks ago was in home problems with computers (needed one new), then i was look for Cintiq Companion but i find not free money for that toy and i carry hereafter that tablet, laptop and bundle of cables, if in work are some 2-3 hours long brakes.
