Poniverse Hearth's Warming Eve Contest

So, I was looking at your FiMfiction account (found you in the members list on the Poniverse group) and noticed that you don't happen to have a story posted up at the moment. I assume that it is because you finished it, but didn't submit it for the site's story approvers to read? If you did submit it, they may be taking a while to get to it. Trust me, it takes them about an hour or two after submitting for them to get to it. If you didn't submit, go to "My Stories" under your account and on your story, near the "Delete" tab on they little gray box above your description/synopsis, there will be a little cloud icon with an arrow that says "Submit" click there and it'll submit your story. If you are missing a few things (i.e. "Long Description") it will tell you to go back and edit that. Do so and click "Submit" again. It should then allow you to submit your story which the story approvers (the one who usually sees my stuff is Shadowflash) will see soon. You will then get a PM telling you the story was approved. Afterwards, try posting it to the group.

I'm sure plenty of people will enter. I think I'll certainly do so. Right now, I'm only thinking of things to write about though. Also, I am glad to see that there will be more contests after this one. That will be interesting.

We are currently doing a Hearth's Warming Eve contest ourselves and sadly, I am the only one who has entered so far. We'd love to have more members and a few more submissions in our contest.

 

I do believe that our next BIG holiday contest will be centered around Hearts and Hooves Day.

It was an alright story but I was significantly confused as to why you had Luna and Celestia as foals during the lifetime of the mane six. What made you decide to write such an alternate version of the show's timeline? When reading the story, I had not expected that it was not abiding by the correct timeline so it did confuse me, especially with no hints that could warn me until it was revealed.

Well... Let's just say that I get really creative at times. Sometimes more than what I wish for. As you read, that was the one time I got a little more creative than usual. And more confusing.

Oh man. I don't know. I'm currently working on a multi- chap story so... I 'll have to give this some thought  . Just saw this too. Why am I getting here so late? Doesn't help that I don't have any ideas for this either.

Hmmm... again, unfortunately I'm not quite sure what exactly is wrong in your case.  My guess is it hasn't been officially accepted or published by Fimfiction yet.  Check their guidelines, they have certain standards that a fic needs to meet in order to be published (needs to meet a certain word minimum, etc.), and if they're still not accepting it, contact one of their admins or techies over there.  I wish I could help, but I only run our group over there, not anything relating to the site itself.

 

In other news, the Poniverse group just recently reached 150 members, yay!!!

What a cute contest! I'm glad all the stories are available ahead of time, hopefully I'll be able to spend Hearth's- err, Christmas Eve snuggled up with my laptop and some hot tea or cocoa reading some festive pony stories 

 

One quick question though. I'm very unfamiliar with fimfiction, but I do know that stories don't just go up right away. How much time would you suggest someone leave themselves for 'processing'? I can be very bad when it comes to procrastination, and I wouldn't want to run into trouble!

Agreed with NoodleBrony, shouldn't take any longer than a day, but just to be safe, maybe give yourself two.  Can't wait to see what you come up with! 

 

And BTW, just a quick aside, your OC is adorable!!!    The color scheme is very lovely and unique if I do say so myself.

Thanks! Things are coming along nicely, so I should have it submitted with more than enough time. I'll be sure to keep that in mind though.
