My favorite song on The Bends

Wow I actually really liked the sound of that song. I don't normally listen to stuff like Radiohead cause it's just too slow for me usually.

In other news, I spent all day yesterday listening to the new Rush CDs I got.

I think Moog will be pleased to hear that I've been listening to Radiohead lately. So far, The Bends is my favorite album, I actually like it a lot more than OK Computer. Gotta check out Kid A soon

Eh, I preferred OK Computer over The Bends, though still they're both awesome albums

I haven't really seen any Wavves on this thread, a shame since they're one of my favorite modern bands

I still need to check out Afraid of Heights, which I'll have to do sometime

Not all of Radiohead's stuff is slow, most of it actually starts out slow but then it builds up

Radiohead is too slow for you? Don't be rediculous now.

I'm gonna post some Radiohead now, for a while they were my favorite band. (I think.)

Since I loved The Seer so much, a couple of days ago I decided to check out Soundtracks For The Blind, I love this album way more than The Seer, that's official, though I still need to listen to Disc 2, which I should do sometime.

I've had this song on repeat for a while

Swans has to be one of my favorite bands in experimental music. I really can't decide if I prefer "Soundtracks" or "The Seer." I say "Soundtracks," just because it's been around longer.

I've been busy listening to a lot of Post-Punk lately so I'll be hanging out in this thread for a bit, Sonic Youth and old Swans ftw

Post-Punk, fak yes. Been up to some Teardrop Explodes lately. I can't seem to find the entire Kilimanjaro album on Youtube though :/

Oh yea, and I've been listening to Neutral Milk Hotel today

Should I feel bad to say that I still haven't listened to Neutral Milk Hotel yet? I keep planning on it, though I haven't really bothered with it. I'm probably gonna listen to that album sometime really soon.

I was listening to this as I was writing a review of it, but I accidentally pressed "back" and lost EVERYTHING. I don't feel like re-writing it all right now though; I already did one review today anyway.

You shouldn't really feel bad, but it's a classic and you should at least give it a shot. The second song can be annoying as hell (I swear to god, if I hear that "Jesus Christ I love you" one more time.....) but the rest is really dam good. However, if you're not into Indie, you'll probably not like it a lot, but as I just said: Give it a shot

I have come to the conclusion that Signals is one of the best Rush albums. Subdivisions, The Weapon, The Analog Kid, New World Man, that's some good shit.

I can't post videos, I'm on my phone, sorry.

Man I can't even remember the last time I listened to Nirvana, oh In Utero how much I've missed you

Speaking of Kid A, I picked up a copy of it at the used CD store that's relatively nearby and it had that hidden booklet in it that was released in the early copies of the album...I can barely understand what the fuck any of the stuff in it really means.

My dad recommended that I listen to "The Idiot" by Iggy Pop, and god damn was I blown away.

This is some evil music, and some of my favorite post-punk.

When it comes to Swans, most of my favorite material is actually their live stuff. 'Public Castration', 'Kill the Child' and 'Swans Are Dead' are all so intense.

Oh yeah their live stuff is pretty damn good, Swans would be a pretty cool band to see live

They're definitely on my list of bands to see in concert before I die

I can't for the life of me remember if I posted this song in here before, but this is a pretty underrated Rush song:

This is the only late 80's Rush song I like besides Force Ten and Show Don't Tell.

I'm really wondering if anybody but me has heard of these songs. they're both extremely good and I kinda want your opinion 92 if you haven't heard it already. I listen to these songs when I get really frustrated and "attempt" to play drums to them. xD

You might say some of these were metal, but frankly i see these more as rock for some reason Edited by Blue lightning

I posted some The Teardrop Explodes a few days ago, but I feel like posting them again. Seriously, Kilimjaro is such a great album, I highly recommend it to everybody who are looking for something a bit different (I'll upload the full album on Youtube tomorrow, so I might post it in this thread once I'm done)

My favorite track by them

The Rolling Stones not much more can be said bout this band. I love this type of music Rock n' Roll bluesy riffs. Mick Taylor and Keith Richards are insane.

underrated Rush song:

Amen to RUSH.

They have so many great songs and Geddy Lee is one legendary bassist at that. Can never go wrong listening to RUSH.

I had never heard the first band before, but it wasn't bad.

And I know James LaBrie is the vocalist of Dream Theater. I haven't listened to his solo stuff though.

Yeah, he's the best bassist I've heard personally. And you can't forget Neil Peart, he's considered one of the best drummers of all time, for good reason. And Alex Lifeson is a really underrated guitarist in my opinion.

Geddy Lee's a pretty great bassist, though you can't forget his contenders for that title such as Tom Jenkinson, Simon Gallup, Colin Greenwood, Les Claypool, and John Taylor.

And yes before you ask I play bass guitar (Even though I'm only starting) hence why I know the bassists from bands

Speaking of Tom Jenkinson he was the guy who inspired me to pick the bass the most out of anyone else, most of his works are electronic, though I don't think that it would hurt if I posted one of his bass solos here
